Premiere Elements

I recently upgraded to a new hard drive. I transferred all my applications over. But Adobe is the only one that gave me a problem. It says I must deinstall and reinstall. I already de-installed. Now I'm trying to reinstall using the original Premiere Elements 14 disc. It says I need a 24 digit SN. there is no such serial # on any of the packaging. Very frustrated. I paid $99 for this suite and now can't use it.

I'm using PE 15. With the text tool, in addition to the small frame at the center where you enter your text, there are two larger rectangular frames, one within the other. What exactly are these for? Thanks.

Hi There,When I start a new project in Premiere Elements 2018 and add a new media (mov) file it is impored as an audio file instead of a video file.The mov file is from an iPhone 7It worked before .... does it have to do with a Windows 10 update maybe?Hope someone can help me with this.Thanks in advance for your help.Kind regards, Paul

Hi,I'm importing slides made in Adobe Spark which include a logo.When I import the file graphics become fuzzy and when I export as an mpeg they lose resolution again.Can anyone help please!Rachel

Hello,I am having the issue that I am either getting the error "something preventing successful DVD burn" or transcoding error. I have tried changing intel graphics setting within adobe, tried changing bitrate and removed fit to disc function. Please provide me with a solution to successfully burn the disc within Adobe - I do not want to create and ISO and then use a separate program to burn the disc.

Every time I open the program, I get to the screen that says Adobe Premiere Elements 2018 on the top, but when i click on video editor, it just closes. Any suggestions?

Just installed 2018 over an old copy of 2013 Premier Elements. In Quick mode there is no audio field shown in the timeline.  In Expert mode two different Audio fields appear, but in neither quick nor expert mode is any sound imported from the clip.  Running Windows 7 Professional, and working with AVCHD files stored to my hard drive (imported from a Canon camcorder).  Is there a workaround for the Dolby issue?  My Canon won't let me turn Dolby off.

I get this error when i start a new project "organiser database is corrupt"Also it gives another error " catalog could not be opened. I keep getting reminders that I need to perform an update to Adobe Premiere Elements 2018.  Every time I try to perform the update, I get an error message U43M1D207, that the update failed.  Any suggestions?  The same things has happened 4 or 5 times with the same error message.  Thank you[Here is the list of all Adobe forums... https://forums.adobe.com/welcome][Moved... I installed Adobe Premiere Elements 18 and it worked beautifully until Windows 10 updated. Now Ican load or create a project and add clips, etc., however when I attempt to reviewa clip in the timeline, nothing happens. I eventually get the spinning wheel ofdeath, a program not responding message and have to shut the application down.  I’ve updatedmy video driver, reset Adobe Premiere 18 and finally, reinstalled it, but nothing seems to work.  I find this to be very odd because my older version, Adobe Premiere elements 12works perfectly.  Any help with thisissue would be appreciated.Thanks

Why has Adobe decided to remove Blu ray authoring/burning from PE 2018? - why would I or thousands of other want to commit 1080p @ 35Mbps to a DVD that may depending on length of video only return a poor copy at around 6 to 8 mbps - whom ever the numb nut is that decided this was a good  business move has just put PE to the bottom of the league for prosumer video editing, I for one will not be purchasing PE 2018 and may even cancel my Photoshop CC account, totally ludicrous to say the least, that any company goes RETRO - if Adobe want PE to be for the little Boys and Girls to post their little silly videos on line then make a decent prosumer package for the enthusiast who don't want the bloated Premiere pro cc or indeed the expense of it.One disgusted and long time fan of Adobe (but no longer)

I have a Canon HV20 connected to a firewire card on my Windows 7 PC. Capturing HDV goes fine, but I can't capture DV. I selected DV as project settings, but that makes no difference. When I choose DV as setting, the camera does not respond. When I choose HDV the camera starts to play, but nothing is captured on my computer.

Hello, I have searched and only found questions about support for the HEIF (file extension HEIC) format now used by Apple on the iPhone - no answers.  I have taken hundreds of photos which are sitting in various folders and need to use them in Organizer/Premiere Elements.I know there are tools to convert them to JPEG but this is a problem because:It will cause a loss of fidelity (transcoding from one lossy format to another)It will mean multiple copies of the same photos, some well-organized by Organizer and others notAre there plans in the near future to support the format?  I've used Premiere Elements for many years now and I really don't want to invest in a competing product that does what I need.Thank you

I bought Premiere Elements 2018 and it does not work at all, see attachment. I already spent too much time trying to get it working.  Please return my money asap or I will reclaim from credit card company.

GeForce GTX 1070ti video card. Verified with DirectX Diagnostic Tool that it supports DirectX 10.0 among other versions.Intel Core i7-7700K CPU. Verified SSE2 supportWindows 10. I saved my slideshow projects I created in Premiere Elements Organizer in an external drive. I purchased another external drive and connected it to PC. Suddenly, the first external drive changed to H from F. Now I can't open projects. How can I fix this? Where had those projects been saved? I can't find any Path.Thanks

HiI face two issues on PE 18, avoding me using the softwhere for any movie creation.- Creating a new project, I can create audio and video tracks as usual, insert sounds and pictures/movies, but I have no screen allowing me to see the result of my video. Sound is working well, pictures not. No visualisation.This issue is not present from the first installation but almost : it works one or two times then didn't anymore. I made an update of the software (something about video format was proposed) and after update it worked again... but only once. The issue came back since the second usage.- on the action bar to run the project, where the play/pause, FWD, RWD button are, I have regularely an issue : the play button stay in "play" status, and doesn't switch to "pause" status. At the same time, the time line is not moving (even if the sound goes on). Hello, I've just started using Adobe Premiere and was trying to find out whether it is possible to edit (such as crop) individual photos / clips before inserting into the video / time line.  Any advice appreciated, many thanks

Ran across this with 2015 version and now the 2018 version.  When I click on the play button (little triangle), nothing (also tried the space bar).  I can grab the progress bar and manually move the cursor, but cannot play a video.  Probably a computer problem, but I'm at a loss.  Other video editing programs do work.

This is my first time using Elements Premiere. I have 2015. I added text that I want to appear through the whole video. I adjusted the layer the text appears on to fit the full video. However when I preview the video the text does not appear after the first track/slide (?) in the video. How do I make it so all the text flows as the video plays?

I am using Premiere Elements 15 for mac.  When I double-click on a clip in the timeline the viewer window opens.  When I try and close it, the wheel just spins and I have to force quit the program.  How do I fix this?

I purchased Adobe Premiere Elements 2018 a few days ago and I'm new to this software. I'm having several problems.  First, when I click play in the timeline, you can hear the audio but you can't see the video. You only see the main screen above the timeline (i.e., Add media, Create a template based movie....).  Second, the web cam is not recording. I get an error message saying, "Lost connection to drive."  I am using a brand new computer...a HP Pavilion Laptop 15-cc1xx with 12 mg of RAM and Window 10 Home.  It has a Intel UHD 620 and NVIDIA GeForce 940 MX video card. I have been using Premiere Elements 11.  I would like to upgrade to Premiere Elements 2018.  If I upgrade, will I be able to work with my existing Premiere Elements 11 projects?

I've been using Premiere Elements 15 in Expert Mode for a while and was interested to see what Adobe might do with the next version. I'm frankly disappointed with PE 2018 - the changes seem mainly focused on more automation of effects for the casual user and "smart" this or that, things I'm not interested in. As 15 was my first experience with PE, I was wondering what people who may have more of a history with the program anticipate for the future. Might Adobe make  changes to the tools and processing next time around that would be of interest to a more serious user, or is this the future of the program, in which case I might have to start looking elsewhere? Hello, I have a problem with a video in the playback window runs too slow and has no sound. I'm using Premiere Elements and I've never had this problem before.When I import it into Elements, it's in slow motion and the audio doesnt sync up at all. All older projects which play normaly are in a slow motion now and has no sounds too. When I've viewed the single clips in Windows player or VLC it's not in slow motion. I've reinstalled the program twice. Thank you
