Premiere Elements

I have Premiere Elements 15 for Mac.  The new macbooks don't have an internal DVD drive.  When I try importing video from an external drive Element doesn't even see the drive.  Please help me!

I have Premier Elements 2018.  I have added a song in the "Music" line, but I would like to clip and delete the first 20 seconds or so of the song. In the video/audio lines, I could place the CIT at the beginning of the song, click on the scissors, move the CIT to the 20 second mark, click the scissors again, then right click on the section and hit "Delete and Close Gap".  The beginning section of the song should be deleted and the remaining section moved to the beginning of the video.  I have looked all over for the answer but cannot find anything about this.  Please tell me that I did not just spend $100 on software that won't allow me to edit my soundtrack songs like it does the video/audio......Thanks~

Hello,I am using premeire elements 13, I haven't seen any updates since I first bought PE 13 that seemed to warrant upgrading, but I would certainly do so if it were necessary to accomplish what I want to do.Anyway, some quick background to my question: I worked for many years in NYC as a video editor in a linear editing suite. Every single piece of equipment was a separate, stand alone unit.Fast forward to today and most of what I used to do in the $500k room in which I worked is now available in very inexpensive software. The only thing I'm missing in PE has been a waveform monitor and vectorscope, so that I can accurately monitor and adjust brightness levels and colors. I'm happy enough with the tools provided in PE to make color and level adjustments, I would just like to be able to guage those adjustments using a wfm/vectorscope.I'm aware the these are provided in premiere pro but for what I'm doing I really don't need the pro version. Does anyone know of any 3rd party wfm/vectors

I was going to try out Adobe Premier Elements 2018  on a TRIAL basis but when I saw the nature of the errors logged I decided to go back to ADOBE PREMIER ELEMENTS 14.  While I was installing I noticed the 2018 version installed using C++ REDIST 2010 which didn't mean anything to me until I reinstalled ADOBE ELEMENTS 14 and it installed using the C++ REDIST 2013.  I thought that was odd using an OLDER version of C++ REDIST for the LATEST release.2018.

Hey guys,I am at a loss for what to do here, i have had premier elements for about 2-3 months and it was working fine up until a few weeks ago.  I bought this to make highlight videos of my video gaming, and began using shadow play highlights then switched to my twitch vods.  When i switched to the larger twitch streams to edit my computer began to randomly blue screen, or locking up so badly i would need to hard power down, when i would try to scroll forward in the video, i was hoping it was one corrupt file but the problem has gotten worse, i would save every minute or so as i was working thinking maybe it was just a cause of large files.  Fast forward to today, after my last blue screen premier elements will not even open but crashes on each time i try to start it.I did a fresh install of the program and it still just crashes on startup.  -I have 1080ti-i7 7700k 4.5 ghz-16gb ram Windows is updated and all drivers are also updated. 

Hi,I don't know where to start because Adobe PE 2018 has so many glitches, but I'll start with this.I started off with PE 9, and been using it for 10 years for my series I have been doing with my studio production team, but recently I bought a new powerful PC and PE 2018 since it was the latest one out as well as Windows 10 does not support PE 9, and the thing is PE 9 never had this many glitches or let's just say I got use to the software. Right now from my personal experience, it looks like PE 9 is better than PE 2018.When I load up one of the (PE 9) files on PE 2018, it opens fine, but there is a problem when saving the file (even with some recent work on it). I checked on the Windows explorer to see if the date had changed under Date modified, but nothing has changed. What I found out is PE 2018 can save a (PE 2018) file from scratch (which is normal), but cannot save a file from a previous software instalment (PE 9).Also in the files I have, the videos/clips that is already added

Hi, A few months ago I purchased a new copy of Premiere Elements 12 on DVD disc. It has been working fine and I was very pleased with it. Unfortunately my laptop died a couple of weeks ago - faulty motherboard (though the hard drive was ok).I have decided to buy a new laptop when I can afford to, and was wondering if I could reinstall Elements 12 on a new computer? It does not say anything about how many computers it can be installed on, and I can't uninstall it from my old dead computer as it won't even boot up. So will I have to buy another disc? Or can I deactivate the old installation in some way to allow me to reinstall? Or could I just reinstall it as it is without any problems? I've not yet got a new computer so I am unable to test this out, but perhaps someone out there knows the answer?Thank you.

So, about a month ago I switched from my old windows 7 computer to a windows 10. I had used the exact same program on an ongoing project for a few weeks, and moved it onto an external hard-drive. But once I tried to open it again, I got an error message, saying "This type of file is not supported, or the required codec is not installed." It's a .avi file, and I know it is supported because it was reading the file just fine on the other computer, so that leaves the codec. But I have no idea what that means. Help?

Using Premiere Elements 8 on a Windows 10 computer I have finished editing a video project that includes a disc menu and am ready to burn it to a DVD.  To verify the files are generating correctly I go to SHARE and send them to a 4.7 GB folder on a hard drive instead of directly to a DVD.  When I look at the files created VIDEO_TS.BUP, VIDEO_TS (.IFO) and VTS_01__0.BUP are there along with the actual video files for the project, but the VIDEO_TS (.VOB) file is missing.  Therefore the menu does not work using a media player, though the video files will run. The menu preview in PE shows the menu working just fine.  PE8 can successfully export all needed files for another similar project and VLC media player has no problem showing the menu and videos in that project.I have tried deleting and reinstalling PE8 as well as replacing the menu being used but still can not successfully generate the needed files.Has anyone else encountered this problem?  If so how was it

Hi everybodyI just bought the latest Premiere and was eager to start a new project. And I very soon regret my purchase. When I have finished and are pleased with my project, I'm trying to save my project (I´m using MacBook Pro 64 bit and I have 8GB memory) Premiere stops at 5 sec time remaining and 98% finished. This happens every time, no matter the size of my project. I thought that giving it time, it will finally save, but nothing happens. So what to do? I hope there are somebody out there who can help, and thank you in advance

I have Adobe Premiere Elements 14, and I am trying to edit a project.  However, I cannot import video clips.  It is not recognizing my Sony VTR.  I am using firewire to import into my computer and Adobe Premiere Elements.Michael Floyd

I have Adobe Premiere Elements 15 on my Dell Alienware Windows 10 computer. It won't load. The software is now unusable. When I open Adobe Premiere Elements 15, it stops loading at PlayerMediaCore.prm. It then waits a few minutes and says "We have detected an incompatible display driver. To get a better and faster playback performance, please update your display driver". I go to NVIDIA Geforce Experience and make sure that my drivers are updated. They are.What is going wrong?

Hey allHopefully there is an easy fix to this.I find that I can barely make a few edits without constant rendering or my video files will disappear while editing.*running i7-6700 CPU @3.4 GHz/32 GB RAM/GTX 1070I don't mind rendering, but it gets very time consuming if I have to render several times during a simple trim edit.  Im editing/uploading video several times a week.Thanks in advance...been searching for answers for weeks, finally resorted to starting a discussion.-nik

why is this not possible- or is it...?i can trim a video clip in lightroom. I ought to be able to send the clip to edit in premiere elements, yeah?I just want one place where I can preview, trim, tag, and then send to edit my files. It drives me crazy that lightroom does basic video editing but doesnt allow for sending to edit. means i need to use a seperate organizer (such as organizer!) but then are any changes (like to keywords) registered within lightroom?thanks!!

I am wanting to organize my video clips, both within folders and with keywording. If i make changes within one of these programs, does the other register the change? if I move a file, does the other program see that? And does it refresh keywords?A side question- If I move a file in bridge, does it also move any associated lightroom xml file? (im guessing no)Another side question- why can I trim a video clip in lightroom but not in bridge or organizer? Wuldn't either of those programs be more effective if timeline notes and trimming could be made? is there no way to do this?thanks!

Hello dear. Today i worked few hours to a video project, with the autosave mode activated...but i never  saved it with a title...then the computer crushed and when i reopened Elements and looked in the dashboard for the "recent" file, my project was simply not existing...Where Elements is storing autosaved projects by default, could you tell me? i need to publish it, nd i don't want to restart from scratch!Thank you.Filippo

In a 90 minute video of a recent Asia vacation, I put in titles throughout. Then I used smart trim to edit the video. When done all the titles had moved to other clips in the video. Is there any way to get around this or is it required to trim first and then add titles? Also, once a title is inserted, is there a way to remove or edit the text of the title?

Hi there,My issue is not with the exporting process itself but more so with the fact that upon exporting my video the file/clip says that my timeline / what I created is an 8 minute video when on my timeline the only media I have on it are 47 seconds worth.Now I did originally input up to 8 mins of media on my timeline but quickly processed through it and slimmed down to the needed 47 seconds and then applied all my effects etc. I did not imagine that these 7+ minutes of media I deleted & closed the gap on would still somehow linger in the timeline invisibly. So from my perspective even though my timeline is slimmed back to 47 seconds the original 8 minutes worth of media I had put on it to begin with seems to stick with it upon exporting. Once you play it after exporting it my video plays great for 47 seconds and then for about 7 minutes its just black.My question is how to do I somehow trim 7+ minutes of invisible timeline off my video so that the needed 47 seconds are all my mov

I bought my son a polaroid cube for Christmas a year ago, and for a year it has largely remained unused because of issues with the sound.  There is no sound on the videos when we open the origin file on the PC.  The only way we can get sound to work is to open the file in Windows Movie Maker, save as a new file, and then it will work and the video will play with sound.A few months ago my son got Premiere Elements and I was hoping Premiere elements would be able to handle/process these files.  It does not.  We get the error:  "The importer reported a generic error" and it can't open up a file directly from the Polariod Cube at all.  The work around I've found is to open the file in Windows Movie Maker, save it as a new file, and open this new file in Premiere Elements.  However, my son is 10 and he doesn't want to bother with this extra step, so he continues to ignore the cube and not use it.  Does anyone know of any type of update I might be able

I receive the same error message each time I try to download and insert music in a video. The download (approx. 9MB) starts and then "The download failed. Either the server is currently unavailable or your computer is disconnected from the internet. Check your connection and try again."Well, its not the internet connection. Help pls.

I am trying to install the trial of the Windows version of Premiere Elements 15. I am running a Windows 10 Pro VM in Parallels on my Mac. I download the install file and double-click it. The progress bar fills up and then it says "Insufficient disk space. Please check minimum requirements and free up disk space to try again."My WIndows 10 VM has 74 GB free, and the host Mac has 61 GB free.I would really like to be able to install this software to try it out. Any ideas on how to fix this?Thanks,Mike

I know I am running a really old version and it isn't cloud based, but it still works on my Windows 7 system.I built a new system and loaded Windows 10.  I installed premier elements 9 and it did install and seems to function, except for the crucial part of loading media to work on.  Any other crazy cheap folks out there doing this?  If so let me know if it is possible to load media to edit.Thanks[Here is the list of all Adobe forums... https://forums.adobe.com/welcome][Moved from Premiere Pro to Premiere Elements... I have been using PE12 [in Expert View] to successfully edit video for several years.Now I want to add a grid to help align a cropped image on the upper video track with the lower video track in the image below:Web searches usually suggest Edit / Preferences / Grid etc but this option is not available. Can anyone help,Doug

Just bought Premiere Elements 2018.  Edited two minute video with no difficulty.  Audio and video are fine.  But I can't render, and when I try to export, only the audio is exported even though the program notifies me that the full export have been saved.  Please, help!
