Good morning,Given the numerous problems of various types encountered lately with Premiere Pro, I was advised to update my CPU.I generally use Adobe Premiere, Photoshop and Illustrator. With the premiere in Full HD, 4K and occasionally with 6K.I would like a processor that allows me a good workflow on the timeline, both in playback and applying effects, obviously setting depth of Bit etc. at most.My indecision is between an Intal i7 8700, an i7 7700k and a Ryzen 7 2700x.My current processor is an Intel Core i7 930 2.80MHz.Thank you.

**Please see System Specs section at the endI've been having a lot of issues regarding timeline playback, moving files in the sequence and minor renders (not exports)..Weirdly I am getting significantly better performance on Machine 2 then I am on Machine 1 even though the specs should outway the other by a long shot.I mainly shoot basic videos, add transitions and on some occasions move over to AE and edit Typography, Visual Graphics and Special Effects etc. (more very heavy duty timelines). On this occasion I haven't even been able to finish cutting my sequence.I have been working with Sony A7SII footage, 4K(UHD) 25fps 100Mbs, Flat Picture Profiles, MP4 format - 50GB worth of footage total.When importing the footage into PP after syncing in PluralEyes, playback is very slow, jittery or freezes while audio continues to play.Pause Res is set to 1/2 - Playback Res set to 1/4 - HQ Playback set to OFF - Size set to FITSequence Settings (tried various) currently DNxHR UHD, also tried DSLR

Hello. I need to edit videos with Premiere Pro, edit with Photoshop, use Character Animator and more. I don't understand a lot from computers so i would be really thankfull if someone can tell me what is needed to be good in a computer so it is fast when using these programs, so i can work on a good machine and export and render videos fast. What must be good in a computer and what are the reccomendations? Like fast processor, good graphic or video card, ect.Thank you all for your time.

Hi guys, I´m going to buy this month a new laptop, I think it´s going to be this one.Now my question: Will it run Photoshop CC and InDesign? Basically, I am not going touse the programs in a very "hardcore-style", just some basic picture editing and maybe someflyer designing. Not the biggest work.I´m thankful for every answer!BW

So i am only posting here in the AE section because I believe this app is a little more hungry than the others...I know RAM might be the single most important factor but if the rest of the system is balanced i would assume the other Adobe app would run well.My rig is about 4 years old with:Asus X-99-E board.i7-596064 gb RAM.GTX-Titan X GPU. M.2 SSD for primary1TB SSD for caching1TB SSD for rendering16TB Areca in Raid 5 for project files (this is a TBolt connection)I was wondering where I can get some gains on this system.  I thought maybe swapping the CPU for the E5 Xeon (comparison below) but there are pros and cons spec-wise.  Maybe removing that Titan since it seems like it not pulling its money's worth...what would you do?  I use PS/AI/ID/PR/LR/AE/AU/SG/BR for apps

I'm currently doing my research for a new PC build by the endof this year or start next year. I'd like to see what specs users of Premiere and after effects use in their builds, which can endure heavy projectsanimation, rendering, 4k vids, and typically speaking a PC which can handle a load full of task. My budget would be $5000 USD. Please reply to me if you already have a system which does the work on a daily basis and you are an industry professional, not what you would build if you were to build a new system worth 5k. Hi there,I see that a few folks are using eGPUs on their Macs with PP2018, but as much as I could find on the web, PP is not really improving much in performance, more like the opposite.Is it worth adding the eGPU? Hi everyone,So few months ago I was asking about one laptop and I never bought it. Now I wanted to buy new Razer 2018, but then we decided to buy new flat, so at the moment Im out of options to go for something $2000+ and Im searching for something budget just for few months, since my old macbook is right about to die. Im editing on it with 1 core working @ 1.2 ghz, no use of geeforce 650M at all (macbook is broken, no battery recognized and so on..).Im in search for something between $500-$800 (or I can say 500-800€). I have no idea what to looking for in that price range, thats why Im asking here for some advices.My videos are all recorded and edited in 1080p, if there is some 4k video, Im always downscale it to 1080p.Cheers,Denis

Hey guys!I am in a bit of a conundrum. Or my friend is, I should say.My friend bought an Acer Predator Helios 500 laptop which he will primarily use with Premiere Pro. However we both ahve had multiple problems with the program, first being that it STILL crashes while going from and to full screen. the video in the preview window is extremely choopy and the sound cuts out a little bit (but the last one isn't that big of a problem).At first we had problems with the renderer being greyed.We then applied the solution found in these forums by going to Regedit and changing the value in the Vendors tab. But there was a slight difference there - we didn't have an Intel option available so we just put the value of 1 next to the AMD one. Maybe that was the problem? But it definitely helped. What to do? I'm sure the GPU is strong enough to handle PP. Thank you for your help!

Hello,I'm new to all the Premiere Pro and video editing stuff.I thought that I own a pretty performat machineAcer Notebooki7-7700 HQ 2,8 GHz16 gig RamNVIDIA 1060 GTX with 6 GByte of dedicated Video RAMTwo SSDand the machine isn't able to decode 4k 30 p Video in reduced (1/8) resolution in realtime.Export of 10 min 1080p content took 14hrs.I have checked that CUDA is active in the Premiere Pro settings & Media endoder settings. Got no idea what the bottleneck could be. Maybe someone out there can help me.ThxBjörn

I get bogged down trying to get a specific build listed for comment. I've seen how much difference small changes can make in the advantages and disadvantages of various component combinations. So let me start with the bigger picture.I'm willing to spend reasonable $s for what may be my last serious build. I'm now mostly retired, but have a lot of retirement projects of my own to do. So think Puget $6,000ish, but I like to build my own. I don't want to spend money unnecessarily, so willing to still look at i7s for example. But I'd like to build in some future-proofing, and I run a lot of different programs. Not really an over-clocker, but you never know...For example, i9 7940X, X299 (Gigabyte Designare vs Asus what? vs ?), 64GB DDR4 2666, SSD system drive (Samsung 860), 2X SSD M.2 (Samsung 970 Pro 1TB), GTX 1080ti (EVGA vs what? vs 1070 vs?).Or i7 7820X with same other components.Next tier of considerations: Case (roomy, quiet), Power supply (calculate size), CPU Cooling type.Thanks, St

HelloI'm after some help in identifying if my current computer setup is going to be okay to run Premier Pro CC (October 2018 (13.0) release).The published system requirements list an Intel 6th Gen or newer CPU.  I have a Intel Xeon E5-2697v3 processor.  Will this be okay?For the video card I have the MSI GeForce GTX 1080 AERO 8G OC.  I think the requirements now list the 1080 Ti and not the 1080.  Will my installed 1080 cause any problems?All other specification inside the current machine I'm happy with.  It's the processor and video card I'm not 100% on. Hello,I'm currently buying new laptop and as you can guess by the title, I'd like to ask some advice regarding CPU/GPU combination. I've narrowed my choices down to two:1) i7-8750H + GeForce GTX 1050 Ti2) i7-7700HQ + GeForce GTX 1060My first instinct was telling me to go for better CPU for video editing, but then I stumbled upon similar thred that suggests that CPU/GPU balance is important and bad balance can even be counter-productive. Should I then go for (2) to have better balance?Note: There's also the same model with i7-8750H + GeForce GTX 1060, but it's quite expensive. How would this combo do? Should I bite the bullet and expand my bugget? Note that I'm beginner, not a professional or semi-professional by any stretch. One of the reasons I'm buying new laptop is so that I can actually run the software at all, my current machine struggles even with Photoshop.Thank you
