-Premiere Pro 2022.04-have Intel Core i7-1165G7 (11th Gen) 16GB Ram, 475 Gb, SSD, Laptop with 2GB external graphic cardSome of you will say "why don't I get a more powerful processor/system"I'd say "why don't you get your act together and code it good enough to work properly, requiring less resources compared to DaVinci stabilizer or Prodad Stabilizer"Premiere Pro has extremely slow Warp Stabilizer ( do not even work at all in some clips longer than few seconds) compared to DaVinci or stand-alone ProDad stabilizer (add-on Prodad no longer works in the recent versions of Premiere PRO - no thanks to you) in my laptop C'mon ADOBE guys & girls:stop making excuses, stop adding so called "new" features they are in fact beta featuresbefore fixing what you already have not working properly AND PLEASE stop bragging about what a great software you have, you do not and please START naming all the releases as BETA as your customers
[Moderator moved from the Lounge to Video Lounge.] Good day to you. I had a general question about Adobe products and wasn't entirely sure where I could post it so I chose this group as one possibility and I hope somebody can help. I've been shooting a video of my mother making bead jewellery for Youtube and I was wondering what the best Adobe application would be. I'm only using an outdated piece of software and find it limiting. The kinds of things I want to do are obviously editing the video in general. But also adding some sort of transition effects and also having a section of the video speed up plus adding music to this section. Hopefully somebody can help. Regards Nick
Some Video Editor Job advertisement are like this "Video Editor and Content Creator Wanted". What is meant by Content Creator? what is his/her job?
trying to export an xml file from premiere to import to resolve. 12 shots wouldn't connect. guess why? seems like it can't import mp4 files from a lumix camera. premiere has no issues with it. tried to just import one of the files directly into resolve... just imported the audio... updating to the latest version of resolve 17 right now to see if that makes a difference...(it doesn't). I can work around this problem by exporting just the files used in the sequence to a better format. Another shortcoming of resolve is that it can't export prores quicktimes (at least I don't think it can) which can have a big impact on cross platform projects... Just saying that resolve doesn't measure up in many ways to Premiere. I do much prefer resolves color correction interface and that's why I've gone down the rabbit hole today wasting a few hours so far figuring out what's going on.
I watch videos in Udemy to learn Premiere Pro. I usually take screenshot of important tips from there. Screenshot is not possible in some videos. Is there anyway to protected video from taking a screenshot?
Just want to tell you, Adobe, that the Essential Sound is an absolute useless joke. All these clowns making audio and checking every single box and you can never find anything. I've gone back to using another service. For instance, these are my results under Dramatic and Slow. I'm making video from Mariupul and I can't find a single thing to fit using the filters. I don't know why you even bothered programming this functionality into Premiere when you could have spent the time better fixing your stupid verification system (which, by the way, is garbage.
I got this product, and am paying absolutely way too much to have this app not work correctly. All I'm trying to do is make my videos in compliance with Youtube's stupid compression system. Not only can I not export the videos as anything, but it will work for the first 5% of the process, and then either freeze the whole application, or will just do nothing past that 5%. It's stupid that this "top of the line" editing software is actually the worst editing software I've ever used, and I used to use iMovie. To be fair though, I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, I'm just too frustrated to troubleshoot. So here I am. I just want to have a presentable upload for my youtube channel. Is that too much to ask for, Adobe? I guess so. (I had to censor out all of my cuss words, and pure unfiltered anger toward this terrible program. Despicable.) Mod note: title changed to reflect your problem.
Why does an insanely financially viable company like Adobe neglect their user forums and the problems associated with rushing products to market before even the most basic and adequate beta testing has been performed?
Subtitle workflow is terrible on Premiere for decades. Now you added some useless features again. The new export bar under the main menu....... What for? For new people who don't know use Ctrl+M? YOUR R WASTING MY SCREEN SPACE! Premiere even doesn't have a full-screen editing mode like Photoshop. WHY Don't you move this bar to the right side of the main menu?????? Or give an option to hide it? WHY do you want to waste things? Eco friendly please!
I HATE THIS THING IT WONT UPLOAD ANYTHING AND ITS SLOW AND I RATHER USE I MOVIE OR CAPCUT.
I will be traveling to 3 countries. India, Thailand, and Philipines to work. My laptop cost more than what Asurion can cover. I am a member of PPA which covers all of my camera stuff but I have not found a sentence that refers to a laptop as a part of that equipment. Has anyone here had any experience with PPA insurance or know of a policy that would cover my laptop?
How awesome we give back to a software company that charges us $600 / year while pushing out ever more flawed and buggy programs like Premiere's latest, leaving us poor saps to hope to solve things here in your community mid-project, things as fundamentally as a keyboard just straight up NOT working. Heart attack guy is right! One can only assume there are internal deadlines at Adobe to push out new (and ever more flawed) releases of the app every year in an arbitrary attempt to justify this insane subscription idea that has taken over the industry, plunging creatives into digital serfdom. For apps with no reliable support and unknown random bugs. How could anyone who works at Adobe tech support be expected to keep up, though, when the releases are constantly changing and creating new bugs? Why bother, just push those errors onto us suckers, the ones who pay you for your app and get punished for it. This app has for so long had a lock on the in
<branched from another discussion> I am having serious problems as well. Keep in mind I am very good at tweaking out Premiere Pro. That being said Premiere Pro has some serious issues. Let the programmers know that with high quality playback enabled it does not matter if you select full resolution or 1/4 resolution the CPU utilization will be the same (BRAW and Pro Res). I had hoped to post a video by now but I am super busy. Maybe I will have it ready by Tuesday.
"For most things, ignore it.", how do I ignore it? All of a sudden it is there and I have to choose one of the three options. Which one is standard? Or do I check the box next to it that says "Match this property to the source video"?
It is a new very powerfull 3D software, it is free and booming with great features to render and simulate scenes, in collaboration with other 3d artists! Check out these great tutorials, they are made by very talented and successful specialist Chris from Outdoor Living3D: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UClyCoHrO79iIY3tnz2f6yzA/videos
For all those interested in starting or even already working in HDR, here's a roundtable discussion from Dolby Labs on working with DolbyVision. Nearly the whole discussion is usable in any HDR, though there are parts specific to DolbyVision. Hosted by Dolby, with colorists Robbie Carman, Joey D'Anna, Patrick Inhofer, and Dan Moran. An interesting discussion. Some takeaways ... while for broadcast you'd still want the full reference monitor, there are options out there for reasonable cost to both "test the waters" and even do the main part of a job ... if you've got a bit of time booked in a room with a proper reference monitor for final checkout; it isn't so much about being brighter as it is simply having a bigger crayon box. Far more color to work with, from the deepest shadows way into the highlights; and it just makes it all more fun! Along with many other worthwhile comments. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NnZY6ghWELU&t=4185s
This is without a doubt, the absolute most buggy program I've ever used on any operating system. Windows Vista was a gem compared to Adobe Premiere. They should literally be ashamed of themselves for charging money for something that doesn't even work. Mod note: This off-topic post is a branched post from a FAQ posted in the Premiere Pro forum. Thanks.
Foundations of Video - The Art of Editing Free LinkedIn Learning course taught by the former chair of the USC Film Department, Norm Hollyn - a feature film editor and all-around cool guy. Unfortunately, he passed away unexpectedly a few years ago. This tutorial is linked to via the Premiere Pro Learning workspace.
Hello this is a general question, not premiere relatedI am fllowing a master for filmscoring, and they say that to do music for film you need to sync to the film , or scene, bpmSo the theoty undelying is that edito always use a music to make theyr edit, even if they are not going to use music in that sceneI can immagine this for scene where music is supposed to be there, but is it really this the workflow for scenes/sequences when no music is supposed to be?so every cut is always at music time? For me is not even that nice to have the music in sync with cuts all the time...wait to know from who is well aknoledged on thisthank you
Windows 10 64bit up to dateI' m getting kind of desparate on this and am rolling the dice that a video developer somewhere has experience with this drive .I have an older Lacie 5Big network drive, the one that has the ethernet port among others. I bought it used three years ago, we hooked it up and it has been running great. It has worked fine and all of a sudden, it has disappeared from the network. It does not show on the Lacie Desktop app either. And of course, I have a lot of backups on it.The blue light in front is lit and the blue lights on the drives are lit.My network credentials are pitiful, but my son-in-law is a network IT guy and it has him stumped.Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks to those who know more than me,Joe
After reading all of these posts, and having had the same issue, which now I can solve, and re-create as will by simply separating the project files from the media drive, I have an faily good idea about the cause. There is a flaw in the software design regarding how it interleaves the audio with the video files. It gives a log of priority to running the video without interruption. This causes an audio buffer underrun. This is why it will play audio longer before dropping out after you increace the buffer size. Still, there is no buffer large enough to hold all of hte audio your timelines need to play. Yes, this is bug in the program. It's actually more than a bug, it's a design flaw. There is too much code running between the time Premiere serves a frame of video, and it finds the audio for that frame. They way they designed the program to maintain sync, requires it to drop the audio lest it run behind the video. This can be fixed, but it will require Adobe's software eng
I am going to eventually introduce you to a video online on how to use that color thing with resolve, and I pray you will ignore that fact that it is for resolve and just listen to the basics about what is going on re: color and tonality ( levels, wb, exposure, etc.... and basic colors , meaning primary and secondary and what rec 709 gives you ). The only reason I don't have adobe beyond cs6 is because I refuse to let someone into my pocket ( I grew up in nyc and had a lot of locks on my doors and windows... and letting someone into my bank account was a non starter with adobe ). But I understand a ton of people have a great program ( adobe ) with very affordable monthly fee, so again, please ignore the link describes resolve workflow and try to get the basic information and apply that to your particular problem. first of all, I have that card and it's very shiny on the surface. It MUST be used in a way where there is NO reflection of light on that shiny surface...
As far as I can see they don't monitor this forum at all. If you're needing video editing for non-commerical reasons, then I'd suggest Da Vinci Resolve. They have a free version (honestly!) and it's pretty near a fully fledged, professional video editing package. Steep learning curve compared to the simplicity of Premiere Rush, but it can do so much more.
I've been using Adobe for damn near 10 years but THIS has got to be my worst experience. I'm 98% done with my project and now it's constantly crashing. I have done EVERYTHING to try and fix it including clearing cache and reinstalling. I have more than enough ram and space on my laptop and still the crashes persist. I'm paying over 60 a month to stare at a screen that won't load. I want my money back. I want it back.
