I have Windows 10 computer and I had Adobe Acrobat DC reader, where I used the read out loud feature a lot. It worked for a long while until all of a sudden one day it stopped working. I can activate the read out loud and then click to play it and it acts as if it is going to work, but I don't hear anything. I have tried everything I know. I have uninstalled the program and reinstalled it, I have even installed an older version to see if that is the problem and nothing is working. Is there an update that has happened to either the adobe or my computer that would cause the read out loud feature to stop or what could be the issue, please help!
So if I try to open Acrobat Reader, nothing happens. The process is active in Task Manager, but nothing appears on screen at any point at all. I tried "repair" function in Control panel. I also tried updated to newest version of windows (there was just a small optional upload anyway). I also tried reinstalling the program. I always open it as administrator.
My Adobe Acrobat DC closes immediatley upon launch. This seems to be a common problem ut I cant find a solution. My IT team has reinstalled the application from my computer twice. Repaired the installaton, I accepted the user agreement ... We have tried everything a quick search prescribes as a solution and we have had no luck fixing the issue. Any ideas of hat might be going on ? The problem started when Adobe struggled to open an older PDF I had saved in my email. The PDF was a document type that you fill in and sign.
I spent some time downloading and testing the Adobe Reader MUI - x64 edition. There are several problems with it:You cannot run anything but an unattended/silent installation, as the installer has a bug which prevents file extraction. Running a silent install works. [2022-09-09 10:05:03] Extracting files from Archive: C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Temp\7182\installer.bin[2022-09-09 10:05:03] Extract Files ERROR_MEM[2022-09-09 10:05:03] GetLastError(): 183 - Cannot create a file when that file already exists.[2022-09-09 10:05:03] ** Setting Error Condition: 150201 If you manage to install it, it's not actually installing a MUI version, it's English only, even though the EXE and embedded MSP are both branded as MUI packages. Has anyone at Adobe even tested this? I'll have to stay with the x86 version for now. I can work around the extraction bug, but the MUI package not having the MUI is ... just strange. It's clear nobody has even tried this and that
Before I download and install the Reader I want to make sure I will be able to fill out a fillable form in non-English characters. I couldn't find a duplicate question in the forum.
Hello, several computers always download the latest update, which has been faulty for months, despite having adjusted the registry keys. Every update since 21007 has the same error and makes the software unusable. If a computer has one of these Acrobat Reader versions installed and you try to open a PDF, you can observe in the Task Manager how the above-mentioned process devours all the RAM of the computer until it finally crashes. In addition the CPU usage is extremely high. The only solution is to install an old version of Acrobat Reader. Unfortunately, this is only a very temporary remedy, as it is almost impossible to deactivate automatic updates. Will there be a patch in the near future to fix this problem? What exactly does the RdrCEF process do? Are there any settings in the software that influence it? And yes, I already contacted the Adobe Support and got the following answer: "[...]Unfortunately, I have to inform you that I cannot help you any further. Please
I have an Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-4170 CPU @ 3.70GHz 3.70 GH with Win 10 Home - OC Build 19044.1889 and Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Version 2022.002.20191. Microsoft Office 2013. My Windows is fully updated. Some of my PDF's do not open: Error: To view the full contents of this document, you need a later version of the PDF viewer. You can upgrade to the latest version of Adobe Reader from www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.htmlFor further support, go to www.adobe.com/support/products/acrreader.htmlThere is no update - I am on the latest version. I have de-installed and re-installed. I found a work around by running Adobe Acrobat Reader in Compatibility mode for Win 8 . . . why does it need compatibility mode? I sometimes have to first copy the problem PDF's to my desktop and try "pre-view" and "open with" before it works and it takes a long time to open. I have noticed this pdf is sent with a Google Chrome icon, but
Hello everyone, At one of our costomers. There is a singleworkstation that has been acting up. When printing a PDF out of Acrobat Reader the words seem to be printed backwards or blurred out when printing dubble sided. The first page is fine. but when turned around (the backside) its seems unreadible. This does not happend when printing PDFs though Google Chrome or MS Edge. likewise with Word. I have updated the Computer en repared adobe. The printer is a HP M570dn and the workstation is a HP ProDesk 400 G2 MT (Windows10). (Bellow you can see a Print with the text being inverted and upside down.)has anyone else incountered a problem like this before ? any advies is greatly appreciated, Trigoli
Hi there, I understand this is the support community not Adobe directly but it has been very difficult for me to find anyone to speak to, so please forgive me coming on here! I signed up to edit a pdf using the free trial. I wasn't aware the free trial would then automatically charge my account, but I found out my costly error only after 2 months. I'm currently down to my last two cents (no exeggeration so it is quite a lot of money for me to lose). Is there a possibility Adobe could refund that money? Literally not even used the program enough to justify keeping it in my current financial situation. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated and thank you for your time in advance.
How can I delete a highlighted text in PDF a few days ago? When I change the color and the thickness of the highlighted text, I can not find the delete key by right mouse button.
We need to be able to open files from SharePoint 365 in Acrobat DC. I had it working so it would open in Adobe in browser (document cloud) and clicking on Open in the Desktop App button would open it in Acrobat. Though not preferred, it would be acceptable. It worked for a day, now we are getting "There was an error opening this document. The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect." when Acrobat opens. Any ideas on how do I get this working? Thanks,PJ
Hallo liebe Community.Mein Upgrade Download bleibt bei 90% stehen und es geht nie weiter. Wie kann ich das Problem lösen?
I had a few frustrating attempts at installing reader bythe normal way (download the small installer). A few times it froze on the 90% mark. I tried running it as administrator, and got a checkmark to let me know it was finished. But then clicking on the icon (or running from command line) did not produce anything. Some of the other programs worked - e.g. accept the license. But I found this link:https://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/It downloads the whole program and then installs it. And it works. 🙂 🙂 🙂
When trying to open some .pdf files I get the error ".PDF viewer required to view this document" I have updated version of .pdf reader.
Hello, when I want to open a password protected pdf, the password input window always opens in the background. Where can I set that the password input window opens in the foreground? So I don't need to search for it.
Good Morning, I have about 1400 workstations (out of 14k) that are curently out of compliance and running older versions of Acrobat Reader. Does Adobe Acrobat Reader auto update without launching the reader or do you have to run reader first for the updates to be applied. I have also seen that the Updater in the Task Scheduler is set but have never run. What causes this? Might have more questions once these are answered. I am using SCCM / MECM also.

How do I change my settings that when I receive an adobe document I do not have to download it first.
I keep getting error message whenever I want to open PDF file from a Read-Only (undeletable) partition of a USB Flash Drive. However, I can open the PDF when its copied normally to the USB Drive or CD partition. Somehow the PDF reader can not open the PDF files when its made in a read only partition. Does it make sense? I hope you know how to fix this?
Suddenly when I try to use Acrobat reader (on my desktop Mac), a pop-up window requires me to sign into a Microsoft account. I never had, used a MS account on my Mac, but I do have a Microsoft account on a different Win10 PC. When I try to sign in with my current Microsoft account, I get an error message and I can't go any further. However, I can't close out the error message. I have to Force Quit Acrobat. So now I can't open PDFs. If I attempt to re-launch the application by double-clickin on a PDF file, the app launches but then goes unresponsive. How can I fix this.
I need to use 32 bit Reader to launch PDF function in some software, I also need to install my 64 bit Pro DC to edit PDFs. When I install Pro DC, it will automatically upgrade 32 bit into 64 bit. And I can't install the 32bit after it's upgraded to 64 bit. it says you've already installed the software. Is there a solution for this?
Unable to complete 'tool component' download for editing text in a document. The download is ok up to 90% then freezes and won't complete the download..
