Since the latest update some of our end users are complaining that .pdf is being assigned to Chrome.

Hello, I plan to deploy Reader x64 in company I support, I created MECM/SCCM application package and successfully deployed it to test PCs. As I use third party software updates and it works nice for Reader/Acrobat x86 I expected some updates will show up in the system, either as installed or required. However after a time there is nothing... It is like when criteria for neither status is met (installed or required), thus MECM/SCCM does not show anything and I cannot patch those PCs. I can see Reader/Acrobat x64 updates synchronizes in MECM/SCCM correctly. I am wondering if it has something with this post https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-reader-discussions/reader-x64-identifies-as-quot-adobe-acrobat-dc-64-bit-quot/m-p/12041912 as I experience the same, but I do not think so as no updates also for Acrobat x64 appear in MECM/SCCM. Thanks for help! 

Hello Community,we have changed Adobe Acrobat Reader DC to 64bit some time ago. We noticed that after the distribution no preview in Windows Explorer is possible anymore. There was an official article from Adobe, unfortunately I can't find it again.The version number where the preview did not work is 2200120039 and the version where it works is 2200120085.I have manually uninstalled version 2200120039 and then installed version 2200120085 with a silent script. After that the preview worked.But if I leave the version 2200120039 installed and run the script as a patch, then the preview does not work.Where exactly is the error? is it an addon that is installed and not updated or registered during the update? Hello together,I've rolled out the new version of Adobe Reder DC2200120085.We ran into a problem with the Explorer preview window. If there is an filename with # in it we get ERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND but we can open (doubleclick) the file normaly. I attach an screenshot.Please fix this in your next release. Many thanks

When you open a document that is digitally signed checks the document, then the certificates and lastly the revocation list online before stating if it's valid or invalid. I would suggest not to check every time since one may open and normally open the same doc many times in the same day, sometimes the same hour, forcing the process once and again for each file. As we do with the passwords for buying once every 15 min, 30 min, a day is sufficient if not on request to do all that process, nothing really changes in that hour. To keep in consideration.

We are having an issue with the mail to function being added to a button.  We have the button setup to open the document in an email and populate a list of recipients in the To field.  When we test this function using Acrobat Reader DC on a PC, it behaves as intended.  However, when using the Adobe Acrobat Reader app on an iPad, we get the document to open in mail but the list of recipients in the To Field is not being populated.  Is there something different that needs done for this to work correctly usin the Adobe Acrobat Reader app for iPad?

I am looking for some insight and confirmation. Recently discovered, Adobe Reader DC 64-bit (2022.001.20085) will not interact with form checkboxes while using a screen reader current released version JAWS 32/64 bit or NVDA. I have replicated this on multiple virtual machines. I have developed test forms with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, AEM Designer 6, and LiveCycle Designer 11. Has anyone come across this? 

Just opened and checked out the "brand new" Adobe Acrobat 2022.  STILL no change.  Are they just now repackaging the same program and updating the names and versions? lol  I mean unbelievable how many have requested this now COMMON feature on all other apps and operating systems!  The level of some Tech corporations DENSEness is truly astonishing sometimes.  I can count hundreds if not thousands of requests for this basic easy to implement feature yet Adobe doesn't care.  It's just weird.   Well adobe, one good turn deserves another.  keep ignoring your customers and we will find other options.  The strange thing is Adobe actually has this feature on EVERY OTHER PLATFORM and Operating system except Windows.  🤦‍♂

I have a user who is unable to open any PDF's using Acrobat Reader X he has the latest version and is using Windows XP SP3.  When he tries to open any PDF he gets the error "Acrobat failed to connect toDDE Server" any help with this is much appreciated!Thanks,Chris

i have a Samsung Galaxy Go windows 11 laptop and i have installed Adobe Acrobat DC reader from the Adobe website. A Desktop shortcut is created but when i go to open a PDF with Acrobat DC reader i get a spinning mouse and the adobe icon appears on taskbar. Application shows as running in Taskmanager. but no UI appearsi have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times. i have attempted a SFC /scannow in Command prompt. i have attempted to repair the application though modification in control pannel.  Any other advise?

I just got off the phone with Adobe after 90 mins of remote tech efforts, to no avail, so they sent me here. Starting about 6mths ago, after years of use, my PDF files now freeze after opening. This occurs on all PDF files, and happens when I open PDF's from the file folder location, or whether I open them through Adobe. I am using Acrobat Reader DC version 21.11.20039.0 on Windows 8. Adobe tech support uninstalled and reinstalled, rebooted the computer, turned off any firewalls or virus software, updated,  and did all many of things remotely that I wouldn't have the faintest idea how to recollect. I just tried a prior forum suggestion of going through the regedit files and creating new cServices keys,,,,no change. I am hoping someone here can give me some guidance please. Just saved this file using Illustrator 26.0.3., but can't open it anymore...  I get this error: "Acrobat pdf file format is having difficulties. expected a dict object"It's bigger than 47MB and can't share a URL unfortunately. Can it still be saved? Thank you

Hi everybody, I try the functions of Adobe Reader DC 2021(installed on Windows Server 2012 64bit) and I see in the home view a "getting started card" with the information to use the Adobe Acrobat DC. This is a little problem for my company, because not everybody in our company should see this information. Is it possible to deaktivate only this information/frame? Thanks a lot.Ralf

I was sent a pdf and opened it. It has lines on it instead of words. I'm still waiting for the sender to resend me the document. I've tried different pdf readers and they all came up with the lines instead of words. How do I fix this? And I am wondering did the sender write this or is this a reader error.

Is it possible to adjust a setting in Adobe DC to not send the unsigned document to the cced recipients when using Fill and Sign.  I only want to send them the signed version but to save a step in the accounting process I wanted to include them when I send the unsigned document out for authorization.

I have Windows 10 64-bit. I had to unstall,because it does not work anymore. The repair did not work.When I use the download to install again, it stopped installing at 90%.I need very badly the Adobe Reader because I use it to read a very important book and stopped me from working. It seems all the fault of Microsoft with its updates which destroys software and printers working

Dear All,I have created a form on Acrobat Reader and add an Excel attachment in it.When i click the attachment it directly opens Excel Spreadsheet. Then after clicking "Enable Editing" button on the Excel menu, i'm able to edit and save the document.However, whenever i share the pdf file with another user, he/she is able to open the pdf but they are able to open the Excel file as Read-Only mode only and they can't make any changes on it.Please see the attachment as well.I have tried a few steps but it doesn't work. Need your support on this issue.Best regards,Huseyin.   

Acrobat Reader has allowed me to copy and paste text (English and Japanese) from PDF documents to other sources, but recently the Japanese text does not paste properly. Characters are missing in the middle of sentences, while it works fine for the English text. When I open the PDF with the "Preview" app, and use the older version of Adobe on an older Mac, it works fine. No changes were made to the settings (including copying permissions on the document). I tried reinstalling, working with a text user account, restarting my Mac with Safe Mode, and contacted Adobe support and Apple support, but have not been successful in resolving this. It would be appreciated if anyone has any suggestions. - Product: Adobe Acrobat Reader DC ver. 2021.011.20039- OS: Mac OS 12.2.1 

Hi, When I print from Adobe Acrobat Pro DC in macOS Monterery, adobe ignores the default print. The default in Mac OS is a HP printer. Adboe tries to print to the non Default a Canon. Note that all other applictions including Photoshop and Lightroom, the degault HP printer is used. Thanks

I am running Adobe Reader DC 64-bit Continuous Release Version 2021.011.20039 on Windows 10. When I try to send a PDF to printer by selecting File-->Print (or any other method), Acrobat Reader closes immediately. No print dialog box appears. I have done the following to no avail:1- Launched Reader as an administrator and tried printing. 2- Tried printing as image, but crashes before this is an option.3- Disabled protected mode by going into Edit > Preferences > Security (Enhanced)   Unchecking Enable Protected Mode at startup > click OK > relaunch Reader and try again. Please help! Rich
