Question

Desktop Acrobat Pro DC on Mac with Yosemite suddenly stops allowing editing and wants to be reauthorized.

I have had an installed desktop copy of Acrobat Pro DC working perfectly on my Mac for several months.

Suddenly today, it has locked all the features and insists that my copy is not authorized.  It sends me through the authorization script, but when it asks for my serial number credential, it returns an error saying that the serial number is not correct.

Please advise.

Hi ,

Where did you purchase Acrobat from?

I hope you purchased it from a legitimate source.

What OS do you work on?

You could once refer the following link to verify the serial number of the product you purchased.

Find your Adobe product serial number quickly

Oh yes, this is legitimate purchased software. I received a card with a redemption code and have had it authorized and registered for several months.  The OS is 10.10.5.

But here's the miraculous thing.  I posted that inquiry after a long chat with support who eventually threw up their hands and suggested this forum.

This morning, after a night's rest, I returned to this dilemma only to discover it had resolved itself.  I did nothing in the interim, other than close Acrobat DC and reopen it.  Which I had done several times yesterday with no result.

So, I dunno what to tell you.  It seems glitchy to me to have this pop up suddenly and then just as suddenly disappear.  I guess I'll wait to see if it happens again.  If it does I'll return to this thread.
