Question

I have Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro and am unable to have program recognize my email client MailBird. It defaults always to Outlook. How can I change this.

Regardless of what settings I change, it always defaults to Outlook.  When distributing my forms it terminates all distribution because It can't find Outlook.  Mail Bird is set as default yet it still looks for Outlook

You can submit to a server-side script which sends using SMTP and bypasses client side email software.

Check Acrobat's help. Your email client and server needs to support MAPI protocol to work with Acrobat. You may need to edit Window's Registry to change the connected email service client program.

Hi garyb53588325,

Acrobat 9 is no more supported by Adobe, so it won't be possible to replicate this issue.

However please let me know the exact dot version of Acrobat 9 & OS installed on your computer?

You can add other email clients however it won't be possible to default it.

Regards,
Aadesh

Hi garyb53588325,

Sorry to inform you but only Outlook is compatible as default email client in Acrobat.
