Let me explain the best I can. I use the Acrobat Reader DC on a PC system at work. When I went to open my PDF forms (I created) I got this window saying something like this "processing 5 pages...please wait". I didn't think anything of the window thinking it was just updating the Reader. But, I soon found out my document and embedded javascripts were altered. Meaning, some of the fields wouldn't let me enter text, or some of the drop downs wouldn't allow me to enter items and item prices. Also, every drop down would drop down, then close, then drop down when clicked and the drop down list is twice as long, the drop downs list shows approx 20 to 30 items. In the past, I mean like just yesterday, everything worked fine. I don't like what happened to the Reader and it interferes with my day at work. Does this sounds familiar. Has anyone encountered this or can someone tell me how to fix this problem so I can get my documents back to normal?Can someone shed some light on if Adobe does upda

I have been working on a form in LiveCycle recently, and had a request to add a button a user can click, that will bring up another form that is attached to it.I used to do this with ease in Acrobat Pro, by adding an attachment, and then creating a button that will open that attachment, however I am a bit stumped as to how to do this in LiveCycle, and since my form was created in LiveCycle, I can no longer edit it or add this functionality in Acrobat Pro.Just to reiterate / clarify, here is what I am trying to do:- Embed another document into my LiveCycle Form (i.e. - Combine them, though the second document isn't visible until you click a button.)  - Add a button into my LiveCycle Form which when clicked, will open the second formThanks in Advance

I have a form that will be submitted via email.I have a number of Required Fields on the form that are validated automatically prior to submission, but there is one section that's a bit tricky and may require some JavaScript that I haven't been able to work out despite searching these forums.There are 3 checkboxes on my form that work a bit like radio buttons, but not.Checkboxes "A" and "B" can be selected independently or together, but checkbox "C" can only be selected on it's own.I have a JavaScript to automatically de-select both "A" and "B" if checkbox "C" is selected.I have another JavaScript that automatically de-selects "C" if either "A" or "B" (or both) are selected.This requirement prevents me from making any of these checkboxes "Required Fields"But I need to verify that at least one of the three boxes is selected before the form can be submitted.Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thanks, Steve

I am using Acrobat Pro DC 2015 Classic in a Windows 7 environment. I have made an honest effort to figure out how to do this and referred to the API and several articles, but I guess that am missing too much basic education. My organization uses a script to change redaction overlay scripts for example from "V1" to "V01". I want to be able to run the script from an action instead of from a button. I thought what I needed to do was to replace the "app.addToolButton" to the end with a simple call like RedactionCodeToV01(); but that doesn't seem to work (undefined).I can't figure out how to change the script to run it independent of the button. I've tried to run other options in the console without success (picture "a thousand monkeys typing"). I wanted to know if it was possible, using the OCR capabilities of Acrobat, to copy hand written text from a PDF and paste it into a text document. All of my attempts have ended up with something like "l CJ C, (e yu,," when the name being copied is Luciene. If this is not possible through Acrobat, would you be able to recommend some software that has either OCR or ICR capable of doing this?Thank you for reading.

Hello!I am trying to create a form that saves to a specific path depending on the option you select for a drop-down field. So, for instance, you have a drop down field and you select 1,2,3,4 and each selection will change where the file is saved. I have a pdf form that I am creating. I have yest no questions with a check box. If checked yes I have a text box that appears. When checked no it is hidden. Is it possible to get the next question to move up the page over the hidden text box? I am trying to reduce the white space on the form. I saw a closed post that mentioned how to do it but there was not enough information for me to figure it out.  I am a beginner so I will need step by step instructions. Thanks

I am trying to create a fillable form, the way the form is created it has the fields throughout the sentences like the example below:I, "Member's Name", am the ....I have used the following script so that the person filling the form would be able to see it as soon as they open the document (rather than being a blank field with a tool tip)if (!event.value) {    event.value = "Signing Justice's Name";    event.target.display = display.noPrint;} else {    event.target.display = display.visible;}My question is how would I script in Arial with a pt size of 11 - the current sizing for the above script is wrong. Ps.Just to clarify I have set up each field as Arial 11pt so when the client fills the form it is proper, but the initial display of the field is the wrong size.

When I have values, it gives me the result in%. But when I do not have values or all are zero (0), it returns me an error. I am trying to figure out how to go about writing a custom javascript format so that the form field allows for either a number with two decimal spaces or an "X" - these fields will later be calculated into a total. If i leave the field with no formatting then I do not get he comma formatting if the user enters a number over 999, and the user can input any letters rather than just X - and I need it to be limited to numbers or an X only.If anyone has a source online that they have used that will help me write my own please let me know, otherwise any input would be much appreciated.Thanks,Kelley

Ok i have a form that has 7 columns in it. if i select something from a dropdown in coulmn 5 how do i get it to automatically put something in column 7 for me....example if i have job numer XX1255 selected in the dropdwon on column 5 and I  want it to automacially populate the name of the job "fiber optic" in column 7 ho do I do that

I am using Adobe Pro and I am trying to use a radio button to complete a calculation.  There's text field ("CourseName"), another field formatted as a number field ("Hours") and the radio button ("HourType").  The user enters the course name, and then enters how many credit hours received for the course.  The radio button performs a calculation depending on if the user selects Semester Hours (export value is SH) or Quarter Hours (export value is QH).  If the user selects "SH" then nothing changes, but if they select "QH", the "Hours" value is multiplied by 0.6667.   I'm using the following custom calculation script on the "Hours" field:var total = Number(this.getField("Hours").value);var type = this.getField("HourType").value;if (type=="QH") {   event.value = total * 0.6667;} else   event.value = total;The script works fine until I toggle back and forth. Each time I go from QH to SH and then back to QH..it performs the calculation again

Using Adobe Pro, I am trying to count days between two dates and if the total exceeds 180 days, I need an error message to pop up and require the user to adjust the dates until it is 180 days or less.  I have a StartDate, EndDate, and TotalDays. I am new to acrobat and am trying to create a few short scripts that ultimately calculates interest. Here is what I am looking to do:No matter what Date of Payment is entered is, the next box (labeled “Interest From”) will show the first day of the following month.  Example:  If 04/15/17 is entered as the Payment Date, the “Interest From” box would show May 1, 2017. So, I’d need a script to do that part.No matter what date the tenant moved out, the date in the next box (labeled “Interest To”) would show the last day of that same month.  Example:  Move Out Date is 09/10/17, then the “Interest To” box would show 09/30/17.  This would be another script.Calculate the number of months from “Interest From” to “Interest To”.  This would be a separate script also (In this example it would be 5 months).Items 1-3 would be in separate boxes (fields?Cells?) so they would be 3 separate scripts.  I want it this way so the tenant can clearly see the Date of Payment,

In Acrobat, given two dropdown lists, one with 13 items and the other with 3, the user makes a single selection in each list. The result is to display a text field based on the unique combination of these two dropdown choices. My js skills are quite limited, but I assume there is a way to do that. Any help appreciated.

I want to verify that user's entry in a field ("Line41") equals "Line40 * .02" or is blank or zero.  Customer will get a discount of 2% if paid by a certain date, otherwise entry on Line 41 will be zero (blank is acceptable).  I don't want to use a straight calculation in "Line41" because not all customers will get the discount. I'm using Adobe Acrobat DC.  I'm a novice to JavaScript with a little experience.  Your help is appreciated.

I have a form that could almost be completed on mobile as well as on the computer with the Adobe Acrobat app. Ideally, I would have liked to have a submit button with a code that picks up the email address from a pre-filled field which can vary. This works very well on the computer but not on mobile.However, the submit action works well on mobile if I just insert the URL “mailto:”, that is, without any address specified… So my work around would be to have a pop up that reminds the form filler to take note of the return address, and once they’ve hit “ok”, the message application is launched with the form attached to an email as usual. All the user would need to do is write the address he/she took note of.So I created a button that runs the pop up first, followed by the submit action. It works fine on the computer, but with mobile, the action breaks after I hit “ok” on the pop up. The submit action won’t follow. Both work well if isolated. Is there a way to solve this? I'm using an IPad

I want to learn JavaScript with Acrobat. I've been limited to the Acrobat menu tools for 3 years now and would like to expand my abilities with JavaScript. I am willing to travel to learn, but nobody is teach it that I've found. I can't figure out something as simple as inserting a time stamp into a PDF. I believe JavaScript can do it.

I installed build 2015.010.20056, but was then unable to fill out and sign forms, which I used to be able to do.
