I've exported a 1920 x 1080 DNxHD QT from Avid Media Composer. It successfully plays in QuickTime player with picture and audio. But when I bring it into Media Encoder, I can find no setting that brings up video. Like the headline says, as of this morning (Tuesday April 16 2019) Adobe Media Encoder CC 2+10 keeps crashing whenever I try to add a source file to render. This is happening whether I try to add source directly, or whether I have After Effects add to render queue. It isn't creating a log or error report when it does this. It is happening when I try to add files that I had previously rendered successfully so I know it's not the source files that are the issue. The last time I used it to render a file was Saturday, ‎April ‎13, ‎2019 and everything worked flawlessly. I'm including a screenshot of my about screen since that's all I've got to share. I just uninstalled Adobe ME and reinstalled it and the same thing is still happening.I'm using the new NVidia creators optimized drivers for my GPU, but that was also true on Saturday when everything worked correctly. I've tried turning GPU acceleration off, and on, same thing happens.FWIW Here is my system specs:Windows 10 Professional 64Adobe

Hi, I'm using Media Encoder to output XAVC 4K Intra profile Class300 (Intra CBG) MXF files.This output works well for simple videos.However, in the case of complex video, the coded frame size of the MXF file may exceed the Class300 standard.Does Media Encoder have an option to adhere to the coded frame size?The [Sony device compatibility] check had no effect. Thank you.

Media Encoder was working fine this morning. Installed Catalina this afternoon, and now Media encoder wont open. Unknown Error (screenshot included). Tried Uninstall/Reinstall. Updated all Adobe apps. Cant find any articles online, not sure what my issue is. 2017 Macbook Pro

Hi All - I'm running a late 2015 iMac with a 3.2 GHz Intel Core i5, 32GB RAM, and an AMD Radeon R9 M390 2048 MB graphics card. I was having crashing problems on Premiere and Encoder recently, and I completely wiped the hard drive, reinstalled the Operating System (current at Mojave, 10.14.2), and reinstalled Adobe Creative Cloud. I've run system diagnostics on the machine and the hardware appears to be fine.I tried to export an hour long show last night by queueing it from Premiere to Encoder, and had another kernel panic. I moved the external hard drive that contains the project to my Mac Pro trash can, and it's exporting fine from Encoder.Can anyone help me parse the console error message I'm posting below and give me advice about what might be causing this? Adobe Media Encoder question -- Newbie here -- sorry if this is basic, but I can't find a way to change my preference to show only lists of file names in the Media Browser. I don't want to see thumbnails or preview video, just file names. Thanks so much. 

Historically, I've invoked Media Encoder from within Premiere Pro by hitting <CTL>M from within the timeline.  This brings up the Export Settings dialog where I enter my settings and then click on Queue which launches Media Encoder and loads my project and settings into it ready for rendering at the click of the green arrow.   I received several CC updates the other day, and I think Media Encoder was among them.  Since then, all of the above continues to work as usual except the last part.  Once Media Encoder launches, there's nothing in the queue.  I can add my project via the Add Source button, and render it, but that's an extra step and I'm not sure which of my export settings are coming over (I know the output file name isn't).  Is anyone else having this problem?  Any suggestions?  Thanks.

H264 사이즈에 따른 색틀어짐 현상 (최신버전 업그레이드 이후 발생) 새로운버전으로 업그레이드 이후 미디어인코더를 통해 H264로 렌더링 할때 1920x1080 사이즈보다 크면 색이 틀어져서 렌더되는 버그가 있다. 빠른 수정 부탁드린다. (( Google translation))Color distortion due to H264 size (occurred after the latest version upgrade) After upgrading to the new version, when rendering to H264 through the media encoder, if the size is larger than 1920x1080, there is a bug that the color is rendered wrong. Please make a quick fix. 

I have an AEP composition with 25 frames.In AME CC 2018 this composition is a source with 25 frames progressiv.My destination is for example 1080i25.It isn't possible to render this source with fields.For me it feels like a bug. In previous versions and in CC 2019 its possible to render this comps with fields. At the moment i have to change the Composition frame rate in After Effects to 50 frames to get field footage. 

I have set up a Watch folder in Media Encoder.When exporting a PP project, I copy a folder containing the PP project itself + Motion Graphics folder + a folder for raw material over to the watch folder. Then I move the PP project out of the folder and into the root folder of the Watch folder.Media Encoder exports the sequence, but excludes the motion graphics.Opening the project I see that the mogrt-files are linking to the previous folder structure. What can I do to fix this?

Hi all,I just tested something to match a certain upload requirement: converting a 2-minute video that was recorded and edited in 24fps to a 30fps video. Surprisingly enough, this worked.The original video was 2:19 minutes, and the converted video is also 2:19 minutes. There are interviews and music in the video, and everything is still in sync and it doesn't seem to be speeded up.Can someone tell me how this works?ME can't just come up with new frames right?Thanks in advance!Pieter

Hi,I'm stuck with this problem : I work on a 8K VR project onAfter Effects using BorisFx VR plugin...Everything's find on After Effects but when attempt to export my film through AME, a got the previsualization with the message "This effects requires gpu  acceleration"...I've already  choose "GPU Mercury Playback Engine acceleration (CUDA)" in AME preferences...Could you help me please ?

I keep trying to add a watermark to my videos, it doesn't work properly. I've got videos at 1920x1080 and image overlay at 1920x1080 (with logos in top left and bottom right), but the image is sometime completely missing, sometimes only the bottom right logo shows up but in center with no top left logo appearing, and once, though i cannot replicate the whol image but showing up much smaller so that the images are in the middle. I've tried .ai and .png overlays. Please see attached. 

Hi to all,i'm tryng to render in AVI a 2:30 minutes video with some basic effects to simulate a vhs videocamera but media encoder is not using my PC resources and it seems it's doing nothing, anyone can help me?I'm using a pc with 12 GB of RAM (9 dedicated to adobe software), intel core i7 7th gen dual core with about 2,5/3 ghz (i don't remember now) and 2 gb of NVIDIA video interface (no drivers supported by adobe, so OpenCL rendering).A screen of media encoder and media encoder usage

I have dSLR footage here that is in MTS format, and I am using macOS. I'm wondering what's a good codec to convert this to so I can edit it in Premiere? I tried Apple ProRes 422 standard and it blew up the file 10x. ProRes 422 LT was maybe around 7-8x the file size. There's a lot of footage here so i'd like to find something that's going to be gentle on filesize. 

I'm sorry if the title is a bit run-on. My brain is tired from trying to do this. So I have a LOT of very high bitrate footage in H.264 that has 12 audio channels. 7TB later I've learned my lesson but now I have TBs of bloated media. I've found that converting the footage to HEVC in AME reduces the file size blah blah blah you know this part. The problem I am having, and hoping that you can help with, is with keeping the 12 audio channels intact during the export. I want to get rid of the bloated original media once I've converted everything because my projects just aren't sustainable at the rate I'm gathering media. I know I could export it twice to work around it, but I'm hoping I'm missing something so everything can stay synced. EDIT: 2 days later and 7 people have seen this post. How is this forum this dead? Guess I should stick to reddit. For those who are curious as to what I did to resolve my issue, I just cued up a high bitrate HEVC and a 12 channel WA

Hi,  I have twenty or somthing video clips and i need to fit them to 20Gb limit. Right now they are much more. Is there a place in media composer where i could see how much space the will it estimately take. Or i just have to take the calculator and manuly figure out that 1hour of 5,5Mbit will thake this much sapce? And i have 20 smth hour os footage  Thank you.  

After updating both my Mac OS and AE and AME, When I try to open "Export Settings" in AME, I get a lot of spinning beach balls - after every button I push. Very slow and sluggish. Previously responded instantly. Anyone else experiencing this, or know of a fix? Hi Guys. I'm looking for some insight on the following scenario. My edit team creates some slideshow type videos with regularity. They're about 60 seconds long and are fairly standardized / repetitive in their structure. I'm wonder if there is a way to automatically pull still images from the videos at certain intervals. For example, I want to pull a still image at 15, 25, 35, and 45 seconds into the video. Is it possible to create a watch folder that is looking for the finished video itself and when a new video is added it takes it and then grabs the 4 still images? Thank you!

Hi! I recently received this error when trying to render a project from After Effects CC 2018 in Adobe Media Encoder. I've tried a few times and also with the built in After Effects Render Queue but no results. Some have suggested on other posts (with different error codes) to turn off GPU Acceleration or change the codec. I have an AVI file (see MediaInfo report copied below) I'm trying to open with media encoder because I need to be able to get it into Premiere Pro for editing (and audio editing in Audition eventually too). Codec is H264, audio is Mpeg-1. As I understand it, Media Encoder (and the other adobe products) isn't very agreeable with these types of codecs and/or wrappers. So two questions - how do I go about getting it into Media Encoder so I can convert the file to something more useful? Once it's actually in there, what should I convert the format to, so it works smoothly in both PP and Audition? Is this even possible without separating video from audio? I don't have much hope with an mpeg-1 audio encoding...Running Windows 10, ME 2017 was gotten through Creative Cloud.MediaInfo GeneralComplete name                            : G:\Quail\Videos\Demaso727.avi

We are upgrading our editing suites here and I am trying to find informaiton about how many cores Encoder can use.  For example, if we upgrade to a 12 core + hyperthreaded behemoth can / will Encoder 19 use all those cores or will it max out at some lower number?   Also if anyone can point me to a forum / spec sheet / whatever that explains how Encoder uses a computers resources I would be very grateful.  What I really want to know is if I throw a supercomputer at Encoder and try to render some 4k mov files to mp4, will it utilize all the resources or does it stop seeing resources after a certain point?  If we get an i9 9920 plus RTX 2070 will Encoder still max out the CPU whlie rendering?  Thanks. 

In AME, I'm rendering out an AfterEffects 4k video in the HEVC h.265 codec. However, when I check the High Dynamic Range checkbox, the video comes out underexposed and dingy. I've tried compensating in AfterEffects, but all I end up with is something that looks like a dim overexposed video. Is there a way to compensate for the lower brightness/lower contrast that the HDR setting brings, so it looks closer to the pre-rendered file?

I am trying to automate the rendering process using templates, extend-script, and apple-script.While running the command: app.project.renderQueue.queueInAME(true); My project gets transferred to Adobe Media Encoder from After Effects and the rendering process starts with the same configuration as the last render.The render time may vary depending upon the complexity of the render. The function queueInAME( ) returns nothing back. Is there any way to know when the rendering task has finished or if there came any errors in the process?Is there a callback method which might enable this?
