Questions

Within a few minutes of working on a file I'll no longer be able to edit any text in input fields. This appears when I try to edit the position of an object by changing it's x or y values, rename a layer, or edit the distance of a stack. The only solution to this problem appear to be alt-tabbing to a another maximized application. Switching to an application that isn't maximized has no effect. It must be a maximized window to "wake up" XD. This isn't much of a workaround, as there are times where I have to alt-tab to another application several times a minute. It appears to be a Windows 10 issue, as my teammates are on Mac and haven't had the same problem.  This has been ongoing for several months and is a constant source of annoyance. I managed to record a video of the behavior which I can share privately if it will help. I'm running Adobe XD 40.1.22.3 on Windows 10 Enterprise (Version 10.0.19042 Build 19042)

Hi! I have seen a designer on YouTube turn on and off the layout grid for different artboards in an XD file. I am currently working with the three artboards and seem to only be able to make a global decision on the layout grid.  Here's what I want to do:- Have a style guide artboard that does not have a layout grid visible- Have design pages that do have the layoutgrid visible Here's what's happening:- Turn on layout grid and it appears on all artboards in the file- Select a single artboard and layout grid turns off for all artboards How do I turn the layout grid on or off separately for artboards in the same file? Thanks!

does this key command exist, also I cant find the baseline shift function...

Using the XD web viewer, I want to zoom into a file at ~200% and look at the far left edge. I am completely unable to do this on an XD link; the browser-back gesture is always triggered by the motion. I will never use the Adobe XD again ever if the issue is not fixed.I saved the files last night and today when I opened XD it asked me to sign in I tought it was logged out or something, but all my data was washed away all the files I was working on I have deadlines to fullfill and this is total sh!t. Adobe is such a big brand and poor services. I want my data back it is important to me. This is no way to treat the customers. I have recently opened an old XD document (I don't use the software that often) and I need to save it locally. However when I select 'Save as Local Document' nothing happens. I've checked my recent files on my Mac and there's nothing there? I really can't save the file to the cloud and I find it ridiculous that you can't easily save locally. Anyone have any idea what's going on here? I'm tempted to uninstall XD and look into alternatives at this point.

Highlighting something that is blue and very small, it won't be found.  If what is highlighted is underneath a lot of layers, it won't be found.We need some sort of glowing in and out, animated arrow, change of colors, something to properly indicate the precise location of the highlighted target.  If our life depended upon searching for the Where's Waldo within 5 seconds, most of the people would be dead.

HelloI previously installed Adobe XDThen I uninstalled itAnd now I want to reinstall it. But there is a problem and it is during the installation of the application that appears: An earlier installation of this product was found. This product will be installed at its original location.When I ignore it and press continue, the application will be installed, but I cannot open it.When I enter it, it opens for ten seconds and then closes for good.When I search for the location of files where the application was installed, I don't find it installed in the default path.Can I understand where the problem is and how the application does not exist but when I try to install it it appears to me that it really exists !!  

There's a considerable delay happening between hovering over a component and its state changing. Why is this? it makes the prototype feel clunky and unresponsive which is not good!

My guides disappear when I'm in prototyping mode, this causes a lot of problems when positioning an overlay.There are no X/Y positioning options.Using the cursor arrows moves the element that triggers the overlay NOT the overlay.How am I supposed to accurately position an overlay, by eye?So much for pixel perfection... 

I can't believe this - I've lost 9 hours of work today on my XD project. I save my work all the time. At the end of the day, I saved & closed. Then I noticed in my file explorer that the date on my project was still from yesterday (wtf??) so I opened it back up and sure enough, EVERYTHING I did today was gone. There is no option to revert, no auto-save, no nothing. And to clarify, the app did NOT crash. I received no indications that anything was wrong. It appeared to be saving all day, although it was clearly not. This is insane.    {Renamed By MOD}

Hi Community.For some time now I have been getting this error message: "No connection. Check the internet connection and repeat the process".(In German: "Keine Verbindung. Überprüfen Sie die Internetverbindung und wiederholen Sie den Vorgang."Seems like Adobe is not getting a sufficient internet connection. Has anyone had similar problem before and may be able to help? I was logged out this morning...logged back in to find all my cloud files are gone! I've logged out and back in several times with no luck. Please help...I have years of work saved to the cloud!

Hi Adobe community.I'm currently trying to adopt the 8px grid system (soft grid) to my UI/UX design in XD. I've watched quite a few videos and read quite a few websites, I've found several answers, but can't seem to find the one that relates to XD. When I'm using the 4px 8px 16px etc spacing around text elements do I move 8px from the XD blue guide box, the bottom of the desender or ascender/cap or from the baseline? I'm using the soft grid system. With regards the XD blue guide around the text how best is this to be utilised. I'm tryng to undertsand the best way to align and measure each element so it stay within the 8pt system. I've noticed the text boxes seem to have a large space above the text. I've tried adding pictures to expalin, hope they help. Any advice, websites, video or ref will be greatly appreciated. 🙂 David 

Hi, I'm having trouble exporting my artboards to a public link for prototype testing. When I go to export the flow of artboards, I get the message "Replace Existing Wires: To share your seletion as a linear flow, we need to add new interactiions and remove existing ones." I do not want a linear flow, and instead want the wire interactions I created in prototype mode to work with the shareable link. Is there any way around this?

Hi,I've noticed a wierd behavior with the text tool, shut down XD, shut down computer, retsatrted and still experiencing this below. Even if the fill color is any color but white, I never see what I'm typing till I finish typing and hit esc, then it shows in my fill colorIf there's a text and I want to edit by double clicking to insert and edit text, it doesn't change, look at the video attached Thanks,Purple

I haven't exported in a while but when I used to export a scene node as PNG it would export 1x and 2x.  If the layer was named, "MyIcon" then it would export:  MyIcon.png MyIcon@2x.png Now it only exports MyIcon.png.  I'm going to the menu as File > Export > Selected.  How do I export both the 1x and 2x at the same time like before?  Adobe XD 51.0.12.6 OSX 10.15.7

Hey guys,For example, I apply a text style to some text. Later, if I click on that text, how do I know what style I applied? Figma has a LINK STYLE TO TEXT feature which tells you exacyly what style was applied, is there something similar in XD? Not bashing XD, I totally love XD and dislike Figma, but this would be a very useful feature.Thanks

Hello all,As far as I remember, XD has this option to show the CSS and html code in the developer link but I can’t see it in the link anymore. Pretty dissapointed cause I was gonna use that. Does anyone have the same issue or it is just my links?
