Am I able to add bones to a photo I have prepared in parts from Photoshop?

I use An quite allot and love it!

However of late I am wanting to develop my skills and start getting into more of it. Using bones the camera etc.

Now I don't draw anything in AN I do all my imagery in photoshop and save as psd then import to stage.

I mostly use artwork of friends - cut it up into parts to seperate all the bits I need for my animation.

Im wanting to speed up the process and use bones to tie in the characters etc.

At first when I try to add bones it says cannot add bones to bitmap image.

However when I highlight the peice and select "Break apart" it allows me to add bones.

But for some reason its not really working out right.

Is there a tutorial someone can direct me too that uses the bone tool feature on imagery not created in AN?

Thank you.

Using bitmap objects, the best thing to do is to convert each movable piece into a MovieClip symbol and then apply your bone definitions to those, creating a complete armature.

So select a piece - hit F8 to convert to a MovieClip symbol. Repeat and then add bones.
