Hello everyone! I'm currently new to using JSFL files. I was going to use them for my new animation, however, when I tried using it, it didn't do anything! I'm not sure if the file is outdated or what's happening but I need help with this problem.
Basically I have 2 helpers in movie, placed in Global scripts and they work ok unless I am trying to export Video/Media and then I'm getting this:And these scripts exepctidly have no effect on the resulting video.Any possible workaround except copy/paste functions all over the timeline?
Heyy!! is there anyone that knows how to recover an animate file, when the auto-recovery was also damaged? Its happened out of the blue, and all my work got lost.
I need help, becuase everytime I replay my animation (without test movie) it lags all the time, and there is no way to fix it. Is there something wrong with my grpahics driver or storage?
I am using the latest version of Animate on Windows 11. I am having trouble controlling the camera when I have it settle at the end of a zoom. At the next keyframe, it justs about 2 pixels off of where I have it positioned. This is after I have the previous keyframe move at a Cubic Ease-In-And-Out, which only makes the jump more evident. I tried copying and pasting the previous keyframe in the current keyframe, and then the later keyframe, and neither one solves the issue.
Hey before I start just gotta say I'm a HUGE beginner with Adobe animate and have basically just only recently started using it so pls bare with me I'm trying to make my first animatic and am currently just doing simple sketches with the fluid brush tool and I like to do sketches with low opacity However whenever I draw it just all ends up sharing the same exact grey color rather than actually building up into the solid black colorDoes anyone know how to fix this?If you need any more info feel free to ask
So my animations lip-sync and movement at a point is glitching a lot, then it loops and isn't synced with the audio, here's a video if you need it.
All - looking for some direction on the use of Oracle Java by Adobe in products such as Animate. The version is licenseable. With Oracle's recent change to an enterprise employee metric, how is this being addressed by Adobe or is there alternate Java products to use? A single installation of Adobe Animate (or another Creative Suite product that uses Java) could cost a significant amount of money for any organization. I have not been able to find any clear documentation on the web on Adobe's stance. Any help or guidance would be extremely appreciated.
I am trying to loop a movie clip symbol. I want the loop to start at a later point in the timeline so that the double-pulse plays once, then only one pulse plays for the rest of the duration. However, when I tried to code this in HTML5, the single pulse plays as a wave. The code is called in the internal timeline of the pulses on the last frame of the loop, which is a blank keyframe. Here is the code I am using for the pulses:var _this = this; this.play(); if (frameLabel == 'SinglePulse') this.gotoAndPlay('SinglePulse')
Hello everbody. I saw that other people have this problem too but so far there wasnt a solution. There are fonts which work perfectly fine with all the other adobe apps but not in Animate and its driving me crazy. For some reason Animate cant get the kerning right: In Indesign:In Animate:I am using a Mac with Sonoma 14.1.2 and Adobe Animate version 24.0. Why, is that and what can I do about it? Playing around with the kerning settings doesnt change anything.
I wanted to use "Save As" in one of my projects, but nothing happened after I clicked it. The drop-down menu only dissapeared. And, when I tried to export one of my symbols as a PNG, that also did not work, as well as almost every button you can use. The only shot I have at getting them to work again is closing Animate, but then all my projects would be lost, because the Save As button was not working. What do I do?
I'm developing HTML banners for a client and when I input text the tracking is awful, and it's automatically doing it by default. The spaces between each letter are all over the place, When I use 'Dynamic' the text is set relatively correct, but once I break the type so it becomes a shape it instantly goes back to looking like it does when input text using static.I can't even reduce the tracking myself because some letters are much closer/further away than others. It's literally a mess. I've tried restarting/reopening. same result. Why is Animate CC handling my text so poorly?
The data size is always set to 99 KBs when it comes to saving data in my project that I'm working on. I'm using Flash CS6 and ActionScript 2.0. I don't want it to be more than 96 KBs. Flash CS3 does that too.How can I make the data size less than 96 kbs.Here's the code of the persistant data manager. to look at Please note that this is ActionScript 2.0: class sugar.data.PersistantDataManager { var _so; var _delayWrite; var _status = ""; var _frame = 0; var _delay = 0; var _cachedWrite = false; var SELECTED_SIZE = 90000; var MAXIMUM_DATA_SIZE = 96 * 1024; function PersistentDataManager() { this._so = null; } function loadSharedObject(pSharedObjectID) { this._so = SharedObject.getLocal(pSharedObjectID, "/"); this._so.onStatus = mx.utils.Delegate.create(this, this.onStatusUpdate); if (this._so == null) { } } function onStatusUpdate(pStatusInfo) { this._status = pStatusInfo.code; switch (this._status) { case "SharedObject.Flush.Failed" : return
I'm working on HTML5 ads, and I use the Open Sans font. Everything was working perfectly fine until Animate decided to mess around with the kerning on all my project files. I've already tried using the kerning option, checking and unchecking auto-kerning, and following all the suggestions I've found in different discussions about this issue, but nothing works... I'm completely lost. I just noticed that not all fonts have this issue; for example, Proxima Nova works perfectly fine. I'm working on a mackbook pro m3 pro, sonoma 14.2.1. Can someone help?
i'm trying to un-parent the right arm from the body of my character. i un-parented all the other layers from the body by clicking the line and selecting "remove parent", and it worked. when i press "remove parent" for the right arm, it literally just does nothing. im so confused.😭
This program is very cool, so why does it work so crookedly on macos)) The new version 24.9 works more stably, but there are still crashes. But now the most annoying thing is that I can't make a normal gradient from the colours I need. I can't pick up the colour, as soon as I take a colour for my gradient, it switches to another tool, it pipettes the wrong colour at all
I'm trying to animate something that is meant to be bendy but starts with a perfectly straight sprite. For consistency and my own sanity, I'd like the bones I want to set up with Asset Warp to form a perfectly straight line, down the middle of the sprite. Is there a hotkey or shortcut I can use to force the bones to be on a cardinal direction? In Photoshop, several tools (such as gradient) let you hold Shift to force the tool to operate on a cardinal direction (perfectly vertical or horizontal). Is there a way to do this with Asset Warp? Alternatively, once I've placed my pins/bones, is it possible to change where on the sprite a certain pin is? I don't mean manually dragging the pins around (as this would Warp the Asset, obviously), but actually changing the pin positions relative to the sprite so I could straighten out the bones?
Whenever I open Animate and try to start a new project with the 'Create New' button, nothing happens. I click the button but no screens or windows pop up, it doesn't prompt me for canvas size or anything, just nothing. I can choose a template fine, but cannot create a new canvas using that button. I also cannot open my CC Libraries. Nothing shows up at all, not a loading wheel, not an error message, just blank. I've already:Uninstalled and reinstalled the appSelected 'Exclude Simple Hostnames' in my network settingsRestarted the computer to see if that was it (it wasn't)Relaunched the Creative Cloud App Checked to see if the hosts were set up properly (they are) It's specifically Animate, the other apps work fine. I'm using Animate 2023 23.0.7 on a Macbook Pro, Big Sur 11.7.10. I cannot update Animate, so that's not a solution
I have a set of overlay effect videos that can be imported fine into After Effects, but when I go to add them to stage in Animate they don't show up. When I try to import video the following error comes up: When I convert to a H.264 it just adds a video player of the clip into the stage and not the video with the transperant background. The videos are encoded in PNG format for what it's worth (and as mentioned work as intended in Adobe After Effects). It would be nice to be able to import them to use them inside timeline animations but I supposed exporting the animation and then further editing in After Effects might be the only option but I wanted to check. Thanks team!
Hello I have been using Animate on various jobs for the past 4 years or so. I have used various line toold and shape objects and I have never had problems with lagging. Sadly on my most recent job I have had absolutely horrible problems with lagging, virtually slowing my work down drastically. I have tried the obvious solutions: - scaling down- lowering the preview quality- deleting the library cache- installing an older version of the softwareThe issues that occur are that it takes a very long time to zoom in and out, delete linework and the software often crashes when I select all the linework when I want to change the line thickness, or color. The lag becomes worse the more linework I add, so the end of my shot, doing simple things like moving around the stage becomes torturous. All your support and help will be greatly appreciated
Hi!I'm working on a project for school that involves some simple animation and basic scripting on a HTML 5 canvas. My issue is that when I go to test the animation, I get a "A javascript error occured" message, and I'm at a loss as to what could be causing it. I have some scripting in actions, but even if I completley delete this scripting, I still get the error message when testing the movie. I saw that there was another post with the same error message a few years back, and their fix was to restart animate, restart the computer and try unchecking "export image assets" under publish settings.I'm at a loss!
Please excuse my frustration... I'm surprised not a single person on planet earth has asked this question before... that or there's just not a clear answer to this problem for Adobe Animate.STORY:So I copied a symbol and pasted it onto another frame... I forgot to convert it again to a new symbol so that whatever changes I make will not affect the original symbol. Since I made too many changes on the original symbol its beyond undo.QUESTION:So my question is... does Adobe Animate create a folder that has previous autosave version(s) of the file? If so, where do I find it? If its an option that I don't have turned on, where do I find that on the Adobe Animate program? If this is possible, could you just give me a simple direction like: Windows (C:) > Program Files > Adobe > Adobe Animate CC 2018......Also, don't mix this up with AUTO-RECOVERY, yes I know those files are located on the same folder as the same file you're working on. Thoug
Is there a way to reduce this? Basically in the export (i'm not sure about preview cause my pc runs very slowly when everything is visible), the glows create a really annoying flickering effect. It's just a simple classic tween. I can share the file if needed (I'm mainly refering to the blue on the gun)
Hey all, I hope someone else has run into this problem and knows the workaround. So I've been using Adobe Animate for around three weeks and have been running into this problem constantly. Basically, what seems to be happening is that the Bitmap files that I use will corrupt whenever the software crashes and I'll get that red square above instead of the original file. Everything else in the animation (drawings/text) will be completely fine. Honestly, I've tried doing this five times now over three weeks and every single time it's crashed then corrupted random bitmaps I'm using. Then for some reason it corrupts all my back-up files as well (so version 3.08, 3.07 ... basically every version I saved as a back-up that uses those bitmap animations). The images that get corrupted seem to be random every single time it crashes, with only one or two similarities between them. I wondered if at first it was due to me using shape tweens on the bitmaps, so I swapped them out f
