Is there like a stripped down version of adobe animate CC that I could buy or get for free cause I am not up for adobes subscription?

If you cannot afford ANCC, you can use some similar software that is free or free to try depending on what you want to do.

The following allow publishing to HTML5 and some to many other publishing platforms.

Saola Animate (more like Edge Animate but really nice)

Construct 2 and 3 - it is a game platform but you can do a lot and use it for ad banners as well.

Construct 2 is free for personal use.

ANCC is great though even for someone like me who misses Edge Animate CC.

It still amazes me that so many businesses and developers allowed themselves to become dependent on what Adobe clearly declared as experimental software products. Experiments end. You'd think people would have known better.
