I'm on Bridge 14.0 -- installed a few days ago. I change the default setting for various photos to Photoshop, but somewhere in the using of Bridge -- the default changes to Illustrator. When I'm working on 29 photos for a story -- this is quite the time-waster. Sometimes, when I close Bridge and reopen, Then the defaults are correct. But not always. Any clues?Windows 11, All CC updates to date.
See screen shots. Bridge 13.0.3.693 has been averaging over 20% of the CPU for several days. But while it's slowing down my use of Photoshop, it has ZERO disk activity. What could Bridge be doing for hours on end that does not require reading from or writing to disc?
Servus! Lg Leander
Hey there,my Bridge does not generate any thumbnails/preview images for my 4K/h.256/10bit/v-log video files.I tried increasing the max. amount of mb, clearing cache, etc... it's simply not working. My 4K videos with 8bit are processed normally. This is pretty annoying in my workflow and makes Bridge absolutely useless to me.I currently run version 12.0.1.246 and it seems like there is no further update. I really need a fix for this asap.... Thanks in advance! (The attached screenshot shows the difference between 8bit and 10bit files)
I recently completed a full upgrade on my PC inc motherboard and processor with Windows 10 pro already installed. I installed Creative Cloud followed by Bridge 13.03.693, Photoshop 24.5.0 and Lightroom. At this point I was able to download images to Bridge as normal. After a week of testing etc I updated to Windows 11 Pro and now I am unable to download from my camera and receive the following Photodownloader.exe System Error. 'The code execution cannot proceed because MSVCP100.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix the problem'.I have installed Faststone ImageViewer and can download images succesfully and edit from bridge.Any help would be much appreciated.
Hallo zusammen, vvl weis jemand Rat.
Hi, I am new to Adobe Bridge, but I am struggling with deleting keywords. Whenever I delete 'Other Keywords' they immediately come back. I have attached a video to give you a better understanding of what I mean. Also, does anyone know of any good alternatives to Bridge that work in the same way but with a better way to narrow down keyword searches. Doing Control + F and then doing that 'all criteria met' thing is such a long way to narrow down searches, which the filter option was able to do this.
Jumping from cs6 to cc2023 on my newer macbook pro running ventura 13.6, I have found that many of my subfolders and many images are not visible in bridge. They are in the finder, but I can't see them in bridge. How do I fix this?
HiForever ive been hoping the keyword seperator could be changed to a comma instead of a semi colon, is this at all possible? So many time i cut and paste keywords from bridge to 'other locations' and these location only recognise comma seperators. Would just save me another step in the work flow.
Good morning, I'm writing because since I switched from Nikon D800 to Nikon Z6II (about 5 months ago), I've been experiencing an issue with creating HDR images in Lightroom Classic. Nothing too terrible, but it's still a bothersome problem that seems a lot like a bug. Here's how to replicate the issue: Open the bracketed images in Adobe Bridge and select "Remove Chromatic Aberration" for all the images. The lens profile correction is already preselected, so just click "Save." Import the images into Lightroom and proceed with the HDR merging and DNG creation. Return to Bridge and open one of the created DNGs in Camera Raw. You'll notice that the lens profile section has lost its automatic selection. To resolve this issue, manually set the lens profile back to "Automatic" to reapply the correct lens profile. I hope this bug gets resolved. Thank you!
Hello everyone, I need some assistance, please! After renaming a batch of files, I noticed that the file extensions were missing and I am no longer able to preview them. I am using Bridge version 14.0.0.012 on a Mac. I have attached some screenshots for reference. This is my first time using Bridge and I am worried that I have lost all the files that were renamed. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you and have a great day!
I am writing to express my frustration regarding the unresponsiveness of Adobe Bridge 2023 on macOS Ventura.Whenever I try to launch Adobe Bridge, the software simply doesn't respond. It does not crash outright, but it remains unresponsive, making it impossible for me to use the application. This issue has persisted despite my attempts to troubleshoot, including reinstalling the software and verifying system compatibility.Anyone facing the same issues?
Long time user of Bridge, one Keyboard Shortcut that was removed several versions ago was the TAB key's invoking a maximized/full screen Thumbnails content panel (now, by default, TAB just goes to "next item"). I find the full-screen thumbnails view quite useful for navigating/selecting images in a folder but navigating the menu system to achieve it is quite cumbersome (selecting the Menu in the thumbnails Content Panel tab, Panel Group Settings, Maximize Panel Group... Then returning to original view requires reverse navigation of this menu and selecting "Restore Panel Group Size"). I'd love to return the TAB key to this toggle this function but have not figured out how to do so with this new Keyboard Shortcut creation option. Is this possible?
For the last month or so, even with the updates to Bridge just a few days ago, I am still getting two of every photo showing up when I attempt to download from my camera into bridge. It's frustrating to try to go in and check and uncheck boxes when I have hundreds of photos at a time that I'm trying to download after a wedding or event. HELP! The current version is Bridge 14.0.0
I've been a pro retoucher for many years -using Photoshop/Bridge combo.I have preferred using Bridge/Camera Raw to organize & process files. Some associates prefer Lightroom, which I have been told shares internal engines with Bridge.I may soon receive some raw files that have been partially processed in LR -with LR Presets. Will those presets remain with the Raw files if I open them via Bridge, or will I need LR?I actually have Prefs set with Photoshop as the Host for Camera Raw -if that is a factor.(using latest versions of Photoshop/Bridge, and I have LR if needed) Thank you
I am using Bridge workflow to resize a batch of images. I have entered all the settings in the right hand panel, and SAVED. But when I run the workflow it saves the images (in the new folder as specified) but does not reduce the file size. I am wanting to reduce the file size significantly so I have the SCALE IMAGE setting at 20%I use tbhis at home on my Mac and it seems to work ok. Not sure what I am doing wrong at my office on a PC
Hi, I have updated Bridge to the 2024 Version, Mac OS Ventura, however any Smart Collections I had do not work now. I have tried setting them up again, but it does not work. I am trying to find pdfs for each customer so I can refer to each job. This worked fine before the update. I have reset prefs/cache but this does not work. Thanks
hi, I cant find where thy put the image processor in the new bridge.normaly is under tools- photoshop. can someone help? many thansk.pernille
This was an answer in a different post that I wrote but it needs its own thread, so hopefully Adobe progranmmers will fix this. I just found a WEIRD solution for the insanely high CPU when Bridge 2023 just sits there unused... it works and not sure why. If I start up on Bridge in the Essentals view, the CPU hits around 45-50% and temps go to 85-90C on my MSI M16 Content Creator laptop (Win 11 Pro, 12th gen proc). I've attached an image showing this. SO, at the bottom of the Bridge window, grab the slider that changes the view percentage, and drag it all the way left, so your thumbnails are super tiny. Your CPU should drop to 0.2% or so. Seriously. Then for me, I dragged the slider back up to about 40% which works for me size-wise, and it's holding steady quite nicely... Bridge is sitting there at less than 1%. I've left it running while I work in Photoshop on other stuff, and Bridge is quiet as a mouse. Hopefully this bug can be addressed and fixed quickly. If someone co
See screenshot. The Filter area says there are 66 2-star files. The count at the bottom of the screen says there are 132 items, which is correct. Same for all of the other star counts in the Filter area - they are all wrong.
Normaly while in Bridge I double click an image and it opens in camera Raw as it should. I edit it in camera raw and when I go to open it in PS by clicking the "open" button bottom right nothing happens. It just closes down and I'm back in Bridge without my edits being saved, Very frustrating.I just noticed that if while in Bridge, instead of double clicking an image to open in RAW as I normally do, if I right click on the image and select open in PS 2024, it opens in Camera Raw and then will open in PS when I click the "open" button at the bottom right. It's a workaround, but an annoying one to say the least. BTW, I'm running the most current versions of Bridge, ACR and PS.Thanks
I used camera raw through adobe bridge to edit one of my images. Once I was finished with my edits, I saved it as a Tiff file. Then, I went back to edit it some more and save a second version of the image– also as a Tiff file. What I didn't realize was that when I saved this second version, it also changed the first version Tiff I exported. I thought once I saved a particular version as a Tiff it was untouchable and finshed the same way a png or jpeg would be, but I seem to have been wrong about that. Can anyone explain why this happened? Also, is there a way to get the first version with the initial edits back while still keeping the second version in tact?
Hi, my workflow in Bridge is to simply hit spacebar then go through all of my photos either deleting them or rating them, but for any HEIC files from my phone the quality is really low and they look really blurry. I've tried going Preferences -> Advanced and making sure 'Generate monitor-size previews' is checked and I've purged the cache but they're still the same as before. I do have the Windows 10 HEIC codecs installed and they open fine in Windows 10 Photos. Any suggestions please?
When reviewing images in Bridge, I use the right arrow key to advance to the next image. I have noticed that Bridge will, on occasion (frequently but not every time), advance two images instead of moving to the next image in numerical order. In more lay terms, the images should advance 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 but will often advance 1,2, 4, 5, 7, 9 etc. Does anyone know of a fix for this behavior? Thanks
