Questions

I messed up my slide masters and themes.AND I deleted placeholders too.How can I restore my original slide masters/themes and placeholders?I went to the control panel and the only option is to UNINSTALL.I want to "re-install" perhaps?  Or "repair"But that setting is not there.

I've already converted all of my Flash projects to HTML5, but someone from a different department asked me today if they originally published with SWF and HTML5, do they need to republish to just HTML5 in order to be sure their content still works when Flash support ends?  I know with other products (Storyline), the browser will first look for the HTML5 content, and only use the Flash content as a fallback, but I'm not sure if Captivate also works that way. Sounds like a browser-specific thing to me...

I am using Captivate 11.5.1.499 (2019).  I have a department that wants all of their staff to take a test after being hired.  I have a good mockup of the test, and even got the SCORM to work with our LMS. If the staff member fails (and honestly, even if they pass), their supervisor wants to go over the test answers with them.  I have successfully gotten the SCORM to pass the questions and answers over to the LMS, but there is no good way for the manager to see those results easily. Is there a way at the end of the test (quiz) to show, or better yet, dump in a file or e-mail, the questions and answers from the test, either all of them, or at least the ones that were missed.

Issue: Friday, I noticed a message in the Adobe Creative Cloud app suggesting to get the Adobe Account Access app for faster Adobe login and better account security. I installed it on my mobile device and when I launched the app it gave me a code to put in to my desktop prompt for it. Everything in Creative Cloud has done fine. However, when I launch Captivate, it now gives me the login prompt asking for my seriel number. I know from seeing that once before that an uninstall and reinstall of the Creative Cloud app fixes this, but not this time. I have also tried restarting my computer. I suspect that maybe Adobe might not have given the Captvate deveopers the memo about this app and it is breaking my credentialing. Has anyone else had issues logging in since installing that Adobe app so I can either confirm it or know it must be something else and to keep searching for a solution?

Once a learner has submitted a response to a Captivate Question Slide, can the slide be configured to oautomatically advance to the next question slide without having to press the "Y" key or click anywhere on the question slide?

Hello,When I get captures for a project, I am capturing screenshots (I'll have captured 10 for example) and then it stops and gives me the following error message: A fatal error has occurred and the application is being terminated. Adobe Captivate has tried to save all your work in the respective project folder as ".cpbackup" files. Please restart Adobe Captivate. When it saves the backup it's only 1 screenshot???When I click OK, the software closes. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Captivate in the past to get past other errors. I have the latest Captivate 2019 and the latest update. Need some assistance as I continue to run into various errors such as the one above and I can't get any work done.Appreciate any insight or help.Thanks much,Stefanie

when I import a video ( flv, mp4.. - it doesn't matter ) I can see the video when I preview my slide but I can't see the video when I publish the presentation. Help !!

Hello all. I'm in the process of creating a Knowledge Check Interactive Quiz with a custom result slide. Each question is an overlay slide on a video slide that runs the length of all of the questions with the custom results that is not a overlay slide. Unfortunately, I'm not getting any results on the custom result slide. I'm using Paul Wilson's example(Adobe Captivate Practice Exam with Custom Results Slide) on Youtube. The only difference I see is that he doesn't have the questions(overlay slides) on a video which I suspect is the issue. My custom results slide was created from a blank slide. Since overlay slide types are only 'Knowledge Check Questions', and 'Content", would creating my custom results slide from a content slide type give the results I'm seeking? If anyone have another solution, please elaborate. Thanks.

I have to use a Web Object to contain a table that will scroll since it won't all fit on screen (15 rows, 2 columns). However, there are vocabulary words that I need to be clickable (like a hyperlink), but instead of opening a link, I need it to show a hidden pop up box that is located on the Captivate slide.  Does anyone know the HTML code to make this happen? Thank you for your help! PS - I will have 4 pop ups, named Pop01, Pop02, Pop03, and Pop04.

Hello,I recently went to publish the final project I've been working on, and I went through the publishing process and selected the saving destination to be my desktop. An error message appeared in Captivate then the program shut down and all of my desktop files were deleted.I'm currently using a Mac, running OS X El Capitan version 10.11.6; and I've spoken with Apple support representatives on the phone, and we were not apple to retrieve any of the lost documents. I have an appointment with Apple tomorrow, to see if anything can be salvaged.I am wondering if this has happened to anyone else, and if so what can I do to avoid this in the future when I try to publish the final project again?I have had issues with Captivate before where I've had to reset and shut down my computer, and seeing an error message was nothing new. However, this is a lot more substantial.

Hi ! I've been having an unusual problem with Captivate 2019 (v 11.5.1.499)If I want to remove a defective audion file attached to a slide, whether I recordedit into the program or attached it as an mp3, the program won't let me replace theold file with new. It hangs onto the old file for dear life. I even delected the slide,replaced the text, attached a new audio file, but it keeps reverting to the old.Anyone have this issue ?

I've been using Adobe Presenter 11.1 with PowerPoint (16.0.13426.20330) 64-bit on a Windows 10 m machine sucessfully for several months. Now for some reason when I publish, any text that is animated gets distored and elongated. My only solution has been to delete the animation. I can't think of anything that has changed that might cause this. Any advise?  

Hello I have a question.If i cancel adobe caaptivate plan, can i still use the files i saved? 

I am building a project in which, based on the selections the user makes, I will be building a dynamic slide of information. For example, if they choose A and C they will get a list of combined characteristics of those 2 groups. I would like them to then be able to either save and/or print that slide so they can take it with them. Any ideas how I can do this?

Hi Team, In my ongoing course, I am using 100% completion for a restricted navigation course to mark a course as completed in scorm reporting. Some users are getting 100% completion but some don't. Even I tried number of pages visit too. But no luck. I have observed that when a slide is visited, Table of contents has a selected check box. My assumption is that when learners are taking the course in multiple times, bookmarking is not happening and checkbox in TOC is not selected. So I just wanted to check instead of % completion or slide visit, if there is a way to create assessment slide as background to my content slide. So that by default, they enter that slide, the course can be marked complete inLMS. Please advise.

Hi,  I've published my project for "devices" and it works perfectly on a range but seems to have an issue when viewed on a Samsung Galaxy A41 as the writing is black and the positioning goes wierd too - any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

Is there a way to add a "Next" button on all slides of an existing project (about 100 slides), preferably not having to alter the Master slide?

Hi I've created a captivate e-learning module is unable to upload it to cornerstone succeed.  Is adobe captivate compatible with cornerstone (succeed)? 

I am using Captivate 2019. Earlier this year I was able to access additional cutout characters via the "Get Free eLearning Assets" button in the My Assets panel. This was an excellent repository of different characters. Now, however, the button leads to a 404 Error Page. Has anyone encountered this? Is there a fix for this?
