Hello, Can you suggest a good tool to convert my AICC learning material to SCORM? I want to be able to track course completions in my LMS, therefore, AICC will not work? Thanks,HG.

Hi,i have a project which works fine with Cap 2019 Update 1. I updated to Cap 2019 Update 2, tried to open the project, and ...the new font replacement wanted me to replace a font which is not missing. All my other projects which use the same font work fine!!!The problem is, i cant stop the font replacement. It started to replace a font which is not missing and........crashed.So i reinstall the old Captivate 2019 Version to continue my work but i dont want to use a different computer for every Captivate Update in the future.Any solution?Kind regards,Andreas

I recorded a software simulation using Version 11.5.1 on Windows. When I preview or publish the output to video, the only thing that displays is the action on the screen. For example I can see a selection I make on the screen, like choosing from a list, but the rest of the screen is white.  I tried publishing to HTML and that gets better results (but I need a video). Thank you! Amy

Just want to start by saying I do not create the elearnings. we have vendors do them, I just make tweaks when needed. I have a captivate file that is published as scorm 1.2. when uploaded to our new LMS it comes back with "error on line 12 at column 20: StartTag: invalid element name ". this is an older elearning that we had created in 2015. Not sure if that has anything to do with it.  As a secondary problem when I tried to preview the file in the SCORM cloud it comes back with check your internet connection error message. 

I have created a branching slide using the branching groups and labelling method. I have created custom button states for each button so when the user returns to the main branching slide they can see what has been completed and what hasn't. When I test these states in captivate everything works as anticipated. When I try to preview my project in HTML5 the buttons work and the branching is functional, however the button states do not change so you cannot tell which slide you've visited. I have tried everything I can think of to resolve this with no success. Anyone know of this issue or any solutions?

Good morning,I have just downloaded the trial version and wanted to used some of the additional characters under Assets, Charaters, Discover. I go there, and can browse characters, but if I click download, a screen about download progress comes up that has no progress bar or buttons and nothing happens--see screenshot below. I am on Windows. How can I download these characters? I can download the main set of characters from the Assets, Characters screen, it is just the ones under Discover that don't work. I tried exiting out and restarting Captivate.

Hello,  I am trying to restore the default Quiz results page on my Captivate 2019 project. I used the pearl theme, which I customized with color and background and saved.   I have deleted two buttons from my Quiz Results slide on mu project template, but  now I am having issues with the function of the project. It will not post the results to my google sheet I have set up on my widget. It posted results prior to this change, and unfortunately I saved over the last project so I cannot restore from the last version. I have read, and now know deleting things from the quiz results slide will cause issues.  I can view the master quiz results slide and the buttons are still there, but when I click reset, the buttons do not apppear on my project. When I open a new blank project, the same issue occurs as if I reset a default setting and deleting those buttons on all projects. But again, I can still see those button ons the main master slide vie

One of my coworkers had a project that is defaulting to open in Firefox.  They say they haven't done anything on their computer to cause this.

I updated to the latest version of Captivate, and am now getting a fatal error when recording."A fatal error has occurred and the application is being terminated. Adobe Captivate has tried to save all your work...."I have the issue narrowed down to the recording setting.  I use a Custom recording mode, to capture a "hybrid" version or simulation/demo.In the Modes>Custom screen, I have selected the option to "Use Smart Shapes instead of Captions"If I "deselect" this setting and instead use Captions - then it will record with the rest of the settings and no error is generated.So there is an issue with using Smart Shapes in the capture.Here is some other information:I have been using this recording setting successfully on Captivate 2019 - this only started happening with the latest version release - which we upgraded to last week.This is happening to EVERY team member on our eLearning design team (6 team members) - so this is not specific to one userI cleared the CACHE in Preferen

I downloaded the trial version of Captivate and I am working through various tutorials. I have noticed that the content of some windows is cut off on the right side. Below are two screen caps —  I am using Captivate 2019, 11.5.4.613 (the free trial right now) on a Mac, 10.14.6.Is this a known issue?Thanks

Hello, I am trying to work out why the training will not auto play when I either preview the file within Captivate or when we upload a Html5 published file to our LMS.  I have the auto play option selected. Is there a setting I need to change or is this a new feature. Attched is the launch page that now displays.If it is not possible to remove this page, is it possible to edit the image.Also I have tried to edit by deselecting Auto Play and selectiing an image - however this does not seem to work when previewing in html5.    

I am trying to figure out the right resolution size for a new client.  They haven't picked a LMS yet and the modules are initially going to an outside customer who is running SuccessFactors (but I have no access and they don't have a set resolution size). The output will be HTML5, which should be rescalable.  This is not a responsive project. The application that is being captured in this training is very wide and I don't want scrolling.  I am thinking about 1280x 720 with a capture size of 1280 x 638.  Do I need to be worried about the playbar width  - I don't plan on overlaying it.  Where can I get the size in pixels of the width? Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi - I have a captivate project with a video inserted from vimeo, and a learning interaction on top as an overlay. I did a "Publish for Devices," as HTML5 and xAPI. But when I insert this into a lesson in a course in my LMS (LearnDash, using a wordpress plugin called Tin Canny Uploader, and try to then play it, I just see a black box, yet the "Play" indicator is moving, as if the video were playing. Then it stops at the right time and shows the Learning Interaction. I can click on that and it behaves as expected. But then when I click the "Play" button again, the black box returns, and the same behaviour on the play bar, where I can see the play bar progressing as if the video is playing.However, when I upload an html5 scorm version of the same captivate file to my LMS, the video plays just fine.Any advice appreciated - this is very puzzling. Kelly

Issue You are unable to download characters from Assets > Characters > Discover. You keep seeing the blank screen, as shown below:   Solution Windows Clean Preferences: Go to Captivate installed folder-> Utils. Run the file CleanPreferencesWin. Delete the following folders from C:\Users\Public\Documents\Adobe\eLearning Assets: 11_5 Content Characters_11_5 Interactions_11_5 Layouts_11_5 Install the latest version of Captivate: Launch Adobe Captivate. Click Help > Check for Updates. Install the update, if any. macOS Clean Preferences: Go to Captivate installed folder-> Utils. Run the file CleanPreferencesMac. Delete the following folders from C:\Users\Public\Documents\Adobe\eLearning Assets: 11_5 Content Characters_11_5 Interactions_11_5 The folder 11_5 from Documents > My Adobe Captivate Projects > Layouts. I have a one slide project, with a one-minute multi-slide synchronized video. I have two buttons that appear after 10-seconds, and pause the slide/video. If the user clicks button A, the action is set to 'continue' and the slide/video begins to play from where it left off. HOWEVER, if the user clicks button B, I want the action to jump the user ahead on the timeline to the 45-second mark. Is there a way to accomplish this using advanced actions?

Hey. I've read that there is no an option to import PP to responsive captivate projects.However, when I try to do this it doesn't allow me. The option is greyed out (see photo).Any suggestions as to why this is happening? I'm working with a MacOS Catalina.

I have created a Virtual Reality project.When I publish the ouptu and view Index.html5 file, it shows up in black background. Hence the content is not visible.However, when I preview the output or open the output through the dialog that appears soon after publishing [Do you want to open the output?]; it displays with correct background.  This way, I need to every time generate the output to view it correctly. I cannot rely on the Index.html5 file to open the output.  

I'm trying to post a reusable asset in adobe elearning community, but can't. I only see upload media button. Isn't there another button you are supposed to see to upload a cptx or zip?thanks,Kelly

Hey guys!I'm having a hard time getting around this responsive design issue. Maybe you can help me. I have a landscape, fullscreen, embeded video on stage. I need it to always be horizontally centered on any screen, and at 100% height.Which means, in landscape, it will basically display the whole video.However, in portrait, it should cut off the sides, keeping only what fits in the middle, when the height is at 100%. I tried all the settings I could think of using the breakpoint views. Nothing worked. Any ideias?

I am using Captivate 2019 11.5.1.499 This has worked without issue until today. Whenever I try to paste something Captivate just crashes.  I have tried this on different modules, and after a PC reset.  Any ideas, I have read that changing to Administrator settings helps but why now?  It just says Adobe Captivate suffered a fatal error. Many thanks in advance for any suggestions.

My company pushed the Adobe Captivate Voices Neospeech Voices v8 to my laptop.  The Adobe Captivate Voices 8 x64 file is in my Program Files along with the Adobe folder.  However, I still receive the same message, "You have not installed NeoSpeech voices" when I'm in Captivate 2019. How do I get it to recognize the files?   

I created a course in Captivate 2019 with non graded Knowledge Check Questions and a graded Quiz. I tried it in SCORM Cloud and it worked with no issues. The grade I received on the Quiz matched the report generated at the end. I then published it and uploaded the Zipped SCORM file to our LMS, Target Solutions (which supports SCORM 1.2). I went through the course, took the test and received my immediate score of 100% at the end. But when I received the generated report from Target Solutions it showed that I had received a score of 80% on the quiz. Does anyone have any ideas why there would be that discrepancy?
