I am sitting for the Adobe Certified Captivate 2019 Specialist Online Exam this morning. I was wondering if anyone has gone through this program and what the scope of the exam will look like. I have completed the online training which took about 25+ hours to complete.Naturally, I am not asking for specific questions, I am just looking for an idea as to the depth of testing that will occur. Adobe had to put this online certification together quickly I imagine due to the cancellation of their in-person options. So there isn't a lot of detail as to what will be included on the exam.The proctored exam is only 90 minutes long so I can't imagine we will be expected to test on anything other than a broad proficiency on the entire scope of functionality. But I do not know so that is why I am reaching out.One benefit is that the exam, while proctored, is open book so I can use the two legal pads of notes (if I can read my own writing).Any insight from members who have recently taken the exam (o

Hi, I had installed a licensed version of Captivate 2019 on my system using an account in year 2019. However, the member ship expired and now i tried installing a trail version using another account (different from previous account). The installation of the software completes but the Captivate doesnt open and still shows me Memembership Expired message. Please note that the trail and licensed version were installed on the same system. I tried logging in using the new id and accepted the license agreement and after that Captivate closes itself. How can i resolve the error and start using the trail version using the new ID? 

Is there any way to remove the "Adobe Captivate" that's listed in this alert box? I can't seem to find any options or workarounds.

Error I am getting is this when I try to download the free 30 day trial again - "You don't have permission to access "http://trials3.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/CPTV/11/win64/Captivate_2019_x64_LS21.exe" on this server."Reference #18.475e2117.1589643849.19a2f174How crazy is this? Isn't this supposed to be a simple dowload trial. How complicated and inefficient can things get?Please help running out of patience. RegardsAkashM 

Hi - I have one 2.5 minute video on the 2nd of 3 slides. Slides 1 and 3 don't have video. When I click on "Preview, Project," it plays fine for about 15 second, but then a "Loading" message comes up for about 45 seconds. I cannot stop the play or do anything.Advice?Thanks!Kelly PS This is inside one of the standard adobe templates for responsive design. I made a copy of a slide in the template with video, then deleted the template video and inserted my own video.

Hi. Hoping someone can help me.  I'm filling in for an employee that normally builds our training presentations. Basically, each slide has an imported Mp4 and Mp3 (I split the audio/video to get the closed captioning to work). It wasn't until I previewed it in HTML5, that I realized I have no way of stopping the audio. Meaning...if I hit the stop or pause buttons, the video stops but the audio keeps going.  And, I thought I was doing so well until this point.  Really hoping to correct this.  Thanks for any help/advice you can provide. 

Hello All, I have created a Multi-SCO Packager in Captivate 2019. I have tested it in SCORM cloud, it works all fine theer. But in my LMS (Company's inhouse LMS) its not allowing me to upload. So I was trying to figure out the lauch file. Does  anyone here has the idea?Below is the screen shot of the package contents: 

Forgive me if this is a duplicate - I thought I submitted this yesterday, but I don't see it up in the community..... I have several courses which I've published as SCORM for use through our LMS. I've now been asked to republish them as HTML5 so that we can post them on an internal web server. The idea here is that we have new customers who do not yet have an active login to our LMS, who would benefit from some pre-training prior to coming onboard. After working with Adobe support, I was directed to this support page: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/captivate/using/report-quiz-results-internal-server.html I changed the Edit>Preferences>Quiz>Reporting tab so that it has the box checked to Enable reporting for this project and for the LMS field chose Internal server. Hi All,Today I am experiencing an anomoly like never before where I am unable to edit text font/size on existing objects in an existing project under construction.  This function was working just fine yesterday (05/14 PST), but today (05/15 PST) it's a "no can do" (which is extremely roadblocking my workflow).  Is anyone else experiencing this anomoly? (I have a hunch that an Adobe Server(s) somewhere is malfunctioning or needs a reboot).   This is a screen snip of what it looks like when I try to edit an existing text entry today -But when I insert an all new text caption, it looks like what I should be seeing when editing an existing text entry - This project already has umpteen development hours into it, so of course I am not willing to contemplate redoing all of the existing text entries (that would be a ridiculous waste of time). What is going on here?  Is anyone else having this issue today?  I suspect it is an Adobe server issue that has surfac

This is the first time I am publishing a course to HTML5 using Captivate 2019. I have set all my click boxes to show a Hand cursor on click. This is not working in the published file. I have spoken to Captivate Support and was told that because I had some interactions that were not supported in HTML5 that was causing the issue. However, I have removed all interactions that are not supported and still have the issue.Please advise what I need to do to fix this.

I have posted this in the discussion section. Called adobe directly and sat through chat waits and still no help. Going on day 5 and no replies from Adobe with assistance. Here is my original post.(again started the day with zero points again)  I am trying to earn points on this website (elearning.adobe.com) but for some reason it is not teaching my point progress. I have tried 4 different devices and 3 different browsers. it does not retain point totals accumulated yesterday. I go back in to my comments on the posts and when I click my name there is someone different. Please Help!!

I have created a quiz and have 3 (max) attempts to clear the quiz. However, when the end user takes the quiz and closes the browser in between, it counts as first attempt. it is only when the user submits the quiz and fails the counter moves to 2. So, is there a way or script in captivate where I can  count and restricts them even when a user closes the browser or toggles between pages while attempting the quiz. Since the quiz starts from the point where the user had left/closed the browser and the timer starts from begining.

I have strange requirment. I have created clickables branched to particular slides, now when the user has clicked all the clickables I want the user to jump to an assessment slide that I have created. I know that this requires a lot of advanced actions which I tried, but nothing seems working. Can anybody please suggest a workaround.

Hi, I created a pretest using the below link, However, although the command takes me back to the begining of the retest (since I failed), I am unable to answer it again.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39GwWqjDz4Q Is this because I have given 1 attempt only? If I change this to infinate, It asks me to keep trying till I get it right on the same slide and not allow me to move next, this defeats the purpose of the whole branching.  Any insights?

Alright my new problem seems even weirder than the last. I have three pages in my document that when exported appear completely blank / white in the browser.On each of these pages there are or more buttons and they seem to still be there (just invisible) as I can click them and they execute their actions just fine. This is only the case when entering the slide in a regular way, like clicking a button to "Go to next slide" on the previous page.If I jump to the specific time in the Captivate timeline the pages load just fine. When expecting the pages I have gotten this warning message pointing at the CPXHRLoader.js:unreachable code after return statementThe other two error messages I have gotten once, but haven't been able to replicate it since can be seen here: Some of my observations: - All of these pages include some Javascript on entering the slide. - My other pages including Javascript on entering the slide, don't cause this issue - There is not a singl

simple , saved adobe project with 1 slide, only addition is a preloader image in prefernces, peoject, start and edn Image does not appear in browser upon preview or publish. Had this working originally , does  it have something 2 do  with a saved adobe template project? or is there a setting not permitting this to load? also I cannot load it here The attachment's test_preloader.cptx content type (application/x-captivate) does not match its file extension and has been removed. why? 

Hello, we're looking into purchasing a tablet to draw and annotate on our powerpoint slides via Cp. Does anyone use a tablet PC instead of a drawing tablet for this? Although most educators seem to be using a drawing tablet, we thought a tablet PC (or an iPad) would be a more versatile tool.Thanks,

Hello. I am building a responsive project in Captivate and got UseWidget7 = 1 all the time cuz I have used web objects behind elements often. I inserted a webobject into responsive project and it was not clickable, just frozen video with a play button that cannot be clicked. I then reinstalled captivate and the video started playing on button, so I thought the problem was solved, but it was playing becouse the UseWidget7 was restarted during reinstallation back to 0, so my webobjects appeared on top. When I changed back the UseWidget7 to 1 I started facing the same problem with "frozen" web object.Had anyone faced the same issue maybe?

Hello,A coworker has created a basic quiz in Captivate 8 (MC/TF).  We use Skillsoft as our LMS provider and when we run SCORM reports on her courses, some of her questions report as the default text in Captivate (i.e. insert question here) rather than the actual text in her questions (see example below):This is how the question appears in our report: M4A_Q1_Type_the_question_hereWhen it really should include the text from the above image.  This only behaves like this for certain questions, as others (which are much longer) report perfectly fine.Example: M4A_Q2_Which_of_the_following_Federal_regulations_applies_to_Standard_(Level)_and_Extended_Standard_(Level)_repayment_plans_What could be causing this behavior? I had her save before publishing out of Captivate and test again, with the same results. I'm having her create this from scratch in case anything was corrupt, but this is causing a huge problem for her. Any advice?

Hi everyone, my name is Sandra and I am using captivate for a few years now. I'm experimenting with advanced actions. I created a slide with 5 buttons with interaction (click and reveal) and advanced actions. The company that I work for wants each button clickable one at the time in order (forcing navigation, no skipping). So if the user clicks button 1, button 2 cannot be click until the narration for button 1 is done. And so on and so for. So my question is, How to disable a button for a period of time? So far I was able to do the order but not the timing? See screenshot. I appreciate any help, thank you.     

I created a multitrack mix in Audition with a voice track and audio track and exported it to a wav file.  When I play the file in Audition it is crystal clear.  When I import that audio into Captivate 2019 there is a hiss on the music track.  I have tried using different background music tracks and I get the same result.  Sounds perfect in Audition but hisses in Captivate.

I have several courses which I've created and successfully uploaded to our corporate LMS. We now would like to offer new customers (before they join us and have an LMS login) to be able to complete these courses in preparation for coming on board. The plan is to take my courses and share them via a URL which would be sent on a one-off basis to these future users. At the suggestion of Adobe chat support, I've tried editing preferences for the course by going to Quiz > Reporting and the selecting Enable reporting for this project with the LMS option set to Internal Server. Then I clicked Configure and tried entering both the URL and the IP address for the server holding the courses.  But when they load the courses, they say it never works. Has anyone else had this situation? I feel like I'm just missing something obvious... Part of my problem is also that because of Covid, we have furloughed several employees so the person who is loading to the website keeps tellin

Hello, I'm using Captivate 2017 and have implemented fill-in-the blank Knowledge Check questions in my project. However, when I test out the FIB feature I notice that clicking tab doesn't necessarily take me to the next FIB box. Am I able to establish the tab order for these FIB boxes?

I am using variables to apply the date to the course, but the client would like 05/08/2020 and the different date formats I've tried in variables will not give me the 0 in front of the day, if needed.  Is this possible?

I'm on Captivate 2019 update 11.5.1.  When trying to embed a vimeo link I get stuck at the loading process. It loads to 100% and then stops. I'm forced to cancel to get out of it, and get a message "Video encountered an internal error."This has been happening on my PC, but others are able to complete the process on a Mac with the same vimeo link. Any ideas?
