Hello.I have a project using the font Effra from Adobe Creative Cloud, I am able to build the course using the font, but when I publish it i see the project in Times New Roman. My Adobe Fonts domain is set up as *.enaspot.com and the sample is uploaded on this link: http://elearning.enaspot.com/Test/PWL335%20Advanced%20DVB%20Troubleshooting/index.htmlOn other hand, I've built a non responsive, "blank" project with the same font used from adobe fonts, and the adobe fonts domain field was disabled on publishing no matter i used adobe fonts and I was able to view the properly without any issue on any device. It's my first time using adobe CC so I am not familiar how it should work.

I'm using Open Sans but when I preview or publish the project it changes to Times New Roman. It worked fine 2 weeks ago (for months) but now it isn't. It's a web-safe font and I haven't changed any setting in the past 2 weeks. HELP!!

Am importing PowerPoint Slides into Captivate and am unable to get it to work. I get below error:

I have Retain Text unchecked but published project retains and displays a list of all my previous text entry attempts.This is confusing in simulations because learner won't understand why they see this where list shows all my previous attempts.How do I clear this so my learners don't see list of previous attempts? Thanks

Hey again guys! Still deep into figuring out what is and isn't possible with Captivate so bear with me with all the questions. 🙂 So right now playing with a setup with a web object window that shows when you click a button. It more or less looks like a popup that would appear on a website to collect contact info. It hangs over the main project and pauses it while it displays. You enter an email, submit, and it shows a thank you page before redirecting back to the email sign up after a few seconds. But because it's an embedded object, the window stays on screen and the user has to manually close it out to resume the project, where ideally it'd hide itself after submission. Is this somehow possible through javascript, where a thank you page URL triggers a script to hide the window? Or will it always need to be manually closed out?

HI, We purchased Captivate and have been using it to create demo's. We are doing an in house, intranet class and I want to record it, so that I can edit it later. Do I need to put the full version of Captivate on this PC?? Or is there a way to record the class without the full version installed? Thanks!

Not sure why my employees do this but I have several swf files linked. At end of each file there is a button that opens the other swf file. It works fine. The problem is so some folks instead of going through the file or selecting the hime button to go back to the table of contents of swf files drags the control bar to the end where all the buttons are gone. Why is this? Is there a way around it? The properties of the buttons do not allow "resl of movie" it only allows "rest of slide" which I have selected. Thanks

I'm just learning Captivate...so, when I'm recording (set at full motion 800x600) I make my way throught the clicks and such. Then when previewing the movie, not all the elements are lining up. For example, I click on one icon and it appears that I'm clicking on the one next to it. Sometimes, there doesn't even appear to be an icon to click on, yet there should be. It looks like there is a lag time along with a lack of registration (print term). Any ideas? I just read that full-motion is only for short bursts...not sure if this would cause all these issues.

I am running into issues with my Captivate file... I read to make is smaller since captivate doesn't deal well with larger files. I tried to do an import taking only a portion of the slides, about 50... the new SMALLER movie has a larger file size than the old LARGER movie. I have deleted slides, imported, exported, etc. It seems any time I make an edit in Captivate the file size gets larger rather than smaller even though I am removing slides. Any suggestions? I am still running 1188, waiting for the IT folks to come and install the update but wasn't sure if this problem is addressed.

I can't get my results page to show any data. I have two courses that are exactly the same one shows the results page and one does not. To make things even more interesting when the results pags shows at the end of the quiz it is showing a failure message that doesn't jive with the message found in the quiz manager/quiz/show score at end of quiz/fail message. I have added new question slides and hid all the previous slides and the same issue continues, even the funny failure message!!!! My project deadline is here, I need help!!!

HiI am creating a project in captivate, i have laid buttons on top of an image but when the resolution changes or the project is published to another device the position of the buttons relative to the image changes. can i lock their position?? any help appreciated.

Hi... just spent the last hour trying to debug some JS code so hopefully this will save someone the headache:Under the Properties tab, in the Actions panel lies a button called "Script_Window" which is where we're supposed to be able to enter own our javascript.I found out the hard way that Javascript comments are not welcomed in this script window. Once it encounters these comments in your code it stops processing all together, not just that specific line of code. Captivate 9 vers 9.0.2.421 on Mac OSX 10.11.6

Hi, I want my Captivate project to remember hotspots placed into a 360 slide that have been clicked if the hotspots are set as 'Must View Once' and they leave and revisit the slide. Is there a way for this to be done? Mark

Hi Guys,  My Captivate 2017 and 2019 are crashing when I try to use TTS. I'm using Paul's voice. It's plain text being extracted from Note Pad.Captivate keeps crashing and alerting Fatal Error. Does anybody know this error and how I can fix it?Thank you, Rafael

Hello there...any idea how to toggle a background track on/off? According to my timeline: Music starts with the 1. Slide, but as a background track. It is not embedded on that slide. On 3. slide there is a pause/play button, which should toggle on/off the Music as well as pausing/playing the project. What i have is this advanced action. Music starts again, (which could be solved actualy better...) but it does notstop...  

Using Captivate 11.5.4.613 - This is currently up to date. BackgroundI have button on slide that runs an Advanced Action. When certain conditions are met, the action will jump to a slide. On other pages, a very similar button exists that, when certain conditions are met, will go to the next slide. Hi All,I want to show the progress bar, but disable users from being able to use it to jump to other slides. I did find some Javascript fromhttps://medium.com/@barsh/adobe-captivate-javascript-hacks-to-disable-playbar-slider-mark-all-slides-viewed-c26cff093017that seemed to work, but when QAing in browsers like Firefox, old Edge, etc it doesn't seem to work and users can jump slides with the progress bar. The script does seem to work in Chromium based browsers like Chrome, new Edge, and also IE. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Hello, I have one more problem with my current project: Using Smart Shapes as buttons seems great and is technically working fine for me, however there are two issues:- For some reason the color I picked for the text in my smart shape appears to be slightly different from the same text with the same color set on a regular button.- I have defined the look of my RollOver state and it technically works, but only if I move my mouse over the button slowly, movements that are quicker and end on top of the button seem to not trigger the state change. On regular buttons it works fine. In this case, I would be happy to just use regular buttons, except for one reason:- Regular buttons seem to not allow me to change my line spacing and some of my buttons will have two lines of text. With the standard spacing the descenders and ascenders of my letters will slightly overlap.

I have a series of pre-existing mp4s created using another platform. Eventually, I want to build a proper software simulation project for each of them, but I'd like to pull off and Early Win by bringing them into Captivate and adding captions. Is this something that can be done?

I am using State View to create rollover text boxes for HTML5, so the user rolls over an area and a description is displayed.  Works very well.  However, it seems my only option is to use a text caption to display the text (unless I want to create multiple images), and none of the backgrounds seem to work, so all I have is plain white.  Regardless of which caption background I use, it is very washed out.  This would not be so bad, except I am showing this in a software simulation, and the screen background is predominently white, so the caption sort of blends into the background. Is there a way to do this differently? Thanks.
