Hi All,I want to show the progress bar, but disable users from being able to use it to jump to other slides. I did find some Javascript fromhttps://medium.com/@barsh/adobe-captivate-javascript-hacks-to-disable-playbar-slider-mark-all-slides-viewed-c26cff093017that seemed to work, but when QAing in browsers like Firefox, old Edge, etc it doesn't seem to work and users can jump slides with the progress bar. The script does seem to work in Chromium based browsers like Chrome, new Edge, and also IE. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Using Captivate 2019 in Windows 10.I'm devising a flyout box that's supposed to slide out from behind the picture when you click a button, and then slide back under when you click again. Here's what I've set up: Custom action to slide out left to rightCustom action to slide in right to leftA group containing four items;two shapes with text (using different colors for the two) that will be hidden behind the picturea third shape with text containing the word "Info" which is sticking out to the right of the picture, connected to the right of the other two boxesA transparent button exactly going over the third shape listed aboveAn advanced action including a variable to match the state of the group (0 if hidden, 1 if shown)If the button is clicked it checks the value of the variable. Hello, I have one more problem with my current project: Using Smart Shapes as buttons seems great and is technically working fine for me, however there are two issues:- For some reason the color I picked for the text in my smart shape appears to be slightly different from the same text with the same color set on a regular button.- I have defined the look of my RollOver state and it technically works, but only if I move my mouse over the button slowly, movements that are quicker and end on top of the button seem to not trigger the state change. On regular buttons it works fine. In this case, I would be happy to just use regular buttons, except for one reason:- Regular buttons seem to not allow me to change my line spacing and some of my buttons will have two lines of text. With the standard spacing the descenders and ascenders of my letters will slightly overlap.

I have a series of pre-existing mp4s created using another platform. Eventually, I want to build a proper software simulation project for each of them, but I'd like to pull off and Early Win by bringing them into Captivate and adding captions. Is this something that can be done?

I am using State View to create rollover text boxes for HTML5, so the user rolls over an area and a description is displayed.  Works very well.  However, it seems my only option is to use a text caption to display the text (unless I want to create multiple images), and none of the backgrounds seem to work, so all I have is plain white.  Regardless of which caption background I use, it is very washed out.  This would not be so bad, except I am showing this in a software simulation, and the screen background is predominently white, so the caption sort of blends into the background. Is there a way to do this differently? Thanks.

I noticed today that if I have randomize answers selected, the choices are randomized on screen but the accessilbility descriptions don't randomize. In other words, the description read doesn't match the selected choice. Anyone else notice this? Suggestions for a fix that still allows randomization?

I created a short project with quiz questions, and am having 2 problems.The first slide has a text input box with the submit button turned on.  Students enter their name which will populate the certiciate of completion at the end with a variable.  This works, however it is possible to click the submit button without entering anything in the text input field.  I have played with actions, at one point I got it to pause but entering in the text field would not enable movement to the next screen.  How do I get the submit button to only continue when the text box is filled in?The certificate of completion has month day and year on it, with a variable.  The current date variable displays in numbers, and locale current date varies based display based on computer settings.  How do I get the date to have the month spelled out and then day and year?Thanks!

I am on a Macbook Pro with OSX 10.14.4. It gets hung up on start, I'm unsure whats wrong.

I have downloaded the NeoSpeech voices from within Captivate, but the voices are not showing up.

Could I get some help how I can review the quiz results immediatley after quiz is taken? I also want to know if I can print those results to put it on the file as hard copt record.

Using Cp 2019, I am tasked with building a simple questionnaire but 2 of the requirements are conflicting.  Requirement A: User should be able to "go back" and change an already answered questionRequirement B: Project must send question text and answer text (learner_response) to LMS If I use Cp's quiz functionality, I can accomplish Requirement B - we have tested this successfully. But I cannot satisfy Requirement A. Cp does not allow one to change an already answered question.If I create a custom quiz, I can satisfy Requirement A, but I don't know how to get the question text and answer text reported to the LMS. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi there,I am imitating a tablet slider with a Drag and Drop interaction (see the image).- The draggable object is a smart shape with an image fill - the hand in red in the image.- The drop area is a transparent shape - the green circle in the image.- On success and On failure are both "Go to the next slide"This is how the user "browses though pages".All good, but the issue is that the draggable object can be moved high up or left and can even disappear from the screen. I have ticked the "Redrag the droped source" option. It works well as flash file, but as HTML 5 the draggable object can be moved more...I was thinking - is there a way to limit the movement of the draggable horizontally only?Thanks in advanceB

Hi, we create eLearning courses with quiz-slides in the Captivate.Usually we use different types of questions on different slides. 1) Now we need to organize 5 quiz-questions (true/false) on the same slide.How can we use different groups of radio-buttons for every question? 2) If we use for this task a partial score quiz with check-boxes for different questionsand set negative points for wrong answers, the Captivate shows a result with negative percentsin case of all wrong answers. It looks like a bug from the mathematic side.Can we fix some internal variable to set it to zero in case it is less then zero?Something like that: if (cpPercent < 0) cpPercent = 0; 

I have a subscription licence for captivate, but cant download the app.  Its not on my cloud app.  My only option is download a trial or pay again.I work for a large organisation and the order was paid for by procurement.    Any ideas? cheersS

I created a set of quiz questions in Captivate 2019, now have to create a Spanish version of the quiz. I changed the quiz labels in quiz preferences. Is there any way now of having he updated labels show without having to create a new slide for each and copy/paste to get the spanish version of each label to display? Also, is there anywhere I can change the 'Question x' text at the top so I can have this in Spanish too?

Hello,I am facing an issue while publishing the course in HTML/SWF. I am able to preview the full course in Captivate 2019. We have used web objects and video files in our developed course. I added some text entry boxes to a Captivate 2017 project. They allow entry, and the text shows up later in the project where I wnat it to. One issue - I allow the user up to 300 letters. I have created a nice square text box that would easily display this much text. However, when I make an entery in the box in the published project, the box acts as though it is a short narrow text box so the text being entered quickly starts to disappear form the user's view. When it appears later in the project, it is all there, and even displays on multiple lines. Is there any way that I can get the text to display in the full constraints to the text box while the user is entering it?

We are doing slides with animations in them and when they are published and html is launched there is a delay on the slides with animations that allows the rest of the timeline to start and run which brings up the NEXT button that isn't supposed to be until after the animation is over.  Also once the animation is over the slide will auto advance to the next slide when the timeline is complete (in this case 10 seconds) rather than staying there until the next button is pressed.When we publish the project to a computer we don't have this issue.  When we publish it to a share drive and we access it through the internet is when we have the issue.

1 - We create e-learning solutions for schools + have just downloaded captivate2 - Can we upload the videos to You Tube as I can't have these videos on my website.3 - I could upload to You Tube and would need to embed the address in my LMS.HOWEVERWhen you export the video it comes with other folders. I can't upload those folders to You Tube. So do companies put all their videos on their own sites. That's a lot of traffic through my website per month if I have 1000+ students watching the videos. Thanks in advance for any help.

I have a very basic project with a video presentation. At the end of the video there is a 10 question quiz. If the participant fails the quiz there is a slide with two buttons, one which prompts them to retake the quiz and another which prompts them to rewatch the video.When I preview this project from Captivate, the buttons perform the correct actions. When I test it from a server the butons also work as intended. The client has tested it on their Workday Environment and the buttons also work as intended there. The problem arises when people take the test from the company LMS. They are reporting issues getting the quiz to launch again once they've rewatched the video. I have checked the settings and actions for both buttons and cannot identify the issue. Is it possible that this is a problem with the LMS and not the project? Are there any known instances of incongruence between Captivate and an LMS

Hello, i have a problem with star record in the adobe presenter.

I’m having problems with a quiz slide.  This slide is set up for the user to select 4 correct options.  When I preview this slide, it works fine for me. However, when I try publishing it, I can’t select one of the correct options, and thus I can't answer the quiz correctly. Has anyone ever had this issue or have any idea how to resolve this?

I am working on my first captivate project, and I ran across this problem:I have a multi-state Smarktshape-Button. It's a simple rectangle with a text on top. both change colors depending on the integrated state roll-over.This button is then hidden / made visible with a different button in my navigation.By default it is not visible and is both marked as invisible in the object's properties (eye icon next to its name) and in the timeline. It is however set to show for "rest of project" due to its link with the navigation. So far everything works fine. My problem is that this only hides the rectangular shape of the button but not the text in my project view. When publishing the project everything works as expected, but while working on the project I have the text of the button square in the middle of my project at all times which is rather annoying.In this state it behaves as if it was invisible as it's not clickable, but it never disappears. Just that really. I spent yesterday afternoon trying to fix my project which was skipping a fill-in-the-blank question when published to a Totara LMS using SCORM 1.2. This morning I published it using my second machine, which hasn't had the hotfix installed yet, and it worked first time. (No, I'm not going to remove then re-install the hotfix on the first machine to confirm this.)
