Hello there, I have a question.  Is it possible to override the player in a way that [forward] on the player is not just always the next slide?What I'm making is a very simple elearning with some chapters. I made a chapter menu with buttons. The buttons go to the first slides of a chapter. For example: button one goes to slide 4. Button two to slide 16. Button 3 to slide 30. Etc. But I need slide 29 (last slide of chapter two) to return to the chapter menu. But I' m using the regular player/skin thing. Also I'm using the infamous click box to prevent progressing to the next slide automatically. This was posted by me on the elearning adobe blog website earlier. Hi all, Am looking to develop a piece of eLearning that allows students to interact with pictures on screen and have the ability to draw on what they see. Is there any plugin or external piece of software that I could use to have this function within Captivate? ATM I can only forsee having to create a custom package/page that will have to be hardcoded into the output package, that is a separate to what Captivate outputs... then 'stitch it together'... if this is even possible. Thoughts?? how can I add multiple checkboxes on a PowerPoint slide import to serve as acknowledgment That users have read the rules and checked each box? I NEED HELP ASAP. The change state worked but the slides kept advancing before All the boxes were checked. 

when i try to preview my project it shows creating assets after that nothing happens,please help me in finding the solution. 

I am using latest version of Captivate 2019.I want assign value to variable on slide end. For the this i am checking currentframe value for the validate.See below Screengrab for more information.

I have a video demo that I want to add audio narration to. I trimmed a few places in the video to remove some dead time, and now when I record audio the video stops at the point where I did the first trim.I am able to keep recording audio but the video has completely stopped.How can I get past this?Thanks!

Hi- I am using this version of Adobe Captivate: 2019 release version 11.5.4.613 on a MacBook Pro running Catalina 10.15.4.  When I try to record a software simulation, no matter where I put the red box, regardless of what application I select to record, it only records screenshots of my desktop.  I've tried looking help solutions up on the Adobe website, in my 2019 Captivate training manual, and YouTube.  They all give the same instructions which I follow precisely.  What am I doing wrong?Thanks!

I have the most up to date version of captivate (no patches). I can't publish a file I created - the only option I am given is to publish as HTML5. The options to publish as a video or to Youtube are not enabled. Please advise.    [Moved from Community Help (which is about the forums) to a better forum... Using ver2019Some projects are not letting me rearrange order of slides in filmstrip, some will. I usually can simply drag and drop to place them in correct order similar to PowerPoint. What am i doing wrong? I am learning this product so please keep response simple. thank you

I have inserted a link to Vimeo as interactive video but couldn't find any place to add Closed Captions to sync with this video. Your help are great appreciated.

I am in the process of creating training materials for my company. We have the trial version of Adobe Captivate, and Adobe Captivate Prime. We are trying to find a way to use the projects we are creating in the Adobe Captivate software with the Adobe Captivate Prime learning center. After looking around on the Prime website, I cannot find a way to upload my own project. Is this possible? How?

Hi everyone, i have Problem with my Master slide. The Mute and Subtitle buttons on my navigation bar are functioning well but they do not change their state contuniously until the next click. I have a conditional If/else advanced action on them which actualy works perfectly fine in a normal slide. I guess, thats becouse i can create one extra state as "selected" in a normal slide. There is sadly no option for creating one extra state in a master slide, is there? In this case integreted states are not enough, is there any other way you know to solve this problem? Sancak

Captivate 2019 project published in HTML5 when you click on the click box a box appears on the screen.  This also happens when you click on other objects on the screen, transparent text boxes and buttons, for example.

Hello,Is there any way to record a secondary monitor with presenter video express 11?  I am recording a power point and software simulations and I would like to do so on a secondary blank monitor rather than having my desktop show every time I need to make a transition between programs during recording.  I cannot find any options within video express 11 to select which monitor it is using for recording, and when I record with my desktop extended to 2 displays it will only record the main monitor.  Please let me know if there is any way to have video express 11 record the second monitor instead of the main monitor, and thank you in advance.

Hello Folks, I'm using Captivate 2019 and Office 365.  I've created 2 ppt files (ext pptx) and when I try to import them, I receive a message that says "Unable to import Microsoft PowerPoint presentation.  The file may be damaged."  Any ideas how I can correct this problem? Do I need to save as a ppt file instead?  Thanks,Carl S.

Hi, I'm having an issue with tab order in a menu I've created. I can verify that the tab order is correct when previewing, but publishing throws everything out of whack.  I've tried changing my publishing settings. Any ideas as to what the cause may be?

Hi, I am creating a Captivate template for my upcoming project. I have defined all elements in my slide master including custom navigational buttons - Replay slide, Closed Caption, Play/Pause, Back and Next button. States are added for CC and Play/Pause as Toggle. However when I preview the slide, button states are not changing but functionality is working. But when I move all these navigational elements from master slide to individual slide, all states are working. Although this solves the issue, the system hangs every time I copy-paste navigational buttons for each slide. In the masterslide, I have seen that custom states option is disabled just inbuilt state is available. Can anyone suggest a workaround.

I am using PowerPoint 2003 SP3 and when I try to use any Adobe Presenter menus, I get the error message: Adobe Presenter is unable to read the narration for this presentation. The following file is incomplete or invalid: C:\ ....... \Media.ppcx Adobe Presenter must remove the invalid file to continue loading. Adobe Presenter was unable to remove the file. I am using Presenter 7.02 I have tried brand new presentations from blank templates in multiple folders. Has anyone seen this error before? Best regards Colin Davis

Is NeoSpeech the only option for text-to-speech integration with Captivate? I am specifically using Cap9.

Hi,I have two branching sections in my captivate 2019 project in which I want to use a "played once" script. The first one works well: _played is equal to 0,play audio (file inserted)assigned played with 1 When I go to the second branched menu, I try to use the same script with a different auido file. However, it never plays the audio. Do I need to change the script?  If so, how? Ideas? Thanks!

For some reason when I try to utilize or download the character assets, this is what I get.  Any ideas? Computer has been restarted, updates have been done.
