Hello Captivate Community,My customer is wanting the ability to email all the course resource documents (course pdfs) to the learner. They prefer that the functionality be provided in the course with a button press that allows the user to just enter their email address or pull the email address from the user's information and it sends everything without further input from the learner. They are willing to have this as just a final download at the end as well if that is the only way to add this in. I have tried using advanced actions and setting up email templates to get this to work, but have not been successful. What seems to happen is either a) there is no place to add in attachments in the email template (or I am missing it) or, b) it only opens the email client software with a blank email ready to send. I feel like I am just missing were to do this properly, and would greatly appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction. For a project delivered in HTML5 on a desktop computer, I will need at least one slide to be 3200 pixels tall to accommodate a large amount of vertical scrolling text.  This project will be an entire high school English course. The students will be selecting from a pair of short stories, will read it, and then answer some questions about the story. I would rather not break the story into dozens of slides or make students leave Captivate, read a PDF, and come back 30 minutes later to answer questions.  How do I present a large amount of vertically scrolling text on a single page? The only vertical scroll bar text widget I can find is a tiny box that will not accommodate a 1200 word short story. Any creative solutions are welcome as I am only in the planning phase at this time.

We have a few problems we some of our courses and our LMS - due to the number of people trying to do the course to get upskilled in the current situation. We would like to add our courses as public access on our website but unfortunately, we haven't been able to find a workflow that help us.  If possible for the future it will be great to be able to publish the courses as a link that can be shared - At the moment we don't need to trace learner performances - we just need to distribute the module as much Drs and health professionals as we can - so they can get ready.any help I will appreciateThanks in advance  

I'm using Captivate 2019.  We are a small company and don't have an LMS setup.   Is it possible to email a course completion with the student info to an email address? We need to track who's completed the training. Thanks, Carl Stephenson

Hi.I am trying to update a group of images in the project library, but it does not update,The steps I follow are the following:1. I select in the library the images that I want to update.2. Access the update icon.3. I update resource path.4. I delete the old route. Where the images were before.5 I add new route.6. I update.7. And update again.Captivate tells me that the images have been correctly updated but it does not.

I am trying to merge two different captivate files. I have worked in file_1.cptx and one of my team members have worked on file_2.cptx. These are the same project. file_2.cptx has 58 slides and file_1.cptx has 59 slides because I added a custom table of content page (one more slide than the file_2.cptx).  I have changed a little in other slides like removing an advance action and adding another. At the end, the result of the merged project must be 59 slides. Is it possible to merge two files and get everything that we both have worked on?

HiAre there any reason the embedded links from youtube brake after a while.When I paste in the exakt same link again it works?When I preview using F11 the video cant be viewed and when I run the course in Scorm cloud I get this message. It links to scormcloud and not youtube.

I just downloaded Captivate11 (CP2019) only to learn my client uses CP10 (CP2017) and SABA for an LMS. They can't open anything I send. What is the best solution for my problem?   Thank you, Daryn  

I have recorded a few training mode simulations and edited them. I would like to publish them as videos, and I did that. The issue is that videos don't allow user interaction, it just plays the training simulation as if its a Demo. Besides publishing the Training Mode Simulations as HTML, how else can I publish them and still keep user interaction.

Could I add a button in my course that the user could click to get the course approved.My idea is that when the users have watched a certain amount ov videos in the course the button will be visible and the user can click it to complete the course. I need this function couse our LMS dont support XAPI and the course are not a linear course so the % or wached slide function wont work. BrRobert

HeyI created a template in Adobe Captivate 8, which I still use today in Adobe Captivate 2019. In this template I use a fixed text caption as title. When published, this title will appear in a different place, not at the top of the slide. What is possible to avoid this? Thanks in advance for the tips & tricks!

Is there anyway that using any type of adobe software you can maybe make it so that when you go on a google hangouts call and have a green screen in the background , you can have a modified and edited version of what you did On the software (chroma keg etc) and have those settings live for when you do a video chat call (using google hangouts)

Our recent eLearning courses are having issues with audio not playing on iOS devices. We export to HTML (no scorm wrapping) and ever since we started using captive 2019 we've been unable to hear the audio on iOS devices. We tested on an newer iPad and an iPhone 5. Do you know if this is an Apple issue or an Adobe issue?

Hi,So i have a customized playbar which works fine in swf and html5, and in html5 using advance actions i can hide the forward button if i need to. but the same script dont seem to work (entirely) on the flash (swf) version of the content. Unfortunatelly i still need to have the flash version active :(. Here´s the advance action in using: $("#" + "playbarSliderThumb").css("visibility","hidden");$("#" + "Forward").css("visibility","hidden");$("#" + "playbarSlider").css("pointer-events","none");$("#" + "playbarSlider").click(function() { return false; }); Now, question is, how can i send a command for example " pbcBtnForward_mc.visible = false;" to flash, from the advance actions menu, so the forward button of the playbar hides or is shown as needed. Its weird because part of the code works ok, but the playbarSlider is also in the CSS file of the project so im wondering if that has something to do with it still working even in the flash version. Hello Everybody I have a simply question related text to speech function in Captivate 2019I need to work in Spanish TTS but it is not available in the official pack provided on the follow link http://download.macromedia.com/pub/captivate/cp11/win64/Captivate_2019_x64_Neo_Content_LS21.exe I have installed also Native Windows 10 Spanish Mexico TTS in my PC, Even though Spanish is selected Captive it doesnt recognize them and record TTS in englishIn the Speech management windows the program shows language to select them but it doesnt works (see picture) I really appreciate your support in order to know how or where i can download Spanish TTS Pack add-on that works ThanksFred

Just installed Captivate because I want a way to publish my powerpoint slides to HTML5.  I can do this fine with iSpring which works within PP,  but it seems Captivate is not able to open/import pptx files.  I have a lot of animation, etc, and it seems the only way to get this to work is by saving my Power Point files as .ppt only.   Why can't Captivate import pptx files directly?  Or am I doing something wrong? 

 HelloWhen I go to publish my modules I am seeing the following message, 'Some slides or objects in this project are not supported in HTML5 format. You can locate items using window>HTML5 Tracker. Do you want to continue? What does this mean for my project? Thank you  

I have produced a software simulation over 300 slides and I have recorded a voice over attached to nearly every slide. I have saved the module as a zip file and have published it onto the LMS of choice at my place of work. But when I am playing the modules they are taking a long time to load, they keep pausing to load and the voice over is getting delayed. Can anyone think this might be, are the modules too large? Thank you,Jess

Dear Captivate Community, hope that anyone can help.When I use animated GIFs in my project (HTML5) i face two problems. With Firefox everything works fine, Chrome, IE and Edge have the problems. 1st problem: when the page of the Captivate training starts the animated GIF plays fine. When I switch page and later come back to the page with the GIF, the GIF stays "played" and is not playing again... 2nd problem: I put the same animated GIF into one page 3 times. In the timeline i let them play one after the other. My problem is that the first Animation works fine and the two following are not starting... Someone else facing this problems and maybe solved them? I hope some of this community can help. Thanks and regardsAndy
