Hello All, I'm using Captivate 5.5. The 508 compliance issue I'm having is that the Captivate-generated quiz radio buttons are not being properly read by JAWS.  The 508 finding states, "When the user selects a radio button anywhere in the course, the state of the radio buttons are not made correctly for JAWS to read.  Selected radio buttons are read as "unchecked radio button".  Has anyone experienced and overcome this issue?  How did you overcome?

I have a quiz set up with single multiple choice questions and true-false questions. For each question, if the user guesses wrong, an "incorrect" text caption appears upon clicking the "submit" button. If he or she guesses right, a "correct" text caption appears upon clicking the "submit" button. May I add audio to occur simultaneously with the "correct" text caption so that my narrator can read the "correct" caption feedback to the user? Cheers, S.

The PPT deck is 134 slides and we are receiving the attached error messages.  What is the max amount of slides that should be in one PPT deck to use the Presenter plug in to publish?

I have a project where I want students to compare two statements and then rate them (scale of 0-10) relative to each other. Is there a way to create questions so that the sum must equal 10?   

I thought I remembered seeing an answer to the question I'm going to ask, but I searched and couldn't find it. I have a slide that teaches about 8 HR policies. 4 are "do's" (things employees should do) and 4 are "don'ts" (things they should not do). I have 8 drag sources and 8 drop targets, each for one policy. As you might expect, 4 of the sources/targets are for the "do's" and 4 are for the "don'ts." I've set it up so any of the do sources can be dropped in any of the do targets. Same for the don'ts. (I don't want to force the learner to drop a source on a certain target in this learning experience.)Here's a very rough conceptual drawing:So far so good.But as I've done user testing, users are finding they can drop a source on a target where they've already dropped a source. I have a project that has several similar drag and drop interactions. The interactions are fairly simple, one to one source to target. I have the drag and drops set up so that once all of the answers are correct, the answers auto-submit. Attached to the auto-submit is an advanced action which shows one prompt and a button to advance to the next slide. Once the answer auto-submits, the reset button dissapears, which is weird but fine for this project. The issue is that the reset button dissapearing is not consistent. I have set up each of the drag and drops in the same way with the same settings for each. But when I go to preview and when I go to publish, each time a different drag and drop will not have the reset butotn dissapear. I can tell that the slide is going to keep the reset button because on arrival to page without interacting at all, the button will appear in it's rollover state. If I leave that slide and return to it, it dissapears which is fine, but how do I make sure that

I changed the incorrect message text in the Quiz preferences default failure caption style box but the change only appears for the first answer. There are four questions and the last three show the unchanged text when users select incorrect answers. How do I get the revised failure caption to appear for wrong answers on all of the questions? I'm using Captivate 2019.Dan

Hi all, I have a quiz set up with some logic to show, hide, enable or disable various buttons on the slide. There is a reset button that resets all the variables and enables all the buttons that should be enabled for the first question. However even though the reset button's advanced action says for example "enable Q1A", button Q1A does not seem to be enabled. The rollover effect using object states for the button works, but clicking the button does nothing. Can anyone suggest anything obvious that could be going wrong? The fact the states work makes me wonder if the button is actually enabled but there is something else stopping it performing it's action. The button is set to allow infinite attempts.

Hi we have been using cp guru flash widget which sends email and also saves to the database using the php script. We recently updated to html5 widget for cp guru, its not sending the email or saving to the table. IS there any configuration that i am missing?  Please help

I've been fighting with my LMS for a while about trying to get the configuration the way I want. I think I know what needs to be set now, but I still don't understand why it needs to be set that way. Hoping someone can shed some light. The course I have has a passing score set and the reporting settings are SCORM 1.2 set to "Quiz is passed".  The crux of the issue is "Incomplete -> Complete" vs. "Incomplete -> Pass/Fail" (and a little about Mastery Score). If I have it set to Pass/Fail, the score and status is passed correctly to the LMS, but it's always marked Complete, even when it's a Fail. That makes NO sense to me. Can someone explain that logic? If you fail, you haven't met the criteria for successfully completing the course. But yet my LMS marks you 'Successful' and sends you on your merry way even though you have a failing score, and removes it from your To Do list. If I have it set to "Incomplete/Complete", it does what I want - you only get

I'm using Captivate 2019 (without updates).Is it possible to Save a cptx as a cplx for responsive design?Can I make a Template that is responsive Design (fluid boxes)?

The options of the matching questions are getting truncated at the top of each letter after I pubish to HTML5. Ive' tried resizing the text on the slide, modifying the style in the object manager, changing the text alignment (left, right, center, middle, bottom, top) and nothing seems to work. It seems that each letter in the HTML5 output and png files and each image is truncated at the top. I tried to find the PNG files in the HTML output but I don't see them. Any ideas of what is causing this and how I can resolve it so the text is not truncated?

Hi all,Having a strange problem with Captivate 2019 (11.5.1.499)I have a number of text boxes on screen, when the user scales the window the text in the last text box on the right disappears at a certain scale. this is happening on a number of screens with similar layouts and its always the last text box on the right? This is as it should look, Drag the window size a few pixels bigger and I get this (see last green box is now empty)Any ideas greatly appreciated!ThanksGary 

I have a stream of audio on a slide that I want to identify within the Library. When I click on it to "Find in Library", instead it collapses that entire Properties Panel. Any ideas?It's not a big deal for me to expand the panel and it will have the audio file identified. More of a pain in the backside than anything else. Just curious if there was a fix.   We have moved into creating HTML5 Captivate projects which include MP4 video on certain slides.  Once published and uploaded to our server, the slides with video will occasionally and randomly (this will not happen all the time) “hang” up with a greyed-out  “Loading…” screen overtop.  This essentially freezes the unit and you can’t continue.  This only seems to be happening in Internet Explorer.Does anyone have any idea on how to fix this? I am using Captivate 7.I have worked through other bugs that were happening in both Chrome and Firefox, but this one still lingers in Explorer.

Can you help me have Captivate CS installer file? I have the license key, but, setup file doesn't show up on adobe website. Please guide me.

I am creating Adobe Captivate simulations of a dental software. There are many instances where it would be useful to display a date based off of todays date.  For example, tomorrow's date (today's date + 1 day) or a month ago (today's date - 1 month).I see that there are libraries out there which can simplify creating variables and populating them with calculated dates (www.datejs.com or www.momentjs.com are two I have looked at, I would welcome other recommendations on this too).I am unsure how to incorporate these external libraries into my Adobe Captivate projects. One resource I looked at said to find the standard.js file (which I found at C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 2017 x64\Templates\Publish) and add the text into the existing file. I have done that but don't seem to be getting anywhere with the custom commands these libraries offer.Using Adobe Captivate 2017 (10.0.0.192) and Windows 10 Enterprise version 1709. Hello All,This is not a question but more of an FYI. I have Captivate 8 and CC2015 running on a PC. My normal workflow for editing audio in Captivate is to go through the Audio menu > Edit > Project then launch Adobe Audition from the button in the Slides Audio window. This does not work in CC2015. The following error is given.This is a known issue which currently has no fix. Your options are:Roll back to CC2014 and await a fixEdit each clip individually by right clicking on it in the Library and selecting Edit with Audition.I opted for the former to expedite my editing process. I hope this helps anyone who may encounter the same issue.

Is there a way to revert back to thte old look of the forum? There is no way to save your prefereances when sorting enrties. Everything is reset when you refresh the screen. The color coded entries made it easy to tell what questions were answered and which ones still needed help. The layout allows for fewer entries to be displayed before scrolling. Was user feedback requested before the new layout was pushed on the user community? 

Hi, guys I am quite a new learner to Captivate and got struck with one audio problem. My scenario is that I have backgroud slide with audio to play til its end and the audience will click on 3 buttons to show more details with audio each. After finishing all 3 buttons, next button will be appeared and another summary audio will be played.The problem is that I wrote the script to command an action in order except that the last buttoned audio is not played, only the summary audio to be played. Rationally, once all 3 buttons have been clicked, the summary audio will be played but this process skips my last buttoned audio. Below is my screenshot for timeline and my script. Hello,I am working with Captivate 10 and the "integrated" voicetext text-to-speech. I have used the voicetext user dictionary already to improve/change pronounciation of words.I have some words where I would like to speed up the TTS and I would like to do this for every occurence of these words in the TTS. Obviously I could extend the TTS texts accordingly with the respective markup, e.g. <vtml_speed value=150>myword</vtml_speed>, but I prefer to have the correct text in the TTS Management, e.g. for possible translations without disturbance (i.e. the vtml markup). Addtionally it would be much easier to write the TTS if the vtml-"tagging" that has to be done repeatedly could be done "centrally".A possible solution could have been to add these words to the user dictionary but unfortunately the VTEditor resp. the UserDictionary does not accept texts as a target that include the vtml markup. Several years ago, we created a Jeopardy-style game project within Captivate. We use this template to create several games for  many different topics.  It involves several advanced actions in order for it to score and output properly.  We've been outputting it as a Flash file.  Since Flash is going away, we need to figure out a replacement.  While our LMS software can understand HTML5, Captivate 9 does not properly output our file. Several of the advanced actions are not compatable.  Does anyone know if the newer version of Captivate solves this issue?  or does anyone have another suggestion?

Hi to all.... The following error message appears when trying to "Preview/Project" "Not responding" the error mesage appears during 6 to 8 seconds, then it dissapears and allows me to preview it...(just annoying) It is something I am doing wrong or its a common issue with 2019 version? Cheers Vince

Hi to all.... Still battling with captivate 2019!! I seem to have an issue with the timeline: I have several small images that supose to be appearing every 3 seconds and a continue button that supose to appear at he end in order to continue...I have to "preview, from this slide" in order to see the changes...BUT i am unable to see the changes from "preview, play slide"is that normal? For some reason I was expecting to see any changes in the timeline without the need to "preview from this slide" Thanks guysCheck your timeline for any interactive objects that would be pausing the playback.  These objects DON'T pause the timeline when you are just using Play Slide or F3 preview (which is not really publishing the project) but WILL pause the timeline and prevent objects from appearing AFTER that point when you publish out or use one of the Preview options that also publish.
