Subsequent screens are not captured; there's no capture sound until I press End, and that one is false (Captivate doesn't actually capture the ending screen).If I uncheck the boxes in steps 2-3 above, everything works as expected (but not as desired, since I want smart shapes).Any help?

I currently have Adobe Captivate 11.0.1 installed. When I navigate to help\check for updates Adobe Captivate Updater shows 11.0.1 and states, "No New Updates", and "Your app is already up to date". However, 11.5.0 should be showing up. How can one update Captivate without using the Updater?

right now when you click the hotspot it takes you there instantly. I was wondering if there's a way maybe using java script or something else that would take you there at a warp speed very similar to how google street view works.

Hi. I am having a problem with the Show Hand Cursor On The Click Box option in my Global Preferences for both Assessment Simulation and Training Simulation recording modes. I've selected the option for both recording modes from the Global Preferences dialog, but when I close and reopen Captivate that one setting is not retained.Project Preferences seem to be working differently, as when I export those and import to another project the setting is saved.Anyone know if this is a known issue? I'd like to know if it's possibly a bug or whether there is anything I can try before I run the clean prefs utility (I'd prefer not to run that unless I know it'll fix the issue).Any info is helpful. Hi,I am trying to use Software Simulation to record a training session.However, Captivate will not record the full training but only the first screenshot. Hello,I have created a slide in a responsive project. I have converted four pictures into buttons, and would like a message box to appear when they are clicked. I would like the user to be able to click on the buttons in any order.  The buttons are set up as below:However, when I try the slide, the message boxes appear at the same time as the button. (As I have arranged the message box to appear over the button, you can't even see the button!).I have tried playing with the effects in timing for the message boxes, however, I can't get it off from 'Time-based animation'. (screenshot below)I am new to using Captivate or this (I have only ever used it for software simulations until now) Am I missing something really basic here?!

I use adobe Pro 8, and Adobe has taken their servers offline. Therefore, the recommended procedures is to enter your serial number and a new one is generated along with a download that does not require activation. I've followed the steps more than once but here's the problem: every time I run Abobe I get the Nag Screen that says I need to register. The instructions say go into help, then register, then select Never Register. First this doesn't work because the "activate" and "register" dropdowns are grayed out. This "special" version does not require "activation" but it seems to still want registration. I presume the code problem is on my side, but if it can't validate that you never want to register, it assumes you haven't answered the question. I can select, register now, register later, never register, it doesn't matter because it doesn't work. Even if the registration option wasn't grayed out, this doesn't work because there is nothing on Adobe's side to accept it. Its annoying to

hello,I do 2 interfaces in Quiz. First when I succeed , Second when I failed.  if I try the quiz in adobe captive the score work, but when I publish the project the score showed always  the first page in captivate whatever failure or success !What should I do please to solve this problem??

Hi, I am developing a project in which I wanted to use a button in a slide video so that the users can fast forward the video, as there is a long execution pause for showing an analysis of a problem. Is there any way I can create a button or object so that the users can fast forward until a quantified time? Thank you!

Hello all-I am hoping someone has an answer or at least a good suggestion. We are using Captivate version 2017, with the current update. We have 2 files, an MP4 and a SCORMzip. These are loaded into the LMS EdApp, with the MP4 being uploaded into their existing slide, and the SCORM beling  uploaded as a SCORM into their slide.We access the learning via another LMS, Sumtotal. When access courses on an iPhone X, the MP4 plays as designed, but the audio for the project in the SCORM file does not.  The audio is fine in Android. I have not been able to find anything similar on any boards, or via a Google search.  I have spoken with an App developer who has said he is not aware of any issues as I describe, and I have asked other users of this set-up who also report no known issues. I asked EdApp directly if they fully support iPhoneX and they say they do, but our set-up with them is custom.We are using a vendor for a project who has not offered a clear answer to the issue, but

I have a course within which I'd like to attach two job aids for further details. I created two buttons and then assigned actions to them (I have a screenshot of the actions I selected below.) When I tested it, everything seemed to work the way I wanted. My issue is that within our LMS, once you select the course, a new tab opens with a Begin Course link. Clicking that link opens a new popup window with the actual course. When the user clicks one of my buttons, it successfully opens the PDF - BUT - it opens it in a new tab back in Chrome. So it is the second tab next to the one with the BEGIN COURSE option. This means that when the user closes the PDF, they return to the Begin Course link window, not the course pop-up window, which is already open. I'd LIKE them to land back on the pop-up window.I hope this all makes sense?ACTIONS SELECTED:

How would I go about making something be hidden by default when the slide is shown (such as an image or text box), and only become visible when a button is clicked?

Windows 10 build 1607 Captivate 2017After installing Windows 10 updates KB4509091 and KB4507460 Captivate is not capturing most of the movements and clicks during a software simulation. It sometimes starts recording after the first 6-7 pages should have been recorded, misses at least 70% of all clicks, motions and movements. It worked perfectly before the updates and I have made no changes to any settings. Have uninstalled and clean reinstalled with shutdowns between each twice, problem still persists. Anyone else have this problem?

Hi CommunityI'm still a newbie to Captivate, though I've managed two projects so far. Now in project number two I used a couple of times hyperlinks in text captions. So far so good. But now the buttons to either insert or modify and delete hyperlinks have disappeared. See the screenshot below:The hyperlink " Industry segments table " is selected in this case. Below the bar I added two red circles where normally the buttons should be: Modify hyperlink and delete hyperlink. Hello!How to add both background music and TTS audio on Captivate 2019 release?

Hi,I used Verdana font in my project. When I published the course and run on Google Chrome, all the objects and fonts look same as in the source file. But when I run the same publish in the Internet Explorer, the fonts look different. The bold font looks extra bold and the width of the font extend upto one line. Good Morning, I need your help. I am looking to create forced navigation for videos, meaning, that e.g. the next button only shows when the video is watched. I tried to time the button in the timeline so it only appears after the video is fully watched. I know how to create forced navigation for multistate objects, but for videos, it seems like there is nothing that works. Is there a way to say, that "if" "video" is equal to "done" --> "show" button continue? ScenarioUser enters slide --> on entering video starts to playVideo completed after 2:00 minutes  --> "Continue button" appearsClick continue --> jump to next slideI was searching everywhere on the web for a solution, but couldn't find anything. Hi @ all, i use Captivate 2019 Update 2. If i insert an video i have to position it outside the Stage, to have it later in the Final Output on the correct place. I use Subtitles.What is my fault? Please see pics. Thank you, Peter

I have a scenario where I want to hold a button down (with my mouse and also with a finger on mobile) and want an animation to play as long as I push on the button. When the user is releasing the button the interactive animation should stop where it is at that moment. When the button is pressed again, the animation should go further where it left. So with two buttons the user can move the animation further or move it back from the point it was left. The animation can be a video or a lot of images. With images and perhaps states the scenario can be moved further or back by changing the states or otherwise I could use a variable. With a video perhaps I can use bookmarks to jump to. The way to act once on the press of a button is easy but how to continually act when the button is down and you want e.g. every 0.5 sec. to trigger an event? How can this be done in Captivate?

when I publish my project the video is playing but i added the overlay slide as video so while playing the project when the overlay slide appear it showing play button on display then the user need to click that play button to continue that video is there any possible solution for playing the video without any play button?

Hello; I've created a lesson with a 10 random question post-test slides.  They are pulling from a 15 question pool.  The questions' submit buttons worked off and on.  So I created a 2nd question pool with dummy questions.  Through this, I've realized that when the answer is correct, the Submit button works and proceeds to the next question.  If it is answered incorrectly, it doesn't move on to the next question and the viewer has to click the Play button in the skin.The hover state appears and the cursor changes to a hand in both correct and incorrectly answered questions.Lastly, I have no idea what this means: I created an 11th question, not random, just a regular multiple choice question.  When I previewed it in html mode, the submit button worked, even with the wrong answer.  The other random questions Submit buttons are working only for correct answers.Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it?  I updated today and it is still

I have a multiple choice math quiz comprised of randomized quiz questions. I need to create a feature where the user, while in quiz review mode, can go back to a question they answered incorrectly and see the solution as to how the correct answer is derived. I'd prefer this solution to be an image that is shown. Is this possible to do with a quiz comprised of random questions in Captivate 9?
