Hello,I'm using a Typekit font Europa-Regular, which publishes fine.I've added a variable to the text box.At runtime, this now displays a slightly heavier weight. I cant work out where Captivate is getting this weight from as Europa-Bold is slightly thicker. It looks like Captivate is applying faux bold.I have read there are issues with specifying font weights with variables, but here I simply want to use the default, regular weight.Image 1: Font styling inside Captivate:Image 2: Styling applied at run time with variable: (asdadad is username)Image 3: Normal Captivate styling at run time:Is this a Captivate / Typekit issue?A font problem?Should I not be using Typekit fonts with variables?Any advice is much appreciated!Thank you.

I'm running Captivate in Windows 10 via a virtual machine (Parallels) on a Mac. I've tried repeatedly to update Captivate to version 11.5 but keep getting this error message:Sorry, update failedWe are unable to update Adobe Captivate this time. (Error Code: 184)Any suggestions?

Hi all, I'm working on a course that has three demos (full-screen Software Simulation slides). When I preview and publish the course, everything looks great, mouse movement is smooth. However, when it's uploaded to the LMS (Cornerstone), the mouse movement gets increasingly choppy/jerky as the course progresses:In demo 1, mouse is smooth; demo 2, mouse is slightly choppy; and demo 3, mouse is super choppy. So strange!This only started happening this week, but has affected multiple courses, not just the one.Captivate version: 11.0.1.266We publish SWF and HTML5.Any guidance is much appreciated!!Thank you.

Is it me, or has the ability to customize the player skin not changed since Presenter version 8?  I'm on 11.1 now, and the tutorial from v.8 still exactly works with the customizing tools in 11.1.  Why can't I choose my own colors/fonts/logo size, etc.?  This is more of a rant than a question, I guess.

Apologies if this has been answered before, but I have not found an answer after several searches.With Flash/SWF going away, has anyone seen anything from Adobe regarding publishing options after support for Flash is discontinued? On a similar note, is there a list of features/functionality that are currently supported by Flash/SWF that don't have HTML5 equivalents?  Thanks!

I have been trying to run the update that keeps coming up in my Captivate 2019 (11.5.0).  After following the instructions given, it gets to 90% and stops.  Because it will not update, now Captivate 2019 is removed from my computer (twice now).  Adobe tells me to contact my system administrator - problem: Our IT Department has no idea why this is happening and it took a day and a half to get Captivate 2019 reloaded on my work computer!What gives Adobe?!  Since you won't let me contact you and our IT Department can't contact you this is the only way I know to get the message out there...

Has anyone found a way to effectively use the interactive video feature in Captivate? We are unable to use it because it does not allow closed captioning which means the learning module is not ADA compliant. Also, if a students' network connection speed is slow, it could delay the timing of the quiz question overlays causing a sub-par learning experience. Now, we could use closed captioning if we added the video to Youtube but this would deactivate with user interaction on overlay items, or fail to appear entirely.Thoughts?

Hi,I have been trying to follow create an activity with multiple text entry boxes with one submit button. I have been studying this blog post Multiple TEB's - one Submit and mine project looks exactly like the blog but it's producing different results. The text entry boxes need no validation and the person can put whatever they like into the TEB, they just can't leave it blank. I'm working on Captivate 9.Any help would be appreciated.

Hi All,I'm updating previously created project and when i went to preview in "html5 in browser" all the content slides that were imported from PowerPoint were all white.Thought it might be a glitch with the preview so i published the content and it was the same. Tried viewing it in different browsers, made no difference.I tried re-importing the slides using high fidelity, same result. I tried on a different PC, same result.i tried re-importing the slides not using high fidelity, finally i could see the slides. However, the sharpness in high fidelity is preferred.Anyone else finding this issue? not sure why it's occurring.Thanks

In my Captivate Quiz Properties > Settings panel, branch aware is selected and I could not deselect it as it is inactive. I'm unable to figure out what causes this check box to be inactive. My actual problem is "In my skin editor, playbar buttons such as play, pause, forward, rewind, etc are disabled. When I checked internet, some one had directed to the branch aware setting. But I couldn't figure out how to disable branch aware setting" Can someone help?

Hi,Our localization group is localizing 120 captivate videos into 10 or 12 languages, recapturing software screens in the local language UI and then importing the screenshots as backgrounds into the Captivate project. After the screenshots are created, the commands to import them into the Captivate project and publish the swf are a repeatable set of commands. They would like to automate the importing and publishing workflow with some sort of scripting so they don't have to do the steps manually 1200 times :-).  Is there any way to do this?  This is with Captivate 5.0, by the way.Thanks!

Hi,I am having serius troubles, importing some videos in Presenter 11.1.All videos im Mp4 format that i have tried were not imported by presenter, even those created by Adobe Presenter Video Express.Is there any kind of set up that i have to do to Presenter recognize those videos and import them? I have tried to use the Encoder but i have no sucess.Just to know that those videos are in MP4 format (ACC Audio, H.264).Anyone here could help me with this?RegardsJurandyr Neves

Is this a bug?  I've done a few projects now with Presenter, and I've had this happen twice.  An image will be fine in the PowerPoint slide, look fine while syncing audio with Presenter.  But then once I run a Preview of the slide (or project), a random image will just now show up.  Just blank in that spot.  All other images in it all other slides are fine.  Both images are .jpg files.  They are clip art that we've used before, from our normal clip art library.  One of them is used again in another spot in the same presentation, and is fine!  I tried moving the image to the front.  Nope.  There is no other layers or objects animating over it or anything.  Plays fine when just running the normal PPt slide show.  The only solution is to re-download and re-insert the same exact image.  Works then.  But then I have to re-do the timing, etc.  Strange.  Anyone encounter this?

I have a small team doing production with Presenter, and I want to share my customized themes and presenters with other iterations of Presenter, so I don't have to make them from scratch every time on each machine, plus that would make changes easier.  There doesn't seem to be an import/export function for either one of these things.  Do you know where they're stored?  Maybe I can just copy and paste from the folder(s)?(Presenter 11.1)

Is there any way to extract a screen capture video that was recorded in Captivate 7? My Learning Management System requires me to convert all my SCORMS to non-Flash dependent files. I'm hoping to pull out a video from a Captivate file and be able to use it as an MP4 or mov file. If this is not possible, I'll have to re-record the videos.Thanks

So I may have discovered what may be going on, but I am curious if anyone has run into this and if so, have you a fix? Totally new to Captivate. Excited to start, but discovering bug after bug. This particular one may be my own error, but still seems out of place.As the title notes, I find previous slide notes in random slides. For example, I am on slide 28 and create slide note content. I later review the slides and notice slide 5 has a copy of the notes from slide 28. They appear to have been added to the slide notes list so where slide 5 may have only had 3 notes, it now has 7 (the 3 original notes + the 4 from slide 28).This is very confusing and frustrating as the project is only going to get more complicated as we develop it having to constantly check for possible duplicate notes at every major progression point.MY GUESS:I have copied slides that have complex animations to avoid rebuilding the sequence (for example, section title slides). I'm testing out using 360 video in the demo of Captivate 2019 and I've loaded my published VR project onto a server for testing. The videos play super slowly, and even stall after 5-10 seconds. My video files are over 100 MB, so I'm sure that has something to do with the issue, but I would think the player would preload the files. Has anyone had these kinds of issues too?

I am looking for a way to automate the publishing process for Adobe Captivate projects. I'd like to enable my team of content creators to simply commit/push their updates to a source control repo and have an automated process run the publish with a given configuration. A command line interface or a library I could include in a program would both work.Any ideas?

Hi,I am have trouble viewing videos in Captivate, that have been loaded in via the web from vimeo as an embed code.When I view the eLearning slide the video will only appear if it is the first slide of the presentation.However when I move through the course the video is there but does not appear.Any help would be appreciated!ThanksJess
