Hello, i have to make an e-learning and i need to compare the results of two "quizzes" people need to be able to select multiple options from and the result stay like that, after that, they will see the course and when they finish they have to check the options once agan and be able to see the comparison between the first and the last attempt, I was wondering if that is possible and if it is how can I implement that.

Hi Adobe Community!I have been running into an issue for a while with published courses that contain multiple video files constantly buffering and sometimes completely breaking the course.I am using Captivate 8, publishing as HTML 5 with my current course coming in at 390MB which is in and around our typical file size.I work in the Gaming industry and have an abundance of video content at my disposal that i'm always keen to include in training courses, i've been trying to reduce video bitrate quality where possible to reduce file size, for anything that's hosted publicly already (product trailers etc.) then I've been using web objects to link to instead even though that's not ideal for me. The above project started as 750MB before reducing quality and web object use.I thought for a long time it was our LMS provider, but we have just moved to a newer and much larger platform and i'm seeing the exact same issues with the course. Hi,I have been able to directly copy screenshots from Snagit to Captivate earlier. But today, for some reason, it's not working. Whenever, I try to copy an mage from SnagIT, a previously copied image within Captivate is getting copied. Am not sure why this is happening. Pls help me resolve this issue.

Is there any way to have the video player skin visible when a slide loads? I've tried all the skins and in every case when the slide loads, the video player skin is hidden. I can see the play button in the center of the video but I'd like to have the video controls visible from the start.I'm using Captivate 2017 and publishing to HTML5. As an aside, when I publish to SWF, the video skin is always visible. Thanks

Hello! I am having an issue with my quiz results slide alignment. As you can see, the right side is much higher then the left side. Does anyone have any suggestions besides creating my own quiz results slide? Thank you!!

I need to create or use a variable to redo a quiz in the program itself, I know there is a button ready, but I would like to manipulate it in my format.

I'm trying to set up a course where the users are all initally presented with a static pool of questions. Upon failure, I would like to present a secondary static set of questions (no randomization) within the same attempt, but am having trouble figuring out how/if I can make this happen.  It's not quite branching because I don't want to use a cumulative grade across both sets of questions. It's a hard line; if they fail static set 1 they get presented static set 2 and would need to pass all questions in the 2nd set. My only other thought was to potentially put all of the questions in a single random pool of say, 20 questions. If they fail the first 10 randomised questions, those questions that were presented somehow get excluded, leaving the user with the only remaining 10 questions (which would appear like a totally new set). We're using Captivate 8 with Moodle

In August of 2018, I upgraded from Captivate 9 to Captivate 2019. I needed to load it on a different laptop and now I'm told that you can only upgrade to 2019 from 2017. WTF? Since when is Adobe requiring a customer to upgrade to every version?? If I put in the version 9 serial number, it won't take it and the drop-down box only lists v10 ( btw--keep your naming nomenclatures consistent!!)This is not acceptable. I purchased the upgrade in good faith and it worked fine, I should be able to move the license as I choose.

Morning all,I have: - published a captivate project with 7 text entry boxes on a slide - a single submit button with advanced actions to validate user input.Issue: The text entry boxes do NOT display in Safari browser, but they DO display in every other browser.Additionally, the text from the TEB will magically display once i roll over the Submit button i have created.Thoughts? ~ Sean

Hello Team,I will be starting to work on a project where I have to create short mini videos which would have small .mp4 videos for the starting and ending slide with course title and version details and would have .cpvc slides (simulation videos to show step by step process) in between.I started with the template today and published it as video in captivate with the below setting:The video after being published lags when the first mp4 loads for the background of the title screen and also the color changes (becomes lighter). Can we tweak these settings?Thanks,Parichaya

For my training module, I'm using the basic buttons available.  So, I went into Skin Editor and selected buttons such as Play, Forward.  So, I selected the close button, but it appears to not work. Currently, my project is a non responsive.  What settings should I have for this button to be activated.  Curious why this button would be different from the other ones selected, which they do work.  

I have got a template from my friend and wanted to use it in one of my project. I have created question slides and they are working OK with custom success/failure message but when I try to move those question to question pool in order to make random slide there is something strange happens,The custom success/failure message are not showing. I have tried to find out and notice that when I click on shared action there is empty entry,I have tried to find my success/failure variable but are not available in the list. How to make those variables available in question pool?

Dear all,i created matching questions in captivate 9. Everything looks fine, however when doing the final test, some parts of the questions / answers show up with a 2-3 seconds delay. For example a matching question with 3 questions and 3 answers at the beginning only shows 1 question and all three answers and a few seconds later the remaining two questions pop up. This only happens to the left side of the matchinf quiz. Does anybody have an idea on how to solve this?thanks a lot, I have been trying all day to find out.

I'm working with another developer and she is having trouble generating TTS. Every time she tries, Captivate crashes. She has uninstalled and reinstalled Captivate per Adobe's recommendation. Nothing seems to fix the problem.  The thing is, she can send me the cptx file she created, and I can generate the TTS with no trouble at all. This indicates to me that it isn't something in the way she has written and/or copied the slide notes, but rather something with how Captivate is installed.Has anyone run into this issue? It's a real problem, and it delaying a lot of our projects.Any help would be appreciated!Thanks.

Hello,I have a couple text animations in my Captivate 2017 project. When I publish to video, the animation part doesn't work. It's just the text on hte screen. The effect I'm using is Fog Lifted. Is there something I am missing to make this work? Or is text animation not supported when published to video?Thanks!

Created a custom single choice quiz so that correct and incorrect feedback would pop up on individual slides. This was suggested as a work around for captivate's quiz accessibility issue (the feedback is not read when a screen reader is on)The set up I'm going for is depending on the correct or incorrect choice, the corresponding slide shows. I also wanted the user selected choice to be visible behind the feedback graphic. I've attempted this several times and the user's choice does not show when entering the correct or incorrect slide.-. I was hoping to make these shared actions.What's the best way to do this?Thanks!

I have Captivate 2019 installed.  I have a recording from a fuze meeting that I need to record a portion of.  The fuze is a URL that I was sent to play back the meeting in Microsoft Edge or IE.There are no keystrokes, just the recording that I'm working with.  How can I record this in Captivate and out put it as a Flash or MP4 file?

Hello,This'll be my first discussion thread, so please bear with me. I am using Adobe Captivate 2019 on MacBook Pro - is there a way to change the state of an object based on timing? For example, I am working on a project with slide video. There are bookmarks during the video that is linked to buttons, so people can jump to a topic. However, I want a certain button (first topic) to be in down state between 0:00-0:32, then next button (second topic) to be in down state between 0:33-4:34, third topic between 4:34-6:13, and on...while it is also interactive for people to click in order to jump to a topic. Makes sense? Is this possible? I was unable to find a thread about this on the forums and I would love to gather some insights from the community. Thanks!

Hi. I have a course that has a lot of buttons with audio included on it. The problem is: when the users want to restart the course and visit these slides, all the buttons play their sounds and action, which causes a lot of noise. Is there an Advanced Action or Javascript to completely reset the course / interactivities when clicking on a button?

Using captivate's closed captioning, I am having a problem with multiple pages that after the first set of text when the CC is supposed to go to the second set the CC box goes blank until you close and reopen the CC box.I am trying to avoid a total rebuild if possible.Any advice or theories are welcome.

A while back, I unchecked the option to be asked, when I import audio, if I want it to be imported across multiple slides. Now, of course, I want this option back. I can't find anywhere to add this option back, nor can I figure out a way to add audio to multiple slides without it. How do I restore this option?

Hi. I'm trying to put a video that covers all area of a rectangle on Captivate. I'm stretching the dimension box of the video to "fill" the content, but when published, the video does not stay as I've adjusted. Bonjour, j'utilise le nouvelle outil dégradé de forme libre avec plaisir. Cependant, je rencontre un problème récurrent : lorsque je sélectionne un objet contenant un dégradé de forme libre contenant 4 points et 2 couleurs, l'un des points disparait systématiquement. J'ai vérifié si l'un des points étaient en dehors de l'objet, ce n'est pas le cas. Je rencontre ce problème sur plusieurs objet, dans des documents différents. Est-ce un bug ? Avez-vous une solution à ce problème ? Merci

Hi. Recentilly one of our student send us a queston that we couldn't asnwer properly. This is about the button "Cancel" "Cancelar" in spanish:The problem is that if anyone click on that button (Cancel) do the same thing than "Ok". It suppose that "Cancel" will send you at the beginning of the course, am I right? I'm wrong?I've trying to change the paramenter on TOC :Project > Skin Editor > TOC > Settings > Self-Paced Learning.  Deselect it.But if I do so, the proyect allways start from the beginning.There is a way to set the course to allways resume last visited slide (without touching js library of CP)?Thanks for your time. Hi, I'm trying out Captivate to see if it's good for making art process videos. I create digital art & this takes several hours to complete a project. But of course nobody wants to sit and watch a 5 hour video of me painting. How, when I record a video with Captivate, do I speed up the video before publishing it? I want the video to run for 5 minutes not five hours! I've poked around on the Captivate interface but I can't seem to find any "speed up" sliders anywhere on the timeline. I hope you know what I mean - I want to create "speed paint" videos. They are all over YouTube - Google them and you'll get what I mean I'm sure the answer is simple - please help!Cheers.
