I am using Captivate 2019 and the interactive video, with closed captioning added. The XML  does not push out the closed captioning text. We use the XML transfer for all of our localized content so this is a real issue. When I exported the Project Captions and Closed Captions the CC text from the interactive video did show up.Due to our deployment standards, we can not use Youtube and have to the interactive video be hosted within the program, so I can not rely on the Youtube CC. Plus we use Vimeo and that is not supported for other education.Any suggestions? What am I missing?

Hi All,I've made an Advance Action that lets the user enter a variable and then calculate it. It works and my conditional statements work as well. The issue is that Advance Action only works once. I want it to be able to work multiple times on just the one slide visit. I have it set for Infinite Attempts in the properties panel. So, idk what is going wrong.Can anyone help?

Greetings All,Noob here...I've been working with a template created by a co-worker who does not have the same issue as I do, which is:In a matching question, I have 8 items in the first column, and 7 in the second column:The result when published in HTML 5 is this:You can see that for the bottom choice, the ability to select "F" or "G" is impossible (Please note that I do understand that a user can "drag" matches as a workaround but do not wish to rely on this) and I'm puzzled as to why this exists on my computer and no one else's. I have saved the file and sent it to colleagues to preview, and the drop down will extend to show all the letter choices and work fine. As another clue (that has lead me nowhere) to solve this, my colleague's dropdown "lines" separating the choices that I have above...very odd indeed.I've searched from one side of the internet to the other and spend 2+ hours with Adobe Tech Support with no result.Anyone experiencing this, or have any suggestions, I am willin

HelloI have a HTML5 course output with slides and video from Captivate 8 that work perfectly with Chrome however with IE11 it stalls with a permanent IE11  "loading" screen:The strange fact is that the video in the course plays fine, but the captivate course slides container and contents don't work and stalls.In fact it plays fine until any action or click on the slide is called or used, even the standard playbar buttons.The video is in .mp4 and 35 mins / 240 Mb long.The behaviour appears both from localhost and web server access. However it does not happen if opening directly the published index.html file locally.I would like to add this behaviour happens even when opening a new project a placing a synchronised video on a slide adding a simple button with an action.Much appreciate any help.Egomet

Do to customer demand, we need bookmarking in our courses but in Captivate it appears that bookmarking is also active when the learner is actively taking the final quiz but has to leave for some reason. With bookmarking on, when they return to the course they are taken back to the last page they are on which is OK unless that page is in the middle of a quiz. If it is, the learner has to resume through the quiz which they inevitably will fail because now there sum will only include the quiz question of the active session, not any quiz questions from the previous session. In our other course development tool, that is built strictly with Dreamweaver using  HTML5, CSS and JavaScript we are able to stop bookmarking once the user starts the quiz. We would like to do that in Captivate as well, rather than turning off bookmarking altogether and forcing the learner to restart the course. Does anyone have some ideas or solutions on how we can accomplish this in CP 2019?

I am new to captivate and looking to creating a simple certificate at the end of the project, I will use the viarables to gather the information required however I need to put a 12 month expiry on the certificate how can this be done through advanced inteactions.thanks

Hi everyone! First time poster here. I’m creating a curriculum for a client that wanted it created with Captivate. It’s a fish ID course, so each slide is a fish image. There’s a question mark at the bottom that, when clicked, opens the fish name. I made it a shared action so that when the user advances to the next slide, it is supposed to disappear. It worked fine for one export, but now the actions apparently no longer work. Additionally, it requires two clicks to trigger the pop-up. I got these buttons working over two months ago at this point, and since it was my first time working with advanced actions, I can’t remember for the life of me what I did.  In the one screenshot of the Advanced Actions box, you’ll see that one setting is left blank. I don’t remember why that’s like that but it’s the same in the archived version of the project where the actions work correctly.If anyone can advise, I’m happy to share a link to the project. Long-time Creative Cloud and Adobe product user here. I love CC and the extremely high bar Adobe usually sets. A significant bit of my professional work is in B2B eLearning - specifically using Storyline 2 & Storyline 360.I'm coming back to "trial" Captivate 2019 as many of the features are attractive - in particular, responsive courses w/ breakpoints and more advanced programming.I very quickly discovered that the media/asset tools in Captivate fall way short. I'm hoping that I'm missing something here and those of you familiar with the platform can enlighten me.Assets provides no ability to manage or browse media/assets of my own?What is this eLearning Brothers spam, and why is it integrated in a piece of commercial software?There is no Bridge integration?The only way to add images or media of my own is to place them using the standard File Explorer?The Adobe Stock tab just shows an iFrame of Adobe Stock website?Please, somebody tell me I'm missing something!! Hello,I am trying to create an alternative for a drag and drop interaction. Instead of dragging items and then dropping them in the correct order, I want users to click the items off to the left and then appear off to the right in the correct order.I have achieved this so far by using transparent buttons over my images on the left and hiding the images on the right and then executing an advanced action to show the image on the right once the corresponding button is clicked.Now I am trying to figure out a way to enforce the clicking order of the buttons. For example if the user clicks an image out of order, it will not appear to the right. The user would have to keep clicking buttons on the left in order to find the correct order for the images to appear on the right.Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this?Thank you

I would like to know if it is possible to place a button that when pressed automatically write a symbol in the text box for a short answer. For example, the symbols of Spanish. I do not see an option that allows you to write a symbol automatically. I know that keyboards can be changed to write in another language, but many institutions do not allow the student to configure the computer.javascript:;I appreciate the help.

I am working on software training that requires the user to use both a right-click to open menus and to press the tab key to navigate to the next field. When I publish with the right-click (html5 and swf) I have to disable the accessibility for the click box to function correctly. If the accessibility preference is enabled it only functions as a left-click. But when I disable the accessibility preference the shortcut tab for the other click boxes in the course do not work. These objects are on different slides. Is there a way that I can get both to work in the same course?Thanks!

Hello (new) friends!Stumped on a question pool issue. It may be something simple, but I am unable to populate question pools with existing questions. I've created a question pool (and then a second, just to be sure), and am unable to right click on quiz questions and add them to the pool. As you can see, the slides in the film strip are questions (note grad-cap icon).Any ideas? I'm using the latest release of Captivate 11. In other blogs, it seems there is supposed to be an option in the dialog box there -- unless that's been deprecated.Thank you in advance for your help!

I'm using Captivate 2018. The quiz is branch aware (2 quizzes for 2 locations). My problem is that one quiz reports just fine, but the other only allows a user to achieve a grade of 96% even if they answer all 25 questions correctly. The problem is not with the LMS; it also occurs when I do a project preview in Captivate.The final score slide tells me...You scored: 24Accuracy: 96%Maximum Score: 25Correct Questions: 25Total Questions: 25I've done some troubleshooting already and have ruled out the following:There are no extra buttons anywhere in the project with the "include in quiz" setting enabled.All questions are weighted properly with no penalties assigned.The "Report Answers" box is checked on all necessary questions.All question types are set to "Graded".I've looked over the question slides that are specific to the quiz branch that's giving me the issue and all quiz slide and submit button properties seem to be normal.I've gone through a review after passing the quiz to see if an

Is there any other format besides the JPEG in the example that you can use for VR?Can you play another VR product from with in Captivate?

Has anyone else run into this weird issue?This is the first time we've seen this and it seems to only be on iPad Safari.All our text and bullets are white, and they look perfectly fine on desktop,but for some weird reason the sub-bullets are black.The regular bullets are white, but any bullets past the first level are the standard black color.

What I mean is can you zoom in on an area?  Can you then select a switch or button to have something happen?  Can you move to an object and pick it up?There are some realtor videos that you feel as though you are walking through the house that is for sale.

I have a click box opening a new window to a URL containing "Finance_%26_Accounting".  When I publish it out, Captivate switches the "%" to "%2526" which breaks the link.  I've seen other solutions with a similar issue where the %20 is changed to an actual space within the URL.  However, when I change the %26 to "Finance_&_Accounting" the link still does not work.  Has anyone had any experience with this?  How can I fix it?  I don't have control of the link to remove the ampersand...Thanks!

I sometimes build charts/graphics in Captivate that I use in my courses. However, I need to resize the screen area to take a screenshot. However, the zoom levels are preset (via the very top bar of the Captivate interface on the far right) to 25,33,50,66,75,100, etc.  Is there any way to specify a custom zoom level?  I don't want to jump over to another app to re-size.Thanks in advance

In spite of republishing the MP4 several times, as well as closing and reopening Captivate, the NeoSpeech voice is cut off at the transition between slides one and two. Any thoughts?

Hello, I am new to Captivate. I need to commission a freelancer to create an animation for me. It is just an object floating in space that rotates. There is no interactivity - the student has no control over the rotation, the angle of view, etc.What is the best format for animations of this type, given that I want to include them in Captivate slides?The colors of the animated image are very important.

I have got issue in TOC text in my Build, After i done formatting from English to Spanish Language.I have make "TOCStrings.ini" in spanish language and placed in captivate program folders.All text look fine in .ini files.But when i publish my build and upload on SCORM CLOUD its look corrupt, see screenshot (Red highlighted part)But its look fine when i run course in offline mode, See attached screenshot.I did utf 8 to .ini file, also made changes in "CPM.js" files, and run build but still same issue on Scorm Cloud.I done this course in Captivate 9please someone help me to find solution, this is really will helpful me.Thanks In Advanced.

Hello everyone,I am trying to create a drag and drop and running into some issues.  I will try my best to explain my issues.I have 4 check marks (drag sources) and 4 employees (drag targets).  3 of the employees are the correct answers but any of the 4 check marks would work on the three correct targets.  See below.  When I preview it as it is, I get an incorrect message, I believe because not all four check marks are used.  I don't want to only put 3 check marks and give away the answer.  I used the Drag & Drop Wizard for this page.Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated!
