Hi all! Sort of new to Adobe and trying to figure out how I fill the background colour of a text box?? Every time I click the colour I want, it doesn't work and still has the line through the fill box. Am I doing something wrong??I have Adobe Pro.

Good afternoon,I am editing some landscape images and have used the brush tool to remove haze from the top of the photos only.   When I copy and paste the edits, the brush stroke from my source photo does not copy over to the other photos. Am I missing something?

Hi. I've created a project in HTML5 where the slides keeps freezing randomly. They should play correctly with Audio on Enter and animations. When I Preview the project on Captivate using F8 , it works well. But when I preview or Publish in HTML5, it keeps freezing on some slides and some animations doesnt play and appear, getting me stucked on slides.- There is a lot of animation on slides.- I'm using SCORM 1.2.- There is On Enter actions and audios linked to object slides.- I've already tried to hide some slides to find the bug, but whatever slide I hide, the bug appears somewhere else.- I'm using some SVG files.Can anybody help me?

I recorded a Video Demo in Captivate, and am now editing it.  I have trimmed out bits of the video, and am attempting to add a pan & zoom effect that I will need to carry across several separate clips.I have done this in the past with no issue. This time, it will not allow me to start a zero second pan & zoom effect at the very beginning of a clip because it believes there is already a pan & zoom effect that lasts 0.1 seconds at the beginning of each clip.  There is no marker for any p&z effect on any of these clips, and I cannot figure out how to remove this "phantom" effect so that I can add the intended effect to maintain a smooth zoom across multiple clips. Has anyone encountered this before, and can provide any advice on how to fix it?Thanks!

As you know in the version of CP 2019, includes the famous play at the beginning. I have Captivate 2019 and want to zoom in on a hard-to-see section of the UI in a software simulation. I've read directions on Adobe's site and haven't found accurate instructions. What is the correct way to do this?

Hi,I am fairly new to captivate, so please bare with me if this is a simple problem that I am overlooking the solution to.I am currently working on a project that involves the use of the Rollover Image object.  For the majority of the rollover areas, I am not experiencing any issue, and they behave as expected.  The image appears when the mouse enters the rollover area, and disappears when the mouse exits the rollover area.However, when I attempt to rotate the rollover area it seems to cause issues.  When the rollover area is angled/rotated in any way, the image lingers on the screen for some reason.  The image appears when the mouse enters the rollover area, but when the mouse exits the rollover area, the image remains on the screen.  The image will remain on the screen until the user enters a different rollover area, or the user "rolls over" the image itself.  Furthermore, the image remains on the screen even after moving to a different slide and revisit

Hi fellow Adobe Presenter users,I'm running into some accessibility frustrations. Adobe's documentation here: Accessibility and 508-compliance States that, "The following elements of an Adobe Presenter output are accessible through JAWS (in addition to the keyboard):Playbar controls including the attachmentsSide panes including Outline, Thumb, Notes, and Search PaneSlide notesContent on the slides including text, actions, hyperlinks, images, and quizzes"I cannot for the life of me get the screen reader to read the slide notes. To verify, this is stating that JAWS will read the notes pane of the published Adobe Presenter file, correct? Using JAWS, how is this accomplished? Do you have steps or a demo to show users how this can be done? Also, is anyone else experiencing issues with reading order? Even though I have set the reading order, JAWS, NVDA, and Windows Narrator are all still picking up pieces of graphics I have grouped together, things embedded in the master slide, and other pha

If a user scores 80% or higher, I want them to go to a passing slide that shows their percent.  If the user scores lower than 80%, I want them to go to a failure slide that shows the quiz percent.     I have an advanced action on enter to the passing slide called "PassFail."  No matter what they score, they go to a failure slide and their percentage is not visible.  Is it me or Captivate?

I have down loaded a pdf statement and if I right click the general page shows the Creation, Modification and access date and time as the date and time i down loaded it.I need to see the original creation date that the originator created it.Can it be done?

I have audio uploaded  to narrate a slide question. In the Quiz Manager I uploaded the answer audio in the Advanced tab of the quiz question. When my slide plays, if you select the correct answer before the slide audio finishes the answer audio overlaps so you hear both pieces of audio at the same time. How can I correct this?

Hello; I have a client that wants a 20 question assessment, pulling from a Question Bank with about 100 questions.  The 100 questions will address about 15-20 subtopics.  After the score slide, he would like a remediation slide(s) showing the correct formula and general process to answer the missed questions.So is there a way to tag each question with its subtopic and the performance for each subtopic?Thank you!

Hi,I have a multiple choice question. There is audio that essentially reads what is written on the screen. It is a few sentences. Even if the learner quickly answers the question and clicks Submit, s/he has to wait until the audio finishes before the it advances to the next slide.Is there any way for the slide to automatically advance when hitting Submit, even if the audio is playing? I don't want the audio to carry over to the next slide.thanks!

I working on a course that needs to have a quiz at the beginning to allow participants to test out of the course and jump the end slide. If the participant score is less than 80% I need the participant to go into the regular course.  I have having trouble making this work.  thanks

Hi,I need to use the reporting to an internal server option that produces an XML at the end of the e-learning which can be analysed for project use, success etc. I'm using Captivate 9.I have two problems with the option in it's current format -1) the user is required to add their name and email address and continue before the XML is produced at the end of each project. I can pretty much guarantee that 99% of users will close this screen down upon seeing this and/or not wish to enter their email and all results will be very hit and miss as a result.My question is:  can this entry box either be added at the very start of the project on maybe the 1st or 2nd slide and is mandatory to continue or, is there a way of disabling it and still obtaining the XML report?2) If the box mentioned above has to be completed at the end and there are no options here, is there anyway of altering the standard text that appears?any help or suggestions would be really appreciated.G

So we've loaded a file onto our LMS, and when it's launched, this is what the learner is seeing:We're seeing this in Chrome, Firefox, and IE.Here's how we get to this point:Upon launching the course, the learner encounters error messages saying, "This page is trying to load "unauthenticated/unauthorized scripts."Learner is then prompted to allow Adobe Flash to run. Learner clicks "yes."After allowing Flash, this is what we see.We're unable to interact with the playbar. It flickers, as if it's trying to load something.Anyone have any suggestions?

I'm working on a responsive project in Captivate 2017 and recently submitted it to the client for feedback.  They noted some little artifacts that look like the letter "L" near the end of a couple of numbered items.  These items are just text inside a smart shape, nothing more.  Apparently the client is using Internet Explorer to review the output, and provided me with screenshots of what she's seeing. I can't replicate this, no matter what browser I use.  She's also pointed out that the "w" in the text is not displaying correctly?  I've included the screenshot set to me.Has anyone else seen this type of thing?  Any thoughts?

I am having an issue when I try to upload a PowerPoint file into Captive 2017. I go through all of the steps of importing the file, and then when the file is imported, it shows up as a completely white screen, but the original PowerPoint file has text and slide backgrounds. This happens with both a .ppt and a .pptx file. I have also tried uploading the PowerPoints in high fidelity and that doesn't seem to help either. I'm not sure if it is a simple fix or if there is something bigger going on. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

In Captivate 9, there are 4 multiple choice Smart Shape Buttons set to 1attempt on a slide (not a quiz slide)/  When the 3 incorrect answer areselected, the Action Continues and shows a Display message. On Success, the 1correct Button runs an Advanced Action: Continue, Play Audio, Increment Score by1, and Go to Next Slide.  On Last Attempt, the correct ButtonContinues.  The 3 Incorrect Buttons have a timing for “Rest of Slide” (13seconds) and a Display message that lasts for 7 seconds.  The correctButton is active for 2 seconds and inactive for 11.  After the user clickson the incorrect Button, they still can click on the correct Button and accruea point.  How do I block the user from scoring an extra point? 

I am working on placing multiple software demonstration slides into one project in Captivate 9 (they were also recorded in Captivate 9).  When I copy and paste the slides they are changing in the new blank project.  The mouse does not take the same path and the captions are also slightly off.  Some of the slides even skew the background.  Why is this happening?  Is there any way to correct this??Thank you for whatever help you can provide!

Hi, I have a submit button to submit answers on a quiz where you get feedback about your answer and then a next button to advance to the next question. If the user clicks on next without clicking on submit, it seems that captivate or the quiz freezes and the user is stuck in there. How can we add a message that says "click submit first" when they click on the next button by mistake. Thanks.

I have recorded audio into a slide. Now, I want to import a music audio as a new layer. Is this possible? i can't seem to figure it out.I can copy the part of the music and add it to the existing audio recording but i want to fade the music out before the narration starts.I couldn't achieve this when the two audio pieces are in one track.

Hi,When creating a cptx-project containing cpvc-slides, some slide-transitions dont work properly. This concerns every transition from a cptx-file to a cpvc-file (the other way works fine). The result is that the fade-transitions get interrupted, the loading-item (see picture below) appears quickly and afterwards the transition ends an the cpvc-video continues. This means that I dont have a nice transition between a slide without video to a slide with a video. Does anybody have the same issue or knows how to fix it?Thank you for your help.Best regards,Adrian

I have an old version of Captivate (not by choice) and cannot control how files publish files.  User guides all show an option for HTML5 or flash in preferences.  I also tried publish on the toolbar.  The only option was publish to computer but again, there were no options.  I was able to play it in Windows Media Player.  could not file save as or use any other options to change file type.Any suggestions?Thanks!
