After the last update of AC 2019, the video volume controller is always in bad position at the beginningI try to reinstall AC but nothing change. How to Solve It?Thx for yout time!

All Captivate E-Learnings (simple Information and Quiz-Learnings) I realized for my Customer (SCORM 1.2, LMS Success Factors SAP) show the same problem:The documentation to the LMS works fine, when the Connection to the LMS is running. But if the Internet connection is only interrupted in the second, the users are quitting the e-Learning, there is NO INFORMATION stored in the LMS. If the "send data on every slide" funktion would work, the LMS should at least have stored any information, but there is nothing! I can see the same behaviour by testing the files in SCORM Cloud.If I restart the E-Learnig from the LMS, the e-Learning resumes from the last stored point, so I can see, the information is stored in any cache of the internet browser. Why is the information not sent to the LMS? I tested so many different options with only a simple quiz-file, but never get the result, that the information of every slide is sent to the LMS. Hi. I wanted to use Google fonts on my Captivate projects. I've tested a few times with my co-workers opening the project on the LMS and they are not able to see the correct fonts (always turns into Times New Roman). I've already placed this Javascript function "On Enter Slide"var fontLink = '<link href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Calligraffitti" rel="stylesheet">'$(fontLink).appendTo("head")Any idea of how to make this work on LMS? The default Windows fonts are not good...

I am using Captivate 2019.There is an interaction where the user selects many objects on the screen. Each object has a shared action to "Show __," "Play Audio __," and "Assign Variable __ to 1." There is then a Conditional action, if "All variables are 1" then "Continue."I want the slide to automatically proceed to the next because it's a continuation of the interaction. (Otherwise, I'd simply "Show" a button, which works fine enough. It just doesn't make sense for the user to click Next when it's the same interaction).But when I click the last object on the screen (note this can be in any order), the Conditional activates and the slide continues to the next, without waiting to play the corresponding audio.How can I get the program to "wait for audio to complete" before activating the conditional continue?Edit: Right now I am working around the problem by setting a variable to the length of the audio, manually typing in the seconds, which is not entirely ideal. Sorry, I just posted a question a little bit ago But I came across another hiccup.I want to add custom feedback for my quiz questions when in review mode. It is all only 1 feedback message, regardless of whether the user got the question right or wrong.My plan was to "Show" the message on an "On Enter" event. But the object with the feedback does not show up in Advanced Actions. I tested with other objects on the slide, and none of them appear.Is it because it's a question pool? A multiple choice slide?I'm not quite sure how to proceed.Thanks for your help!

Is there a way to open/convert/import a Captivate 2019 file into 2017?  Via plugin or other?  Thanks!Jeff

Anyone ever see this before? Ambiguity between interactions report and quiz settings as it pertains to number of points possible.

I added background music to a set of slides.  There are many video demo slides in this project, but the final slide is a regular slide.  But nothing I do makes the background music fade out; it just chops off.  From the menu bar, I use AUDIO, Edit, Background...I've set the fade to 4 or 5 seconds, I've set it to Loop...then set it to not loop...nothing seems to make any difference.   I've tried changing options on the slide itself.  Nada.  Any ideas?

I have tested the same file in:- Chrome v71.0.3578.98- Firefox v64- Edge v42.17134.1.0- Safari (unknown version not my machine)I am publishing Adobe Presenter 11.1 Build 189.  My test SCORM zip file size is only 4mb.  Nothing fancy.  Slides, audio, basic animations.  Same machine to publish.  Same wifi connection.It hangs in Chrome and FF.  Plays fine in Edge and buffers a bit in Safari. This is true for multiple pieces of content.When I asked my LMS folks about it they mentioned a pr_dummy file getting created.  Not sure if this has much to do with it as I have tested with it removed and still have the same buffering issues in Chrome.HELP! please.

I just downloaded the trial version of Captivate 2019. I created a new Virtual Reality project, added one of the supplied 360 images (café) and did a Preview > Project. It opens a browser window, but nothing ever displays...just clocking. I tried other preview options and publish too, but same result. Why can't I see the rendered output?

So I have tried this action several times and it doesnt seem to work. The scenario is that:I want to create a foreign language class for students to learn Chinese characters. So the slide I created needs to use the drag and drop action to review the vocabularies.On the left is the drag columns; they are a list of sentences and each sentence has a missing word. I want to make them as smart shape as buttons to play audios of the sentences being read out loud.On the right side is the source columns; they are the missing vocabularies that the students need to drag to the left side's matching sentences.So it seems that as soon as I turn the smart shapes into buttons, the drag and drop function doesn't work. So is there any workaround that can let me achieve the above goal and scenario? Thank you!

Hi there.New user of Captivate - trying to make my content 'scorm' compliant.My content has been produced in Adobe Animate CC, using the canvas element (html5).I would like to be able to interact with my various buttons and/or movie clips - but have them record some sort of detail to help with SCORM scoring. So far I have been able to create an 'Advanced Action' and console.log out the name of the html5 file that I have imported into my Captivate scene, but I have no been able to target any button click within the html file. I assume that's because of timeline restrictions.So I'm thinking - maybe I could export from Animate with Captivate code as an AOM, and then import that into captivate?I'm just throwing ideas out there, hoping that I might be right with one of them.Any help greatly appreciated.Cheers

We have a Captivate 2017 tablet kiosk app for our lobby and would like to reset it to the home page if the presentation is idle for a few minutes. If folks leave the app before finishing, then it should automatically reset to the beginning for the next user. Otherwise, our staff must monitor and reset the app. Appreciate your suggestions. Hello all,I'm using the most recent version of Captivate and I'm experiencing a really frustrating bug with a captivate quiz. We had a couple of questions that needed revisions, as such.. some of the answers needed to be changed. Upon republishing, I was testing the quiz for functionality when I noticed that even when I clicked on the correct answer, captivate still marked it as wrong. I went back into the CPTX file and the original multiple choice question from before the revision was still set as the correct answer, even when I marked the new answer as the correct one. Not sure what to do here, is there a way I can "reset" this question in my project so it works correctly?

When I uncheck "Allow User to Review the Quiz" the project receives an error "Failed to back up the data" and Adobe Captivate 2017 crashes or hangs up and I have to kill the application. I found threads for previous versions of Captivate receiving this error message. Just curious if there is a fix... from the point I receive this message my file becomes corrupt. The files no longer backup correctly. I've had to recreate 1 file already and was trying to recreate a master when this last fail occurred. Any help is appreciated.

Now i am a student of graduate school and subscribing package for student/teacher. I also have a part-time job and at the office I use the company computer with shared network environment. I would like to install the photoshop and acrobt to my office computer in order to use personal purpose. According to the licensing  policy of Adobe, the user of student package can be use the apps for the not only personal purpose  but also commercial, as long as they subscribing. What I want to know is whether Adobe allows me to use my plan(stduent/teacher) at my office. What is the Adobe’s policy on this issue?

I have been trying for the last few weeks to open a set of files that have been transferred to us.We've tried the transfer via e-mail, OneDrive, etc. We've tried to transfer them inside a zip file (which has helped in the past), but nothing, we just can't open them and keep getting the attached error message.The vendor transferring the files has no issues with any of them and they have re-saved them multiple times. Not sure what else we can try, most solutions seem to point out to recovering the project from the cached files, but this is not an option since these files are being transferred.I also tried resetting our Captivate preferences by using the CleanPreferencesWin.bat file as found in another forum, just nothing we've tried has worked.We are using Captivate 2017 and we are not opening them from a Network location, they have been saved locally.Please help.

Hi dear Captivate fellow workers!On a specific slide, I'd lke to hide the paybar until the learner clicks on a specififc button (which then reveals the playbar).I've done the following:- slide properties - on enter "toggle" variable "cpCmndShowPlaybar" value 0- on this specific button "show playbar"When getting to the slide, the playbar is actually hidden, but the animation does not start. The slide is like "paused".Do you know why?Thanks!Céline

I've been making a quiz with multiple text entry boxes and one submit button. however, I need the whole slide to be scored only 1 point. The text entry boxes are scored individually, but I'd like the quiz to be scored per slide. Is this possible? if not, is there a possible workaround for this? I found something that uses a button for score report or something. I think it's from Lilybiri's blog if I can recall. but it doesn't work for me or I'm missing something in there. I still don't understand how widgets work, but I'll post that on another thread maybe later. Thanks!

We are using Captivate Prime but I am new to the system and to Adobe Captivate. I have been tasked with converting a PowerPoint presentation to Captivate.The final product will:Be created in Adobe captivate 9 using the PowerPoint presentation provided (25 slides). No audio needed.There will be sets of questions at different points of the presentation (after slide 3, 9, etc). Since this will be posted in Captivate Prime, the system is to track the number of correct answersThe module will provide basic feedback  (Correct or Incorrect)  after every question. Incorrect answers don't prevent users from moving to the next slideIf by the end of the training the trainee has not achieved at least 80% correct answers.Please let me know if this is a project you would be interested in.Thanks

Hello everybody,I am pretty sure this is an easy question 🙂I have created audio + cc from the slide notes. When publishing the project, I can hear the audio, see the cc but not the cc function to switch on and off the cc. Do you know why?

I have a rather large project that I'm working on in Captivate 8. The project is made up of forty independent modules.Each module has about 20-30 slides, and each slide has an image (already captured through Snagit and saved to a desktop file).Basically, this is assembly-line work. Each Captivate slide requires one of the images from its respective desktop file. When I select an image (Captivate: Media > Image) from a file and populate the the Captivate slide, the image is populated at the size it was captured as.All of the images that must be populated have the same x,y coordinates and the same height, width dimensions for all slides.It is fairly simple to utilize the Object Style Manager to set up standard objects like text or buttons, but how can I do the same for images?I want to (if it is possible) use the Object Style Manager, or some other function, to set up images that I populate to always populate at the same x,y coordinates and at the same height and width. I see on the support page for creating VR content with Captivate 2019 that Samsung Gear VR and Daydream VR are the only listed publishing options. Content I've created plays fine through a browser on a computer, but I don't have access to the Android gear that the VR publishing options require.Anyone know of any other VR publication options at this point, or if there are any plans (or maybe even rumors) to use any other platforms, or platforms like Daydream VR to accept iPhones?Tnx.
