Is there a list of Captivate learning interactions that won't work in HTML5 and thus a responsive design project?

Hello,I have few slides which use the Drag and Drop interactions and have following two questions.1. Is it possible to show separate message for cases such that the user not selecting the answer (Choose an answer msg) and selecting the wrong answer (Incorrect answer msg).  It currently shows 'Incorrect Answer' msg for both cases.2. One of the interaction slide I have is that user can select one out of four drag sources and there is a one drop target.  It currently allows user to select all four drag sources to target separately but within one try. Is there any way to prevent so that the user can only select one drag source at each try?Any help will be appreciated.Thanks!

Hello....after I upload my Adobe Captivate to Docebo using the SCORM option the navigational functions do not show...is this a function in Docebo I need to activate? Has anyone had this happen?Below...NO NAVIGATIONIn Captivate w/ NavigationSo ABOVE there is not a navigational function for the learner to use AFTER I UPLOAD to DOCEBO but when I preview below BEFORE uploading to DOCEBO there is the SLIDER that the student will need.I am using Captivate 2017 and DOCEBO (the lastest version for 5/2018)

Hello I'm using Captivate 9.0.2.437I'm using the branched view. When I update an action to jump to a different slide - the branched view doesn't change at all.See image below - one of the buttons was changed to jump to slide 16. Slide 16 is still listed in the 'Unlinked slide' section. It also isn't listed as a linked slide underneath the slide in the branched view, or linked to in the branched view. I have tried closing out of the branching view and opening it again. I've double checked the slide in the normal view to ensure that the button has definitely been updated, and it has.Has anyone experience this before? Is there a way to 'refresh' the branching view - other than closing out of the program and reopening it again?Thank you

I've got to launch a course in the next couple days for user testing, but I'm running into a problem that I haven't been able to fix yet.First part - I've got a slide (slide A) with some text rollovers and short audio that plays until user clicks next button, pretty basic. Original slides were pulled from PPT, but slide A is the only slide that seems to require an extra click to advance. I've recreated the slide from a newly imported PPT slide with automatic advance designated (not on mouse click), but it seems to still require the 2nd click elsewhere on the slide. There's no click box in the timeline, audio and slide elements are in sync, slide is set to go to next slide on exit, and next button is set to go to next slide. However, if the user clicks the next button twice, it skips the following slide (slide B). Also, when user clicks the next button once, the TOC shows that it has advanced to slide B, but slide B doesn't load until user clicks somewhere else on slide A.Second part -

CP9HTML5 onlyHello.When I view a project on an Android phone I see the 'Play' arrow.I want to replace this arrow with my own custom image.After replacing, I want to test it, but without having to upload to the web server.Is there a way to force the arrow to appear on a Windows PC so that I can test that my custom image works?Thank youPeter

Hi - I have a project in Captivate 8 (working on an HP laptop, running Windows 10). When I try to preview or publish it, I get the Adobe Flash screen with instructions to download and install it. I went along with this two or three times, but Captivate doesn't seem to know that Flash is there. In any case, I get the Flash screen over and over, and the project doesn't appear. Anne

Hello,I have a SCORM file that uploads and plays fine on Scormcloud, but it wouldn't upload to an LMS that I administrate. The LMS that I'm the admin for has lots and lots of uploads that work fine. I've never had this problem before.The upload appears to be going fine. The LMS says that the file successfully uploaded, but when I click finish I receive the following error message:0 SCO(s) saved. Hello, I am trying to add a variable to a slide where when the user exits, a message appears saying to the user to review before leaving. This message would only appear if the user did not click on all the correct buttons on the slide that he/she is supposed to. I've attached an image of this said slide.Pls help. I know it's an If variable but not entirely sure how to go about with this. Thanks.

When I try to update Adobe Captivate 2017, I am blocked by a firewall.What is the URL that's being blocked?  If I can find out the URL, I can give it to the IT department and they may be able to unblock it for me.Thank you.

Hi,my video is recorded, when playing the video in editor-mode, the sound from start to finish is exactly the same.As soon as I export the video as .mp4, the sound is quieter and suddenly louder in the last part.What am I doing wrong? I have already tested with the different presets. Any idea?

Hi, I have a simple file that requires the user to enter specific values in text boxes. If they are not able to work through the activity succesfully, they see a "Try Again" Button. I originally had the action of that button set to go back to slide #1. I noticed that the values entered in the text boxes on the first attempt were there when each slide loads. I then tried setting the action to javascript - window.location.reload() which reloads the page, but the values are still there. How can I offer a second attempt that will clear the values in the text entry boxes. Thanking you in advance!

Hi All,Purchased and dowloaded Captivate 2017 in September.  I remember having a similar issue when I tried entering my serial number the first time I did this, but I can't seem to get it to work again.  That being said, I downloaded the program to an old computer, now I have a new computer and can't get it into it.  I have successfully downloaded the Captivate App at the trial point.  When I launch it opens Captivate and the Adobe App.  The Adobe app asked for a sign in (which I know and which has the correct serial number linked to it).  I sign in and then it prompts me to use the trial or use a license.  I enter in the number (I've done this numerous times and have not been able to make it work), but it says "Serial number is not valid for Adobe Captivate 2017."  I have purchased that program, I have the latest updates installed.  I work in IT and run support, so I have checked everything that I can think of to fix it.  Screenshots b

Hey, I want to set my quiz answer to the variables of my choice, like they can be like this, but when I set them up and go to quiz, it says that I must have the correct answer. It doesn't consider the variable's value. I want my variable's value to be read as answer. Is this possible?

Hello,I've been trying to make an HTML5 only course keyboard accessible. However, when I preview locally and even publish to the LMS, the skin is accessible by keyboard but anything I have in the tab order isn't even recognized.This seems to be the same problem as this thread.I am using a custom image button, not a smart object or text/transparent button, to make my interactive objects accessible. This works for me when I publish SWF/HTML5. NOTHING in the tab order is showing up in any browser for the HTML5 only project that is in a responsive project.Does anyone have a solution?Thanks for your help!

We are using the latest version of Captivate 2017 and Microsoft Office 365 and Windows 10. When we attempt to export captions and closed captions, we get the following dialog box and the system hangs upThe only way to clear the hang up is via Task Manager.Microsoft Office 365 open fine in all other respects. Any Ideas?

Hi all;I have a question I'm hoping someone can help me out with. I am doing a software simulation in training mode because there's interaction I want the user to do, and on one slide I have a text entry box and a click box. But what I need is for the click box not to be active until the user types the text correctly. At the moment everything works, but if the user were just to click Next without typing it would go to the next slide. I need them first to type correctly into the text entry box (and the failure/success to show based on what they type) before they can click next. Is this possible? I think it may be some kind of advanced action, but I'm newish to Captivate and don't really know how to do that.Thanks in advance for any help!Sam

When attempting to insert any widget onto my project, I get a cryptic popup window as the "Configure Interaction" window loads. This happens regardless of what learning interaction I choose.If I click "OK" the window closes, but the "Configure interaction" screen just stays blank, so I'm not able to alter anything.

Hey guys! Relearning the latest version of Captivate (2017) and there doesn't seem to be an easy way to adjust the failure action for a Click Box? There's a drop down for 'On Success' but only a check box under Display for 'Failure' which turns the failure caption on or off. I don't need different messages for the number of tries or anything complicated, I would just like a highlight box to appear in addition to the failure caption. Is there any (relatively) easy way to achieve that?

I have six text captions on a page that were originally linked to a master slide, with placeholder object text. I have since switched master slides, and even deleted the placeholder objects on the older master slide.I don't want this text to be placeholder object text anymore, but I want to keep the text that's in it, and it's size/positioning. Is there a way to not have Captivate see these as placeholder objects anymore?The only thing I could think of is I have to re-create them from scratch as regular text captions. That would be a huge pain though, especially considering the size/positioning I have across five mobile break points. That's a 120 property fields! Top/left/height/width, times 6 captions, times 5 break points.If you're asking yourself why I would want to do this, it's because I need to take these six captions and create three groups of two text fields each. You can't group text that was once placeholder text for some reason.

Hi,I want to have a slide where there is an intercative 3D model that the user can rotate.Is it possible to do that in Captivate 9?My current 3D model is from Catia Composer if that makes any difference.I have looked through similar problems but I couldn't find anything useful for me.Thanks!

Hello,I understand that I might be using the term "embed" wrong, but what I mean is I want the interactive project to play on a website without launching in a new tab or window. I know that I need to host the project on a server. Assuming I do that (so I have a link to the project) how do I embed it? I'm new to all of this, so I'm not sure where to get started.  I see things like "iFrame" come up when searching online, but is that an old way of doing this or would that still work? And related, do you recommend a site for this, like Wordpress... Sqaurespace? Would it work on Google Sites?I have searched the forums and the only post I found close to this wasn't really answered.
