Hi all! It's possible to delete fluid boxes in a quizz slide? The master shows 6 fluid boxes but I need only three, one for each possible answer.Thanks.

I am newbie to Captivate and i am developing an e learning module in Captivate 2017Use Case :1st part : User selects an avatar (male/female). Based on the selection, for instance, if the user selects a male avatar, the training needs to continue with a male voice, similarly the training needs to continue with a female voice when user selects the female avatar. Though this can be achieved by having 2 set of slides with male and female audio and with GO TO action, is there a better way to do it.2nd part: There are multiple lessons in the module and based on the initial selection of the avatar in the first lesson, the entire set of lessons need to progress with the avatar's voice.Suggestion and help on resources will be appreciated.

Hi I'm trying to help a colleague with a project.It's been built in Captivate 2017 and have been previewing it in flash as well has HTML5, although it will be published to HTML5. They've noticed that some of the images in HTML5 preview look either fuzzy or less sharp then the same images in flash. I find this really weird as in the past I've usually found projects look sharper in HTML5 than when published in flash.I thought it was something unique to cap 2017 as I've been using version 9 up until recently. But I tested it in version 9 and cap the same thing. I've attached both pictures so you can see the difference - you can see it on the detail of the people and also on the button on the left. It's jagged in the HTML5 version but sharp in flash. It's not been set up in the ideal way. The image of the two people for example is actually  approx 2000 x 2000 px but has been scaled down in Captivate to 300 x 300. Recently I was publishing a new course and the sound didn't automatically start.  At first I thought it was a problem with my new course but then I went back to make some edits to an older course and re-published it and the same thing happened?  My course is temporarily housed on a server for the client to be able to view and what happens is that it loads and looks like it is playing (with no sound).  If you hit the fast-forward button and then the back button...the sound on the title slide will begin.  Has anyone else run into this recently?  Here is the demo hosting of the course so that you can see what I'm talking about - www.careydesigns.net/SNCCourseDemo/Module_1/index_scorm.html

Hello, I am attempting to create a number of flashcards using Adobe Captivate 2017 10.0 My issue is with grouping. I am familiar how to group (command g) and it seems to work fine with regards to moving the text that I placed inside the box as a unit. However, when the user clicks on the flashcard to see the answer (slide behind the original) the text stays while the box disappears. How do I make both the text and box one unit so they disappear together when the user clock on it?I am desperate for any advice on how to fix this issue. Thank you!Sara

I'm working for hours on end with drag and drop. If I do something stupid early on in the process, and want out...how can I escape it? So far when that happens, I make some fake moves thru all the steps, wait for it to finish processing the fakeness, and when it ends, I close the window and delete the interaction. Seems kind of drawn out. There must be an obvious way I'm missing?

I am using the Trial of Captivate 2017. I would like to test the "Publishing for Devices (App)". the PhoneGap desktop App shows "listening on 192.168.178.21:3000". After pressing"Publish" processing is shown:When 100  % is reached the error is shown.I would be very graatfull, if sombody could give mea helpful advice.Ruediger

I am currently using one of the Adobe Responsive Templates to recreate a former course created in Captivate. When I click on the various responsive options: Custom Tablet, Customer Mobile, ect. the words and images are being cutoff.How do I prevent that from happening

I am unable to get pass the email addresses. it keeps giving me a warning message saying invalid emails, but they are valid. any ideas?

Why is it that when I bring up the "Tab Order" box, it isn't populated with any of the objects that are on the slide. I have read the other blogs stating that slide needs to be selected and not the objects, and it still is not populating.Thank you for your time,Carol

Hi--Can someone please give me some details about the Internal Server reporting option works?Does this option only save data at the end of the course?What happens if someone leaves the course midway through and comes back? Will any data be saved or do people need to take courses all the way through without stopping?Is there any harm in my editing the internalServerReporting.php file to save data to my database instead of filling up the server with XML files?Is there any documentation on the saved data?I'm using Captivate 9 if that helps at all.Thank you!/kevin

Occasionally, the speech/computer voice will speed up and read lines of text at a very fast speed. I'm trying to use the VTML speed tags (<vtml_speed value=”30″>) to slow down the rate, but they don't seem to make a difference. I've tried ranges from 10 to 1000 and the computer's voice hasn't changed. I searched through the forums and saw that this was an issue in Captivate 5.5. Has this been fixed? And other than inserting VTML pauses or commas after every word, is there a workaround for this? I'm on version 10.0.0.193Thanks.

Hi,I have an issue with setting the slide duration via the properties area. Very often I want to reduce the duration of a slide to the point right AFTER the mouse object ceases its movement, i.e. 0.1 seconds later. When I type in the desired value in the “timing” tab, on some slides the duration does not change. Increasing the slide duration works always but I can’t reduce the duration.The mouse is in these cases the only object with a definite timing, so it seems there should be no problem. Most often the only other object is a highlight box with a variable timing ending simultaneously with the slide. I added a screenshot for an example timeline where I would like to reduce the slide duration to 2.4, but it does not work.When using drag&drop directly in the timeline, I can decrease the duration to the desired point, no problem. However in projects with many slides it would be much easier to be able to type in the specific time in the “timing” tab in the slide properties.The proble

Hi! I have created a content menu for my project. Created several buttons on the same slide. Only the first one works - which links to the next page. The rest of the buttons don't link to the slides though I have set it to "jump to slide - 5 slide 5". Please advise. Thanks!!

Hello,I am using Captivate 10, 2017 release.I am working on a project where I use web objects to show videos with a vimeo embed code. To prevent the videos to stay on top, I've changed the value of UseWidget7 to 1. That is working fine: the rest of the elements if the slide are shown on top of the video. The problem is that when I hover the mouse or click on the video, the playbar won't appear, so I can't pause it.Is there anything I can do to have the web object with the video regain its clickability?It works fine if the value of UseWidget 7 is 0 (but I don't want it to stay on top).Thank you!

Hello,I am trying to embed an HTML5 published Captivate 9 course into my Bluehost website. I have worked with importing a SCORM file into Moodle, and that worked great... but I am looking to be able to make something more accessible to learners (something that ends up looking like this: http://elearningtools.us/cp6/harmony/html5/Introduction%20to%20Harmony%20700/index.html). I have scoured forums and other help sites, but haven't been able to find the instructions that I require.Might anybody patient enough to type out some rather detailed instructions be able to help me out (i.e. "click here"... Hi,I am encountering a problem both in Captivate 8 and 9.First, when copying or duplicating a slide, some of the content is missing especially buttons, widgets, etc.Second, when trying to view the course whether as a published one or inline view (view from this slide, view next slide, etc.) content of the slide is also not showing.I already tried to uninstall/reinstall the application but the issue continues to exist.John

Hello, I'm creating a responsive project in Captivate 9 and it includes some HTML (.oam file) animations. When I add the animations to the slide I arrange them to be the furthest back object on the slide so that they're behind everything else. I made the animations in Adobe Animate CC and set the stage color to match the background of my slide so it blends together. This way I can have objects cross over the animation box space without any issue. However, when I publish the project the animation arranges itself in front of all other objects and so it covers up other objects on the page.Is there a workaround to this / setting that I can choose to change it? Or is there a way to publish my animations from Animate with a transparent background (sort of like a .png but with an animation?) Thank you !!Keely

I want to disable the next and back buttons on the playbar so that learners are forced to stay on that slide for x amount of seconds (usually matching audio length).  Is there a way to do that?

I'm working on a responsive Captivate project using breakpoints. I have included some buttons animations using Javascript and Web Animation API thanks to this awesome blog post - How to Animate Buttons (and lots of other cool Javascript stuff!) - eLearning I've noticed however, that the animations are not showing up on iOS devices (tested on an iPhone 6 and iPad air 2). Which initially didn't bother me too much (the users are still getting all the information they need), except for one specific slide where I have an item show and hide along with the animation and on the iOS devices it will show properly, but won't hide again like it is supposed to. Any ideas on workarounds or why it's different on iOS? Hi, is it possible to double or triple the speed of a slide?  For example, if I had a project with 4 slides, I would like slides 2 and 3 to be double the speed of slides 1 and 4.

We have created 30+ courses in Captivate 9.0.0.230 and have been publishing to Scorm 1.2, to HTML5.   We have some shape buttons on the question slides...  After they get a correct answer, we animate off the Submit button, and show a Next Shape button at 1.6 seconds.  This has ALWAYS worked fine.....  even up to 1 month ago, but suddenly, ALL of my shape buttons in questions (including a Menu & an Exit shape button)  are requiring a double click instead of a single click to function properly.  It does not occur when published to Flash, or published to HTML5 run stand-alone; it only occurs when published to HTML5 when run using IE11 through the LMS; (Chrome runs fine). This same method has worked fine all last year in the same LMS so we think it may be the latest update to IE11 but need some sort of solution because we cannot reversion our courses if there needs to be fixes.   We are using IE11.0.9600.    Does anyone have a
