I tried using the following JavaScript on slide enter. The click event registers OUTSIDE the slide but not inside. I am trying to import photos into  lightroom but when i click on a folder to import no photos show up.

Back with some more HTML5 questions. We are testing our courses currently working in SWF for conversion to HTML5.Here are a couple of issues I've found. Just wondering if others have noticed these and have a workaround?TEB: there is a visible line around TEBs in Chrome in HTML5. TEB: there is an X at the end of TEBs in IE in HTML5.Is there any way to make those lines and Xs go away?Thanks!

I'm converting a PowerPoint to a responsive project for a client and need to convert imported images into buttons. I used to simply add an invisible button in non-responsive projects. I'm not sure how to achieve the same results in within a fluid box. The 3 fluid box layout with the Next and Exit buttons are below. I need to figure out how to make the buttons work - thanks, Dan

Hello, I lead a team of animators who build eLearning courses using Captivate 2017 and one of my animator's is unable to preview his work using the HTML5 option or Browser option. When he chooses either one, the "Generating" window pops up and the loading bar completes its build, but once it does, nothing happens. He is working in Windows 10 and using Chrome.  He has no issues publishing his projects. They launch without any problems in Chrome. It's just the Browser Preview options that aren't working. The regular Project Preview works, but because we work on a stage that is larger than normal, he can't view the entire slide in the preview window so it is not an option for reviewing work. We do not use responsive projects. Instead, we publish using the "Scalable HTML content" option. Any info on how to troubleshoot this would be greatly appreciated!

Somehow, as I was trying to change the style of my quiz default buttons, I managed to change the default settings for the Normal, Rollover & Down defaults, and I can't correct them. My "Submit" button changes to "Back" on rollover. I thought for each of the buttons in Quizzing Objects, I could set the defaults by applying my choice to each one, but when I try that, they become global choices for all the other Buttons (image attached). Anyone have suggestions for how to fix this or get back to Captivate's default settings?

Hello!I am publishing a Captivate assessment as HTML5 (not SCORM packaged and no SWF) and need to be able to access the cpInfoPercentage system value (holds the quiz score as a percentage) in the published HTML/JavaScript code. Going through the published code, I am seeing where this variable is used to create the SVG image of the score number for the slide to be viewed in HTML in a browser. However, I am not sure I can grab this as a value.Has anyone done this and can offer any guidance or code they used to make it happen / test it?The reason I need to do this is because we are creating our e-learning courses in a way where we are either writing them in straight HTML / JavaScript or creating portions of them in Animate or Captivate and using the published code as modules inside an HTML player (basically the completed courses are a website that we package as a whole with a scorm packager). We currently are not able to use any of the assessment capability of Captivate because of the way

Hello,I am working on a video-based course. I have inserted a Vimeo video in the project using web object and embed code. The issue is that the video plays fine in Chrome browser but not in explorer/firefox. I tried adding trusted location for flash player, updating the flash player etc. Nothing seems to work. Any suggestions please?

I have a MAC - my boss has a PCI created a file in the latest update of captivate... Some of the images on the slide have delays, some have advance actions... On my side, when i publish it and test it via the .htm file or cloud or my LMS, it works fine. When my boss tries it, this page in question jumps to the next page half way through the interactions... I had him clear his cache, log in as a different user in my LMS and it still happens. Is this a common/known issue when it comes to PC vs MAC?Help!  How can i fix this?????Majority of my users are PC.

We would like to have the optional audio for the learner, using a button, so they can listen if they'd like to. As well, we need the closed captions to also work in sync when the play button is clicked if they decide to listen. I cannot figure out a way to all three of these at once:1. Create closed captions2. Only have audio play when a button is clicked3. Have the closed captions sync up with the audio since they would be related to the button rather than the slide audio/timeline.

If a user rollovers Things to Know, then I would like for the submenu containing Timeline and Privacy issues to show (look below). The user would then be able to click on a link in the submenu (such as Timeline) which would then redirect him/her to the appropriate slide. I am able to show the sub menu when the user clicks on the Things to Know using advanced actions, but I do not want the user to have to do an extra click. Is there a way to achieve this in the rollover state? Or, does it have to be an Advanced Action? I am open to suggestions and/or alternatives. I do not want to use the built in TOC.

I'm trying to download Captivate 2017 from Download Adobe Captivate free trial | Adobe Captivate (2017 release)  but Akamai Download Manager is just a blank screen. I have tried 4 different browsers (Chrome, Edge, IE, and Firefox) on 3 different computer systems (Windows 7 and 10, 64-bit) and none of them will start the download. This isn't limited to Captivate 2017, I received the same results when trying to download Premiere Elements and RoboHelp.In both cases, Chrome's Inspector shows two errors:dlmstrings_en.js:1 Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 (Forbidden)customdlm.js:1 Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 (Forbidden)Is there some way to resolve or get around this issue?

I have a few Fade In animations on some PowerPoint slides that, when I import into Captivate the objects with the animation either are already on the slide or they are not and there is just an empty space where the object should fade in to. Do you recommend not using animations in PowerPoint when importing into Captivate 7 or is there a trick to getting the animations to work?Thanks,Paul

My apologies if this has been answered. I could have overlooked it in my search of past discussions. I just signed up for a trial to Creative Cloud. I used Captivate years ago to create short, 3-5 minute web tutorials. I was able to edit audio, insert callouts and highlights and such into the video, and save as a youtube video. Since Captivate is not part of CC, what are my options in CC to do what I did in Captivate?

I have uploaded a project to LMS and with Audio added to slides (some are video demos) and also captions and it is all working correctly.I then uploaded a second project. This one the audio seems to stop before the last three words are heard. This can be for a single sentence or a paragraph and regardless of being added to a slide or a caption on a slide some of the slides are video demos. For example the sentence  'Clicking on to the link will enable you to access the form' you will only hear clicking on to the link will enable you to'What is more confusing the second project the slides are the same slides as in project one. (I just saved the project with a different name and then added more slides at the end for a group of different users). I can't figure out why when the second project is uploaded the audio on the same slides no longer has the last three words.I have tried republishing and uploading but it has made no difference.Any help gratefully received as this is all new t

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to make a button mandatory for a viewer to press before moving onto the next slide? Or any other options to prevent a user from simply bypassing a slide altogether?Thanks!

I've created an assessment which includes interactions - mostly click boxes and one drag and drop. On one of my slides, there are two methods to complete the task. If they select the first option, the project advances to the next slide. If they select the second option, the project jumps to a slide to complete the task.Each option is worth 6 points. For an individual task with two options, I only want to recognize 6 points instead of 12 points.  For example, Answer A is worth 6 points and Answer B is worth 6 points. When the test taker answers this question by answering A or B, they should receive 6 out of 6 but they are currently receiving 6 out of 12. How can I change the scoring so the alternative method is not included in the maximum score?

Hi, I have the Action of my Quiz Results slide set to email me "On Enter", but I thought it was going to email the Quiz Results and it did not, is there a way to have the score showing in the Quiz Results emailed to you?  Thanks!  

I have images on a slide that appear a specific times along the timeline.  They appear in sync with a video that plays at the start of the slide.  On the main menu a button is pressed to jump to the slide with the images and video.  When I Project>Preview, I press the button to jump to the slide, but the time from the time of clicking on the button to when the slide begins is several seconds.  When the slide plays, the video plays, but there is a now a delay for the images to appear, the video and images are not out of sync.  I'm concerned due to the lenght of video (6 minutes) and number of images (36), its taking too long to load.  It there a fix to this.  I use png images, and I try to keep their files size to to a miminum.  Thank you.

Is there a JavaScript code that I can execute that will keep keyboard focus on a button after activation? The problem I am having is that when using a screen reader sometimes when I select a button, like a custom Mute button, in Captivate the keyboard focus will revert back to the overall slide and not stay on the button that was selected. 

Hi,From what I have read, I should be able to copy text from Illustrator (CC 2018) and paste it into a Captivate (2017) slide and have it automatically preserve the formatting from Illustrator. Instead it is just pasting as whatever default style Captivate is set to. Is there a way to change this? I am currently copying the text into a text caption box. Am I doing this wrong, is there another way to paste text? If I just copy paste without creating a text caption, it pastes as an image. Which is nice but not what I want. Thanks!

HelloI'm fairly new to Captivate and still trying to teach myself. I need to create a training course where the user specifies a correct valve sequence by selecting valves and choosing whether they should be open or closed. I have the entire system drawn out as a vector illustration and I thought it would be fairly easy to import that into Captivate so that I could select the shapes, but I'm not having any luck with that. The user would only get the question correct if they got the entire sequence correct.I was wondering what the best and most simple way to do this would be?The only thought I have had is to insert the graphic with all the valves numbered and then have a drop down box for each valve where they can select open or closed.Thank you!
