Hey There, First off, i want to say how much i love this software. It has expedited so much of what i wanted to do for my animation project. Thank you OKSamurai and the entire character animator team. why i am here today. I recently followed along the ok samurai "motion library" tutorial, and rigged a character on a 3/4 turn. I am running into a small problem with the preset motions.Due to the grouping of the torso and limbs together (in a body folder), the characters left arm ends up passing between his head and torso rather than in front of his head. I've tried taking the left arm out of the body grouping/folder but then everything starts to float in air. my goal: i would like have his left arm (and hand) pass in front of his face so it doesn't look like the character is chopping through his head. Is this possible? Thank you in advanced.
Hellow. I have my PS files saved to the creative cloud no problem. But I can't figure out haw to save my Character Animator project to the creative cloud so I can continue to work on it on my laptop and desktop.Save project as has not creative cloud save option that I can see. Copy media files into a project folder has no option either. (No files outside the projet folder message).I'm stuck. Help!
My puppet is having truoble with it's eye gaze. When she looks a certain way it only moves one eye. For instance, I click for her to look left and only the left eye moves very far but the right barely moves or doesn't at all. It's the same when she looks right, only the right eye strongly moves but the left doesn't. It's like they aren't connected..
As per your suggestion, here is my puppet file to fix issues.Your help will be much appreciated.I will learn so much about rigging. Your videos have already helped me so much. I can't thank you enough.
Since I have updated from 22.4 when I try to create a custom walk cycle the puppet doesn't seem to go back to initial stationary pose when blending out the takes. The feet just stay stuck to wherever they initially land instead of sliding back to starting position with the blending option... is this just how the updated software works now?
I had a portrait puppet as my first attempt. Then I wanted to create a full body puppet using the portrait puppet as a starting point but have had nothing but problems since. I thought the problem might be in creating the same artboard so I adjusted that issue and now (see below) I cannot get this to work.
Hi, my puppet disappear when i turn on face tracking. and it becomes worse when i turned on body tracking to. do you know how to solve this problem? or maybe it is a bug?here i attached the video
To be honest I hadn't updated character animator since the motion library came out because I was working on an animated series for 3-4 years. Now That I finished and updated I can't seem to be able to put a dragger on a toe layer and have it do anything. Only the heel tag dragger is working. Issue is when I try to create a running animation the toes should bend up and down to look natural and that no longer works. Is this a user error or is that just no longer able to work with the newer updated version?
Did they recently redesign the Chloe starter character? I'm trying to follow this really good beginner's tutorial (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G9DkEIYJ2lo&list=PLq4LynfF_r14w2SwicfetcReq8Y0f_lg_) that uses the basic Chloe puppet. But the rigging seems entirely different, as I can't do simple things he does in the tutorial like click and drag her arms, or use body tracking. Am I doing something wrong, or did they eliminate some of these features from Chloe in the 2 years since the tutorial was published?
Hi Everyone, Hope you are doing well. I recentrly updates my BIOS i think 2 weeks ago and my graphics card couple days ago from MSI and character animator has been crashing lately every couple of minutes after 15 to 20 mins it crashes, i checked if my drivers they are up to date, checked if my gpu and working properly, checked bios nothing changed it just shows character animator gpu error or error. GPU:MSI Radeon RX 6650 XT GAMING X 8G Gaming Please Help, Thank you.
Yesterday my puppet file easily added to scene. However today, it will not open to scene. The pop-up says:Invalid image file.Error code: (changeNotifier.js:49)Error code: (engine.js:1228)Error code: (bootstrap.js:3)How do I fix this?

Hi everyone. I'm new to this and have my character working pretty well but I want to hot key a trigger so the chracter sits on the floor (body level change) in a meditation position. My problem is the standing head stays in place and disconects from the meditation body when I press the hot key.I'm sure I'm missing something basic to make the head follow.
I tried to rig this puppet to walk but i dont know what im doing wrong, why the ankles are moving so deformed. I got the puppet to walk but i need to understand the proper way to rig. Can someone please help rig the puppet i attached and explain to me where i went wrong? Please and Thank You
Recently I added some Left Quarter / Right Quarter head turns to a puppet I created in Illustrator, and then applied the Head & Body Turner behavior. However in doing this, CA deleted a bunch of behaviors I had attached to the Frontal head (and thus propogated to the quarter view heads too)... I lost all my cycle animations on mouth visemes and lost my hair dangles... is there any way to avoid this when creating these head turns on my next puppet? It's tedious to have to go back and all the behaviors to all 3 views. Is there a particular sequence of steps to follow so that CA doesn't "forget" all the behaviors when I start mucking around with the heirarchy in Illustrator?
I have imported individual (multi-track view) tracks from Audition audio files. I then chose the character and audio and armed Lip Sync and did "Compute Lip Sync Take From Scene Audio"). Everything went well and the character moves his mouth perfectly along with the audio. Only thing is that although the character is chosen (red dot) and moves his body freely, when I start playing his audio, he moves his mouth and the rest of the body freezes and I can't move anything. Only the mouth moves when playing audio. When I stop the audio, I can suddenly move the character again. Is there a way that I might have saved or exported the file incorrectly or is this simply a setting in Ch that is affecting the character's other movements? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there,I have a few little issues.Firstly, my character is warping strangely, especially in the face. I never had this problem before, but I also recently added hair, and in order to make it stay behind the outline of the face, I had to separate the Face Background into separate layers: face background and face outline. Also I'm having trouble attaching sticks to the arms (it just won't let me). If anyone has had this problem before, please let me know!I'm including a screenshot of the psd file, just in case anyone can spot some immediate flaws that jumps out.
Hello, can someone please help me? I purchased this puppet dog and coloured black. All went well, but now I see the left eye on the left quarter head is not showing up. I have tried everything; going through the settings slowly, comparing the settings line for line with the right eye, duplicated an eye and lastly restarted my laptop. Nothing worked. I can see the eye clearly in Illistrator, so it's driving me insane! Please let me know what you need from me. First time in any forum in my life. this stuff is hard, but the most fun I have had in years! Happy New yearDm

Hi Character Animator team, I love your app, and have been using it a ton. 🙂 After updating the app, all of my characters are now bending oddly. I can no longer reproduce the content I have been. Is there anything I can do to adjust this manually within the editor in the non-beta or bets version? I redownloaded the non-beta older version to 23.0 and the same bending issue is happening. See below attached example. My character's arms are swinging twice at a time. I've attached the video. Any ideas?
Hello,I have a question.It's about Control and Trigger window. I have a swap trigger folder for the left hand with only the hands.I have a swap trigger folder for the right hand, also just hands.And I have a swap trigger folder for graphics that shows both arms (plus sleeve plus arm). How can I set it up that when i click on an image of folder "two arms", the hands (of both hands folders) disappear from the folder "right hand" and "left hand"?I also tried to put every grafic in one swap triger folder but I have a problem then with the sleeve and the arm, (always left oder visable).Thank you for help.Kind happy greetings from Berlin, GermanySimona 🙂
