Hello. The Adobe Charater Animator 2024 screen is blurry. How can I see the puppet clearly? I've double-checked the PSD layers and verified the PSD location (it's in the same folder as the Ch project). I downloaded the Ch app via Creative cloud a few days ago. The app was working fine yesterday but not today. Has anyone had this issue?
Does the elgato cam link 4k not work with character animator? Mine says camera not available as well as not fully supported.
I am developing a pilot for a series that involves multiple characters on screen simultaneously. I will be creating the characters in ACA and then importing them (with alpha channel) into Premiere to edit the pilot.Does anyone have any workflow recommendations for dealing with multiple voice audio tracks. The challenge is acting out each character's talking AND listening segments efficiently. I'm not sure if bringing in the entire audio track for the whole show makes sense to be able to heart the timing of the listening parts... or just bringing in the spaced audio track for each individual characters with the listening parts quiet makes the most sense. Unfortunately you can't move audio tracks within ACA. You can only move visenes. thanks!
I'm just starting out with recording two puppets (sometimes 3) interacting together in Adobe Ch. I'm watching Okay Samurai videos on YouTube because I can't find comprehensive training anywhere else. Okay Samurai talks about having a separate scene for each puppet. I've seen other advice to add multiple puppets into one scene. Is there a good reason I should put individual puppets into individual scenes rather than all together into the same scene? Any explanation about scenes and resources for thorough training in Ch would be much appreciated! [Mod Note: Moved to appropriate forum}
Hi, I have always made my own customizable puppets by using the Layer Picker function. Today I opened up an old puppet, and that functionality seems to have been broken in the year or two since I last worked with this puppet. But all the functionality seems to be in Puppet Maker now, and I see that some community users have been able to make Pupper Maker templates. How does one get to do that? I applied with the Google form back in 2022 but never heard back.
The current how to on Life streaming by Dave Werner Okay Samurai contains links and descriptions of links that are old, outdated and perhaps obsolete? I have downloaded and re-downloaded files and can't seem to understand how they all fit together. Please someone help! If I ask for help at adobe will they redirect me to someone on your team or like last week, wasting a couple of hours trying to troubleshoot a problem that they were obviously incapable of solving? I got off the line and within a half hour figured out that problem. But the OBS and the NDI. I really don't understand how these components work and it's hard to follow along when I can't actually find the files online because they seem too old. Somebody please!!!!
I searched the forum and found a similar issue from 2018, sounded like a bug back then but I'm not sure if it's still there or I'm doing something wrong. I'm doing a lot of animated bits for a broadcast job. I have rigged my own puppets and for the most part they are doing the simple things I ask of them (basic body tracking and some walking). I just did a new scene that had two of my puppets sitting down and then toasting with champagne glasses, so all I needed to move were the arms holding the glasses. Their rest pose is standing with arms akimbo and legs straight, so before a take I bend their legs so that they're sitting and put the non-moving arm on an armrest, then hit Record and drag the other arm for the toast. It all works... until I hit stop. As soon as I stop recording all the limbs snap back to the default position. If I play back the limbs go back to the recorded positions but still snap back to default when I pause. Obviously if I disarm the puppet then they stay p

Hey there -I'm working on two characters with the artwork done in Illustrator and I'm trying to rig the arms with hinges for the upper arms and forearms. It's hard to get them to appear natural when they reach up. Also, they tend to start "jittering" by themselves in record mode. The legs are looking a litte funky with how the mesh distorts around the feet as well. Could someone take a look at the puppets and offer any advice on how to improve them? p.s. is it OK to post my .puppet file?
Hi. I’m making progress! But i have a puppet like the one used in the head turns and parallax tutorial, that is, one without actual arms. How do I raise the shoulders and make the torso more expressive?
Help! I've tried to match the settings and tags from Chad on the home screen to my character but my left pupil just goes where it wants and the top of my head moves with my eyebrows, which actually don't move that much. I can't share my character b/c it's not public ready but I have taken screen shots of the layers, the behaviors and the errors. I will say that my character is set up so that the face is infront of the eyeballs to try to cover the pupils when they dart to the side (he's reptillian in nature so his eyes are wideset and bulge out past the line of the face shape)
need to find missing chproj. files after doing a reinstall of windows and adobe character animator. is there a way to find a log of autosaved versions it made lately?
Hello friends, I have just started using this program, but the puppets offered to me by the program do not download, it gives an error, the number of backgrounds is insufficient, is it possible to download them from somewhere else?
Greetings Everyone,I have a problem like this; When I export my character, which moves smoothly in Character Animator, as an alpha channel, it gives an error.Media encoder is up to date by the way,You can see what I'm trying to understand from the Drive link.To overcome this, I did the following and it didn't work:- I deleted the character from CH, imported it again and rigged it again,-I updated the media encoder-I tried to export alpha channels in different formats.https://drive.google.com/file/d/1mZHcpLx_NYEsrqOT3C7UT1wM9BKQmdeQ/view?usp=share_link https://drive.google.com/file/d/1hL9wtQjSFQqKMs_OfU0z0YS8THYIslK0/view?usp=share_link
Dear CH folks, I am rigging my Charcter and have almost finished. But when I try recording it, my character movements are jittery. I tried other "complicated" characters from @oksamurai and dont have this issue. I also noticed that the actual FPS is lower than the scene settings (I am not sure if this cause the problem tho and i dont know how to fix it, either :D).Please watch it in this video: https://vimeo.com/901563229/ddfa53801b You help is really appreciated. Thank you so much for your time,Tony
Hi, I was just curious if you can add somekind of an affect once the particle collides for example i have a snow ball with the particle physics system i collide it with a box once it collides the snow ball breaks and the box which is a cycle layer (In short i want them to break once they collide with each other) is there a way to do it live i know i can do it while recording and stuff but i want to make a mini game for a live class. If you can't will there be somekind of a system once it collides a trigger activates in the future. Thank you.

Hello everyone!! I am working on an animation project and have encountered a few minor issues with the final stages. First, how can I adjust the shoulders and arms to make them look more realistic and natural. It seems that the shoulders "round" out when the hands and bend down to the side. Second, when moving the arms the elbow bend is quite strange. It seems to be a rounded bend rather than at an angle. Also, when the hands move over the shoulder area, they come behind the should but in front of the torso. Im sure this is as easy as adjusting limb IK, but I have tried everything! Please offer suggestions/advice. I will attach some reference pictures below.

Hi, I have been working with CH for a couple of months now and I have a couple of really beefy scenes that are causing some lag and it is hard to work like this. I have seen some videos by digital puppets saying you can lower the resolution and resize your puppets to help with this but those videos seem dated. Is this really the best workaround? I have about 10 characters for this scene and they are all moving a bunch and are using the camera for different shots. This is in CH and I have yet to export this to AE. Would exporting it to AE and then using the render feature help with the lag? Would I export the entire scene including all the characters or do a scene for each character and then line them up in AE? Just trying to learn the best way to do things because I am still new to this stuff.
When exporting a recording in Adobe Character Animator using "scene camera" to Media Encoder the size of the scene readjusts itself to make the cut larger. Does anybody have an idea why this readjusting happens? I've already tried rebooting and also taking off other animations in the scene. Please note, this doesn't happen with other scenes.Thank you very much for your help in advance.
Just wondering if there is a good resource for buying puppets. I'm not an artist. So, I don't want to try and start from scratch. I'm looking for normal human characters.
In an Adobe Illustrator project we have a rectangle and a circle that we want to animate separately with the Transfer tool in Adobe Character Animator.
Hello,I'm new to Animator and looking to resize a puppet and drag it to the corner of the scene. However, anytime I try to click and drag the character, it remains rooted to the spot in the centre of the screen. Any advice on how to fix this would be much appreciated! Thanks.
