Hi Everyone,I hope its not just me who things this would be cool. I love that Fuse can export characters to Photoshop. It would really be amazing for it to export to Character Animator as well. This would open up a world of possabilities. ThanksGem

(ptscr are attached)Maybe the issue is in the precise position of sticks and dragger? But I can't find this position for the second hand. Will be thankful for any of your ideas? In my project, the head is moving with the camera across the screen, while still connected to the body, making a very long neck. There is a head turner behaviour which works, but I would like the head to just turn on it's axis, not to the side of the screen. If I add a Fixed Pin, it just distorts the head and stretches from that individual point. Is there a way to make the head fixed, without pinning ?Here is a Youtube link to what I am talking about:Character Animator Head Distortion - YouTube
Most of the animation was done in Character Animator and After Effects. I'd love to have some meaningful feedback and discuss techniques a bit with those who are interested. If there's a better place in the forums to show things off and get feedback, let me know (if there isn't, I think there should be).Marshmallow Stew on Vimeo Thanks,Chet
Hi there,I was wondering if there is a way to stop the tail of a take layer from automatically moving the head of another take layer? Currently if I have 2x 30 sec takes for head turner, I want to be able to trim the first take from 0-10 and the second take from 20-30 but CH won't allow this. I have to manually drag take 2 out of range of take 1 and then drag back to break the relationship. Is there an easier way to turn off this behavior? I get why it would be handy, but much like FCPX's magnetic timeline, it can also impede productivity when a user need to target specific segments of each take. Thanks!David
This is newbie for the character animator..The movement of my puppet is should be walking and then stop and turn around. However, I try to using the scale x to make my puppet reverse, the reverse is making the whole puppet mirrored also with the walking movement. How do I make it just look like turning around? Hope anyone can help this newbie, thankssss!
Hello guys. It has to be smthng obvious but I cannot figure it out. I have a character standing with arms down. When I want to wave his hand and say Hi the wrist/hand has to flip horizontally when the arm is up. But it is not changing automatically. Changing atttach style for arm doesn't change it either.Maybe the solution doesn't exist still in the last version of the program? Can you advice me what to do?Thanks a lot for help.

Accessing Charater Animator?
Reasons for doing this:I don't have a camera, that's why I'm trying to figure out how to create a character that doesn't involve video mimicking.Questions & Problems:Is there a way to create eyes on different positions with blinking? For example:On SCENE MODE with KEY TRIGGERSpress 1(with latch on) = eyes in original position(looking forward) + with auto-blinkpress 1(with latch on) one more time to turn off the original eye, then press 2(with latch on) = eyes looking left of the scene + with auto-blinkWhen I moved it to the record scene, the auto-blink works only on the right blink and the left blink disappears. The idea was to create a character with eyes looking at other directions with blinking as well.Is there an easier way to operate it?
okay samuari video here states that moving a puppet element such as a mouth can be easily dragged into an existing puppet however never really clarifies how that is done. This is mentioned here What's New In Adobe Character Animator CC Beta (November 2016) - YouTube I have tried to play around with it to see what I can accomplish and when I drag a mouth.puppet around in the software it only seems like I can add it to a scene, not an existing puppet easily. I can add it in as a separate puppet in the scene (so now there are two puppets), but again, Im trying to just replace lets say a mouth on one puppet with another mouth (not really trying to make two puppets). The okay samurai video says this is easy and places a new mouth (already rigged) and so on. Does anyone know how? Thanks! Also, out of curiosity he shows a mouth and eyes template there and says theyre posted via the links below but for the life of me I cant find an eye template... he has a cool one built with eyes that the pupi
Hi, the left eyebrow of my puppet is somehow not responding as well as the right one. Moves just a little bit. I made sure there is no hidden or far point in my .ai in that layer nor tag issue in my character animator project ! I've been trying for hours and still don't know why. Thanks !I can send the .ai if needed !ThanksClément
i was using character animator for 4 days in trial mode but than all on a sudden i am having this problem and i have a dedicated gtx 750ti gpu and all the drivers are up to date and open gl version 4.4 , what can be the solution?
EDIT: Whoops, I found the answer in this thread! How do I use a variety of mouth sets while computing lip sync from scene audio? I have a talking character who I want a default neutral state for, and also a worried state. I'm starting off with a 2 frame eyebrow change and a different mouth set.My eyebrow replacement worked great - 'w' triggers a concerned eyebrow animation which replaces the default eyebrow.I thought I could do the same with a mouth replacement so I made 2 subfolders within the +Mouth folder - 'Normal' and 'Worried', which has subtly different mouth shapes. When I trigger the worried state with the 'w' key, I see the new worried neutral mouth but the lip syncing animation stops and he's just mute! How can I have him continue talking with a worried face, but using the new folder of mouth shapes for lip sync? (I don't want to replace the entire head folder with a worried version although I know that works too.)
I just made my first mouth for a monkey puppet. It works well except that if doesn't attach itself to the face. It tends to slide left and right.Any ideas? Thanks.Dan
Hi, I want to share share some sneak peaks from a music video with you exclusively. (I had posted some of my progress on Twitter and Instagram)I think youll have fun watching. It features a lot of characters animated with CH. I’ve been working on it the last couple of months. When Adobe released the update featuring the walk cycle I practically started over and added more action to my original script. The music in the video is quite fast and requires a lot of action, so the had to be some kind of movement all the time, therefore I kept the characters quite simple in a complex environment with continuous motion. (I had to learn AE from scratch for this project, too …)Of course, I’ll post the link to the complete video when it’s out. It will be released in August maybe.Character Animator Sequences - YouTube My favourite use of the walk cycle: A funny choreography.

Hello,Hi Guys,I try to animate diffrent parts of the Face in Character Animator independently of each other. But Character Animator overwrites animations that have not been armed by me.More precisely,First, I activate the eyebrows and record my performance. Then I unarm the eyebrows and arm another face controll to record the next facial feature. However, the complete eyebrow peformance I've recorded before is then overwritten. Is it possible at all to record face controlls individually from each other?
I created a character in Illustrator alongside the default puppets provided. Everything looks good but while the default puppets arms bends in spaghetti like along X,Y- clockwise, my puppets arm bends in a Z direction (3D) or comes forward-ish meaning they can never wave. When I add the stick tool to make it bend better, it acts as if its pinned with only skin being pulled/warped.I even took the arms from the default character and put them on mine, but they react the same warpish way. Please see screenshots. HELP!!
I made a character in Illustrator and now I cant seem to get the arms to be separate from the body and coat. I tried taking away the coat and putting more sticks and making them independent but it just stays stuck.
