Hi,When I first started, the eyes were tracking great, and when I open up a new template project those eyes work great too, so it must be something on my end but I can't for the life of me figure out what it is. I thought I tagged everything correctly but what am I missing? Thanks for your help!
When I try to use puppet maker ,I can't change the background it stays on the default background and when i try to import my background this is how it looks like.what can I do?
Hi I rigged a character to work as I needed and then decided to give her a clipboard so she didn't need to worry about her hands. I copy pasted the photoshop file and matched the rigging to the working character and they behave differently. One bends at the hips like a human the other bends like a rubber doll, getting longer and stretched. What am I missing, I can't see any differences between the 2 apart from the removal of the arms. I have attahced a video to show what I mean https://youtu.be/6GtEx-4wcTw
I'm working with a vector (.ai) character. But I have two conflicting things:1. The character has a gradient "glow"layer behind it2. I want to run the Wiggler behavior on a separate layer of the character ... which requires me to Render as Vector ... which makes the gradient not work.If I were to make the gradient glow a separate character (not Rendered as Vector), is there an automated way to have that Glow character exactly track the positioning/scale/etc. of the main character? So that, essentially, I could stack the one on top of the other and they would basically behave as a single character?
大家好: 小弟想求助一個問題?請問如何把character animator軟體中文化求解,感謝
Just working on my first project. For basic use it's working great. But I wanted to add a swap set face—the character is by default grumpy, and I wanted a comical version where he's trying to smile. I have the swap set smile (grimace) working just fine—the Neutral mouth is a slightly frowny grimace, the Smile is barely upturned, and Surprised is just slightly wider and more upturned. This is fun, because I can trigger the swap with the "S" key and perform all those variations with the face tracking camera (rather than having to Except ... none of my eye movements are working in the Grimace swap set. No blink tracking, no eyebrow tracking (the eyebrows in the swap point slightly upward, rather than the neutral downward), and even the manual left-right looking (triggered by the arrow keys) doesn't work when I'm in the swap. Any ideas? I see that Properties > Replacements only shows the Neutral blinks, and no eyebrows at all. Not sure how to fix that...
The answer to this is most probably very simple but when I draw a character in Illustrator and try and reduce the number of sub-layer the best I can do is as below: Taking the left eye brow, as an example, I have the main layer and a secondary layer thereafter. But if you look at the 'Blank Face AI' that comes with the Character Animator program program they have each feature of the face to a single layer as shown below. I am sure this is a simple fix to copy but can someone tell how they simplify the Illustrator drawing like this so I can emulate it. Thank you.
I am trying to find a puppet I can use Motion Library on. I have tried CowFolk, Nagisa, and Hunter. I have gone into Ps and separated the limbs. The walk cycles work, but I can not get the Motion Library motions to do anything. I have watched Motion Library, Walk, and Limb IK. I know from experience it will be between a simple red dot or a complete rebuild of the Character. Any help is appreciated.
I can't install the program. When I try to install it, it jumps from 88% to 90%. The program won't open. Please help.
Hi,I am attempting to create a bird beak style mouth using nutcracker, I can not seem to get the hinge factor to work.Nutcracker is working but I can't seem to activate the hinge.Help would be welcome. Thanks
This error code is showing when I try to open my work in character animator, "(2061843879:386+24) table index is nil". My whole work for 8 months. Please help. I don't have any back up.Then I traced and discovered it has to do with my ROPE File. Please help me.Thanks.
Character Animator 25.0, Mac OS 13.6.7 (22G720) VenturaI will preface this by saying I learned enough of CA 4 years ago in order to animate a client's cartoon logo man. Came out pretty good for a beginner. Now, after having forgotten most of it, I need to add to one of these animations. Imagine an arm that goes up where a basketball ball is added in AE. Now, when the arm gets to the top, I need to animate a slam dunk motion. The orginal animation was me dragging the mouse to move the IK chain up and a little side-to-side motion to imply balancing the ball. I thought I could easily switch to manual keyframing at that moment, but I can't figure out how. I can't see any keyframes in the timeline in the Record tab (not sure if mouse motion shows keyframes anyway), but not sure how to proceed. Videos I've found online show people selecting their puppet, clicking the stopwatch and going from there. Keyframes clearly visible. Not mine.Any help would be greatly appreciated.
When manually placing visemes to a waveform in the Timeline, I've noticed they consistenly perform later than they've been placed. It's kind of a guess where the appropriate placement should be to sync the visemes to the audio. Is this normal behavior for Character Animator? Is there a way to fix this? Thanks.
Good morning everyone who may be reading this. I'm exploring the possbility of using Character Animator for a project, but when I load the program, I recieve the following error: "Could not delete the file '\\cslg1.cslg.net\USPLHomeDrv\HDrive\William.Camp\MyDocuments\Adobe\Character Animator\Character Animator Project 4\Ch Data\temp.noindex\complier\Behaviorparambootstrap.js'." After clicking "OK", I am able to continue; however, when I attempt to open a template or puppet from the home page, I recieve another error: "Internal error code: (1109000933:349+8) bad argument #1 to 'Localize' (string expected, got nil)" I'm attempting to use Character Animator for a fairly large animation project coming up; however, if I cannot figure out what is causing the issue, I may have to go with a different program. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Warm Regards, -Billy
Is it possible to record a Lip Sync with phonemes comprised of a cycle of 3 layers? I've currently got them as a trigger but I'd rather automate the process than record the trigger myself as sometimes it doesn't pick up my keys.
Hi everyone, I’m using Adobe Character Animator as part of my Creative Cloud plan, and I’m wondering if it’s possible to automate a puppet’s arm movements based on imported audio. For example, in Adobe Express, the animation automatically includes lip sync and some body movements (like arm gestures) when audio is added, but it’s limited to two minutes. I’d like to achieve something similar in Character Animator but without manually triggering every arm motion. Is there a way to automate this, or do I need to use manual triggers for the puppet’s arm movements while it talks? Any guidance would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!
Is it possible to set up my own .maker files for the Puppet Maker within Character Animator? I'd love to set up some puppets in this way but I can't find any information on how to create my own .maker files.
I'm trying to stream with my puppet, but ACA freezes up when I click away. The Puppet is in OBS via NDI just fine. The "Disable Mercury Output" option is unchecked, but I've fiddled around with checking it I don't know what else to try. It seems so straight forward! Thanks so much!
Hello everyone,I stumbled upon Ch while looking into character rigging for games. I’m searching for a simple way to create character animations that I can export as frame-by-frame sequences for Godot. My game is top-down (similar to Binding of Isaac, Pokémon, Stardew Valley, Brotato), so I need 4-directional animations (front, back and both sides). Is it possible to achieve this in Adobe Character Animator? I’ve had trouble finding tutorials or breakdowns for creating frame-by-frame animations in 4 directions without using pixel art, so any advice or resources would be greatly appreciated!
I've run into an issue that I haven't experienced before. When I use recorded audio, my lip sync jaw doesn't move, but when I speak using my desktop mic it does. I believe my settings are the same as a previous episode I did where it worked, so no idea why this might be happening. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!- Mark
Hi everybody! I’m new to character animator and have been working on creating a puppet with 5 facial profiles (LP, LQ, Frontal, RQ, RP) and 3 body profiles (LP, Frontal, RP) in illustrator. When I had my character rigged with less behaviors, things were working well, but as I’ve added a couple of new behaviors (walk, motion library & breathe) along with the LP & RP body profiles, some things aren’t working anymore and I’ve noticed a couple of other quirks with the character. Any help or suggestions to fix these issues or improve the character are much appreciated, thanks! Issues:Head is flying off of the bodyWhen head turns, shoulders and arms are movingHaving Issues with walking behaviorHaving issues with motion libraryEyebrows are barely moving at all only on Left Profile. I have full expression in all of the other 4 facial profiles.A couple of “rigging issues” present on the puppet that I can’t get to the bottom ofI’d like both arms in the frontal body view to be in fro
Good morning I am having issues trying to sync my Character puppet with a Greek MP3 file. My intent is to have the puppet lip sync to the music but when there are no words the puppets mouth still moves. What would be the recommended actions to resolve this. I have tried to use the timeline compute to lip sync scene audio but that does not seem to work.
Hi, I'm using my character as a narrator in a news story, and I will add video B-roll in the background (I do this via the dynamic link to After Effects, and add the video there). As my b-roll switches I want to be able to switch the position of my character. Therefore I have sliced my puppet into shorter sections in Character Animator, and set different x,y positions and scale for the different sections, synced with the B-Roll switch. I would also like the arms (for example) held in a specific position the beginning of each new section. For that I put the arms in the position I want them to be, press record and quickly stop the recording. Then, drag this "Dragger" element in the timeline to be as long as the section. But the problem is that in the first few frames, for some reason the character "moves" into place before taking and holding the position of the arms I want to have as the starter position. See video attached and you will know what I mean, the wrists are mo
I can get my puppet to move body and head but not mouth movement at all. See attached my mouth open and her closed. Thanks
