Greetings,So our client is asking for the meeting login link well in advance of the meeting (to distribute to his staff), but of course we're still testing and setting pods up in the meeting room.Can we provide the link/invite, but prohibit their ability to login in advance and putter around, seeing things that aren't ready for prime time?Oh, and please forgive asking another question that should probably be a second post, but has anyone come up with a default graphic/pdf/ppt slide to be the first thing people see as they enter? Seems like it would be useful to provide some generic, graphical instructions to ease the uninitiated into the Connect world, pointing out what they may need to set up to particpate fully...thanks,Steve

Logitech is releasing several new HD webcams and I am wondering if they are compatible with Adobe Connect Meetings.  The one I am thinking of getting is the Logitech HD Pro C910.  Is it worth getting a better webcam for our meetings/seminars?  Can Adobe Connect support HD video (I think I saw in another thread that it crops/distorts it.thanks very much for the help!

Anyone know if the AdobeConnect 30-day trial allows access for multiple webinar attendees?  i.e. can I have 50-60 people on a webinar if I'm still using the trial version? Thanks!

As a user logged onto a meeting room all day every day where the primary communication in the room is chat between members, I am looking for a way for the room to notify me with a tone that a chat message has been received.Is such a notification available, and if so, how to turn it on?  (As a room user, not host).Thanks in advance.Steve

I'm not an Adobe expert and I use Adobe on a weekly basis.  I'm looking for batch processing in Adobe X.  Under prior versions of Adobe this was under Advanced --> Document Processing --> Batch Processing.I need to apply "print only" security to 100s of files and I'd like to run a batch process.  First, I'd like to know where batch processing has moved to.  If it's gone, then I'd like to know another way to apply security to multiple files.Thanks, Paul.

Hi, I've used Connect Pro to sit in on some classes, and it's worked pretty well. Now I'm evaluating Connect 8 and looking for some specific features.I've got the 30-day trial to test it out, and the one thing I'd like, but I can't seem to find is a way to give different visual weight to different video sources. I'm thinking of something like Skype where my own video is in a PIP window with the other parties' video maximized.It seems logical to me that, as a host, I should able to assign a presenters' video to the big "Share" pod, and keep other participants' webcam feeds smaller. But it doesn't seem that I can do that. I can make the whole video pod bigger, but it still gives equal visual weight to all sources. I'd like one to be bigger than the others.Is this possible in Connect 8? I can't seem to find any documentation on it, so I'm thinking not. But maybe I'm missing something.Any help is appreciated. I would like to be able to create multiple pre-sets that I can switch on the fly. For example, my first pre-set could be my camera fairly large and my PowerPoint small but at the touch of a single button (or key or mouse click) they would instantly but smoothly swap sizes. I could return them to the original pre-set by touching another button (or key, etc.). I'd like to create a few different pre-sets for use under differing condition. Is such a thing possible and, if so, can you point me to info on the solution?Thanks.

Hi all,We have quite a few doctors at our organisation wishing to use Adobe connect for webconferencing, however when we get invited to a meeting we can never seem to find any buttons to share or broadcast our webcam?We can see the webcam is connected when we go into the "choose webcam" toolbar, and we can see our little image which tells us it is working, but we can't seem to work out how to broadcast it?For example, when using MSN messenger or Skype, there is normally a small button that you click on to share video.Am I missing something? Hello, one of our clients has a hosted recording with video that has been working fine until recently.  When playing back the recording, the video is now missing and just shows a black screen where the video footage should be.We have tried on both Windows and Mac and reinstalled Flash Player, but the video does not load.How do I troubleshoot this?

Hi, we cant download documents in Adobe Connect, system write writes "it is impossible to transform a file".  We cant download all types files, in many adobe connect rooms, what happened?!

I had a number of rooms with persistent content spread across many different pods, which I would meet daily and weekly with a team to update.  This has been working fine for a number of weeks but last night all my saved pods were lost and the rooms went back to default.  I've lost lots of information due to this, has anyone else experienced this and if so is it possible to get the information back?

Hello.Is there any way to tie down users logins to one time only? At present you can login with the same login several times in the same meeting, but I need this to be set to allow each login to be connected only once and not have multiple logins with the same name.Thanks.

Trying to publish a simple Captive v5 software demo to an Adobe Connect v8 server.If I try to publish to a 'room' (i.e. www.example.com/roomname/), I get 'the selected resource does not exist'If I try to publish direct to the Connect server name (i.e. www.example.com) , I get 'connection failed'.  (have checked, and do have web connectivity on this machine.Long time since I have published to Connect admittedly, but I don't remember having problems before.I guess I could be giving the wrong sort of 'publishing address' but Captivate Help just says "Enter the name and URL of the Acrobat Connect Server to which you want to load the project."Thanks

If I want to create a meeting and be a moderator with the host, which group do I need to belong to on the administrator interface? I sawAdministrator Administrator (Limited), Authors, Meeting HostsIn other words, how can he as a meeting host/admin send me an invite so that I can be a moderator with the meeting host? OK I know a Connect 'competitor' has a cool little tool where users in a meeting room can 'pick up' a little magic wand tool and "click" on a map showing where they are physically located. Has anyone created something like this to be used in a Connect room? I've searched the SDK developer area with no luck. Ideally I need a "map" of the state of California and another of North America (Including Canada). Has anyone developed this? Can you point me in the right direction?
