When Adobe introduced the keyword shortcuts for Snippets, they disabled the ability to make Wrapping Snippets in that version of the program (I think CC2017.0). However, any wrapping snippets I had transferred from the old version still functioned correctly in the new, though I couldn't make a keyword shortcut (no big deal).That seems to be gone now.I was playing around making a wrapping <code></code> tagset snippet, as a possible work-around for another thread. I pieced it together in CC2015 and after transferring it to 18.1, it doesn't wrap. Neither do any of my old wrapping snippets that used to function on double click.I'm wondering if I have an install glitch or if Adobe has finally killed all wrapping snippets entirely in CC2018.1.

I have a creative cloud account. I upgraded my WAMP server. Now, when I open Dreamweaver I get  a Manage Sites... dialog that says the root folder to my website doe not exist. When I click Manage Sites, my site is identified. When I click import Site Dreamweaver defaults to looking for a file with an .ste extension. When I select all files I assumed that index.php is the file needed. However, Dreamweaver returns an error that says index.php is not a valid site definition file. I am not sure how to reestablish my site.

Hello,I have a question about auto code completion feature. I am trying Dreamveawer 19.0.1. I am working on a PHP project. My pages have "header.php" and "footer.php" included at certain places. I am also using jQuery and Bootstrap libraries from their CDN's in my project. I have enabled auto discover for outsourced files and it is working really efficent. My problem begins here. When i write code in "header.php", all bootstrap classes are loading very quick this is awesome. But when i start to work for example on "index.php" which includes "header.php", bootstrap classes are not loading for auto completion. I see all included files and so bootstrap.css on the top bar but Bootstrap CSS classes are not loading. This also happens in jQuery too. How can i make the code completion work for all php files which include a php file that has imported files from any CDN? I want the code completion work on all linked files and it does not matter how much system resources that it consumes! I hope

I have had this problem with DW ever since the release of DW 2019. I have called tech support and have not had the issue resolved.DW 2018.2 works just fine I can change files and connect to the FTP server and synchronize all changed files. I can try the same thing with DW 2019 and it goes through the motions, but never finds the changed files and does not upload any files. This problem is not machine dependent. It happens on 4 different computers.I have rebuilt my Surface Pro IV from a fresh install of Windows 10. Installed all the Adobe apps fresh and the problem persists.Very frustrated, India support told me that the new way to upload file to my server is to do it manually! I give up, no one seems to care.

I'm struggling to make a rollover button work in dreamweaver.I selected my original and rollover images to use for a button, but when I do it the rollover button pops up as a second image next to the original button instead of sitting on top of it.  I've had the issue and fixed it in the past but I'm struggling to figure it out now.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi.Still I'm not used to the code editor Brackets.Please, can you give me a hint how I can prevent a leading tab after an "enter" behind e.g. "<body>" or "<p>".I couldn't find an option inside the preferences.And please, how can I prevent Brackets from highlighting the start and the end tag, when you place the cursor directly in front of the end tag?The default background color of that highlighting is very dominant (brown) and the cursor get's almost invisible.Thanks.

How do you superheroes link to your .PDF files on your websites?Do you just straight-up vanilla-link to them directly, or can that link be somehow refined in ways I'm unaware of?(Does everyone just more or less do it the same way?)

The CC versions of all Adobe products are much slower and harder to work with than their predecessors.The very worst of the bunch seems to be Dreamweaver. It is maddenlingly slow.I can't simply cut and paste text into the code without the program selecting an element next to where I'm trying to paste the text.Also, sometimes Paste is grayed out as an option anyway.I have used Adobe products since 1993 and this feels like something Microsoft would do to its customer base.I have to go to an old computer and use CS6 to work with Dreamweaver now, so that I can use the software not want to push the computer off the desk.Adobe...please fix this, it is really hurting my (and I'm sure others) workflow and is not what users have come to expect from your normally excellent product line.

I am a beginner in dreamweaver and am looking to add a comment tag for my index page. I can't find a comment tag in any of the insert menus. I tried manually typing in the code <!--comment tag is supposed to go here--> but dreamweaver doesn't recognize that as code. Does anyone know how I can add a comment tag into my HTML page?

Hi.I have 3 different versions of a web magazine locally:domain.tld (the active version)draft.domain.tld (the version with new articles not yet published, but short before)beta.domain.tld (the version with major changes, which needs further development, a field for experiments, tests, etc.)I like to use the images of one of these three local directories in the two other directories in form of a symbolic link.So I created a symbolic link of "~/websites/domain/draft.domain.tld/img" in "~/websites/domain/beta.domain.tld/"In the file manager of the macOS the "~/websites/domain/beta.domain.tld/img" is shown with a little arrow and works without problems. I can access all the images.But in DW does show in his internal file manager: "For this extension no valid editor could be found"My question:How can use a symbolic link of a directory in DW please?Thanks.

Can DW be set to keep an ongoing FTP (SFTP) log?  I realize that can be a lot of data.  but I recently had a need. I was sure that a page had been put to a site, only to find out it had not.  I wanted to review the FTP log from the day I expected it was put to see if there was anything in the log.THX

All of the sudden DW CS6 will not start up anymore, but wants to open as CC. But I don't have a CC subscription. I need CS6 to maintain some older websites.Trying to start through creative cloud gives the same problem. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,I'm pretty new to Web Development, and I'm trying to create a simple website. On one of my pages I have multiple list items within an unordered list. I've set the flex-basis to 33.33% and allowed it to wrap in hopes of getting three list items in each row. However, the list items are not filling the entire width of the unordered list; there is a significant gap on the left side. I would be grateful for any suggestions on how to make the list items fill the width of the unordered list. I've been working on my first website in years (following a self-imposed break from online dev) and had a lot of catching up to do. Before the break, designing for mobile was a secondary concern. Sites were a lot more static. Bootstrap wasn't widely-used, but jQuery was. Hello,I have a website with a few tables. The biggest table is 3 columns, of course this does not display correctly on an iPhone, as the table gets cut off and you would have to scroll. Ideally, I would love for the table to appear in mobile with each column beneath the one above.  Any other method would do.My website is www.nobsphones.com. Hi, I'm trying to duplicate an old pre-DW webpage of mine and I can't quite get some fonts and paragraphs to match.I'm using DW  current ver and using the split view and looking at the code and I can't quite duplicate the look and feel in some areas.Digging into the code, I keep seeing differences like "deNormalLS mfs_22". I've duplicated the code in many places and in the sections where the new page doesn't quite look like the old page, the only code difference i'm seeing is this "deNormalLS mfs_xx" where "xx" is a changing number.Could someone tell me what this is and could it explain the look differences?Thanks!

In the filemanager "finder" on macOS (I use the latest version) you can hide files/folders in two ways:a leading dot in the name or the terminal command "chflags hidden".Dreamweaver shows those files/folders.Please how can I achieve, that DW hides those files/folders in it's own file manager?Thanks

Hi All, I recently built a nav bar in Javascript for a website but I have forgotten how to add an extra page somehow xD I'm just learning to code right now so am very inexperienced. What happened to the code colorouring? I'd like to have more control over the colors of particular pieces of code. It was possible to change it in the previous dreamweaver, why has it been removed? I have only 4 themes to choose, each of them is terrible. White is to light, dark is too contrasting with browser. For webdevelopers the most healthy option is lightgray background for code.
