Questions

I've started coding in React.js, but Emmet seems to be working intermittently. It worked for "button" but not "div>h1+p". Is it possible to enable Emmet to work fully when coding .jsx files in Dreamweaver? If so, how?I'm using Dreamweaver CC 19.0.

Dreamweaver CC 2019 is really slow and freezing when lots of files opened.Does anybody know if I have to disable any settings to get it to play ball?I am getting to the point were I am having to force quit the application.Even having is crash out when flicking between files.

Hello,I would like to check for invalid links to external web sites in my Dreamweaver site.Unfortunately, the Site -  Site Options - Check Links Sitewide does not check external sites. It just lists all the external sites.It sure would be nice to have some way of checking for broken external links. I've been asked to have the website be able to take payments (Visa / direct debit etc), how do i do this?I'm struggling to find anything online to help, all seems to talk about Wordpress and PayPal.

One of the best things about Adobe Muse was that the client could make minor edits with in their website, without having to use WordPress, or another CMS. Does anyone know if that option still exist after building a site with Dreamweaver?

I all of a sudden get this error below when I send files to the server. I've worked with DW for 20+ and never have seen this. A little background... I am redoing a site and I simple put a folder called "NEW" in the root folder of the site and then put the new files in it (building the new site). I've done that many times before without issues. Now I get this error and also there is an "X" by the "NEW" folder (locally and remote).When I upload, it asked if I want to upload related files and I do. It will uploadWhat is this and how can I fix it? Thanks in advance for any help.Here is a screen shot.

Hello. Haven't done this is years. But I have a question that maybe someone out there can help with.To preface my query, I work for the U.S.Navy and I am building my second web site for one of their departments. Four years ago I built a site for them with Dreamweaver cs 5.5. I have now upgraded to Dreamweaver cc release 2018 and find the procedures in it to be totally different. I'm an illustrator by trade and am not a webmaster by any means. I do the best I can but in 4 years I have forgot a lot. The programmers here that I have access to can't crack this one. Here is my problem >In DW cc I have put in the body a long background to scroll down and it has no responsive images or text on it. It is just a background. I created an image set from an image generator and installed the generated image slider below a blank spacer to move it down from the top of the background. The problem is that the spacer and the content slider have shifted about 8 pixels from the top and from the left ed

If I use "edit -> code -> apply source formatting" the source code isn't formatted correctly.Instead with DW 2015 (and previous) "commands -> apply source formatting" works good.Is it a bug or a missing configuration?

Hi Everyone-I am taking over a curriculum publishing project for a team member who was let go. The company uses Dreamweaver to publish the curriculum which is then packaged utilizing Flexera and available for purchase via a download. Once installed, the curriculum is viewable to the customer on a web browser (not linked to the Internet). I do not leave a protocol for the Dreamweaver project I have inherited. I have files from the previous publication and need to update the content. I am new to Dreamweaver, not versed in code and not sure how to do this. It appears Codify was used to create a template (Stylesheet.css - screenshot attached below)? The second image is a capture of the files I inherited for the project. Any help on how to edit these files or where to begin would be wonderful. Thank you!

Hey folks. It is silly but I do not know why my animated gif inserted into page plays once (it was created to play once) but when call again through swap images or show / hide layers do not play from beginning. It shows just end. I need to refresh page. Manually through browser or "Refresh" head tag with automatic action delayed in seconds. Is there any way to make it through click / mouse over behavior?Please help.Janusz

I'm new to Dreamweaver and HTML, so excuse my ignorance when it comes to the problem I'm having. I was tasked with updating a webpage for work. Everything was going fine until I had to create a new page. I duplicated an existing page (so as not to recreate the wheel) and added the new content. At that time, however, I realized that the menu on the page was no longer visible. I looked at the other pages, and the menu bar was gone from those as well. I had not touched the menu html file, nor the css file, nor the spry file. I uploaded one of the pages to the server, thinking maybe it was a fluke and the menu bar would magically reappear (wishful thinking), but it's still broken. I have no idea what I did to break it. Every time I update my code, I have to close the file and then reopen it to see my updates in the Live window.  What am I missing?

I have a website with several links. Each link I can change from http: // to shttp: //.But how can I save the file I work with with shttp: // instead of the standard it gets when I just save the page.In the site configuration, under WEB URL I have changed to https: // but that information does not follow.

Is there a way to automate a particular task/action like there is in Photoshop? That would be great!One of the things I do quite frequently is to  (in my CSS file) put a temporary border round a div or section etc. so I can see exactly where it is. It might sound silly, but I works for me. I would like to hit a hotkey or a Ctrl-something and it adds a "border: solid thin color:" to where I put my cursor. Is there anything like that?
