I have the latest version of Dreamweaver installed (18.0). When in design mode and editing text, the cursor is off by one position from the location the character is actually inserted/deleted/replaced. The cursor shows one character to the right of where it should be.

I will 'hide code' in the development window to save screen space.  The problem is when I save the page and come back into edit on it the next day the 'hidden' aspect has moved at random over the page.  I might 'hide' lines 25 to 55 and come back in to find that lines 15 to 30 are now 'hidden'.  Or I might come back in and find nothing is hidden.How can this random behavior be stopped other than to never use the 'hidden' ability.  In case you never have used this, highlight a section of code and notice the down arrow that appears next to the numbers.  Click it and the highlighted code is removed from the screen view.

All of a sudden I'm not able to add rows or columns to my tables. Instead, when I click on a cell it is outlined in blue and there is a tag at the top. What have I done?

Where is the option to strip tags like in the previous versions of DreamweaverIn the DW Find/Replace box, next to "Search:" select "Specific Tag" and in the next field put font For "Action:" choose "Strip Tag."

Liking DW 2017 so far, but the ability to save/export the search results (to xml) seems to have gone.Is it still there but hidden where I can't find it?

I am using Dreamweaver CC (the latest version) and just started a new project. I am trying to use a password form to connect multiple passwords to multiple pages. I’m a teacher and this is for an educational game in which students enter the correct password and it takes them to one page and later they enter another password and it takes them to another page. I’m a major beginner, too. This is a super simple website with an index that connects to the passwords page, then on to the selected page when users enter the password. I think I’ll have seven different passwords/pages total.

Notice the popup piece of code.  It appears above all DW windows and Firefox tabs such as the one I'm in right now.  Nothing under it can be reached without moving the page up and down.  Several tabs are open in DW, but this piece of code isn't selected on any of them.  The popup appears on every tab, however.This has been happening for several months and is quite annoying.  To remove it I have to go to each tab and highlight anything then un-highlight it.  Or close DW and reopen it.  Neither 'solution' is very good.Solutions?

I don't know any coding and that's why I've always used Contribute (Ver 6.5) but it doesn't work on my newer Win 7 computer. I heard that DW has a split view I can use very much like Contribute. Will I be able to successfully use that?I got an older version of DW, Creative Suite 3 web premium to try out, but it won't work on the Win 7 machine, so what is the version I'll be needing?

I'm building a mock up of a mobile site. I made a drop down accordion mobile menu in Muse and now they want the "fly in from the left" off-canvas style menu. I don't want to have to spend $$ on this by buying a third-party Muse widget as it's just a mock up. Hello there. I'm working with a nice Bootstrap template and trying to make an adjustment to a middle spot where there are four "meet me" images along with links, etc. Here is the link if you want to actually see the template. I'm making some changes and so far all is looking well. There is one area I'd like to change but am unsure of how to do, and that is adjusting the "Meet Our Team" section. There are 4 images there and I'd like to adjust that to one and center it for the Bootstrap Template.I've already tried deleting items and adjusting a variety of items and can't seem to make the right movements to accomplish this. I also would like to know why I get the option of "Add new column" when I hover over the picture via DW but it doesn't give me a "remove column" option. That would be AWESOME and easy if it did.So if there are any ideas on how to make the adjustments without having to greatly disrupting much else I'd be very interested 🙂

Does anyone have a problem with tracing images half appearing? I loaded a 600x400 square rectangle (border, no fill) image using Tracing Image feature in Design view. Only the left and top lines of the rectangle show, but not the right or bottom sides. I've loaded a more complex image (with color and words) to try to understand where it's breaking and why, but I didn't get any answers because not only did it crop off the right side of the image, but on different views display views (zooming in or out) it "mushes" parts of that cropped off right side over the top of the image itself, like a collage, like it reinterprets the image. So it looks like a software bug when you see it. Is there something wrong with the images I'm using? here's an example of the rectangle I loaded in design view. It's a simple gif.
