I have the lightbox built and working on its own but can't figure how to incorporate it into my responsive menu without breaking everything. I'm not looking for anything fancy. I use Adobe Dreamweaver CS5 to create my email newsletters. I also use Fireworks for image editing. I have a long list of images in my local folder and each image shows the Fw icon before that image. But when I right click on the image it asks me if I want to open with Photoshop or two  versions of Fireworks, the version that's part of Adobe CS5 and the version that's part of Dreamweaver 8. I only use the Adobe CS5 Fireworks to edit images so how do I make that the only version choice I see?

Hello,i was changing the code theme and at one time it stopped working, even after i undo the changes, the theme still didn't work.Anyone has an idea how could i fix this problem?

I used one of MailChimp's embedded forms to include in a Dreamweaver website I'm building. The form works great -- sends the email to MailChimp list. It even displays the success message below the form after the user clicks the submit button.The problem is that I turned the code into a library component in Dreamweaver. Now, when you fill out the form, the user is directed to a mailchimp page that lists the success or failure.I don't want the user directed to a mailchimp page -- I like the first scenario where the success is inline with the form.Has anyone experienced problems with making a MailChimp form a library item? Why would making it a library item change the behavior?

Hello dear Users,i started coding with a worldpad, the first few days.A friend of mine, told me about notepad++ and i used it for few years. Since few months i was using Atom Editor.I took a look at Adobe Muse but, it doesn't give me enough freedom while coding.I just found out about DreamWeaver today, i didn't really look at all programs. I mostly only use, Photoshop, Premiere and Illustrator.What i have done in DreamWeaver, i've imported my folder where i used to keep my coded websites, i also setup a testserver using my FTP connection.I have no idea what "buttons" do what. I would also like some visual editing like in Muse, i want to speed up that positioning part by using visual editing.I know CSS1/2/3, there is very little that i might "not know" in CSS or i never needed it. I would like to use Visual Editing in BW for such things like positioning etc.Can you give me some infos, tips? Hello everyone.The page in questions is: Touch The Universe Productions - Audio Label and Sound Design - Hive Sound Bank - Goa Trance, Progressive Trance, Psybie… I can't seem to add a bullet point list like thisSoundsetsLoopsWave FilesI select text, right click, and select and option from the list menu. But nothing happens. It also won't let me indent anything. Happens site wide.I assume its a css setting I need to edit. Can anyone help with this? I believe the site code can be viewed via right click opened html page and select view source code.Also, is there a way to apply css changes only to one webpage?.I would like to increase the left content div from 710 to 1000 (or preferably to max wide depending on users screen while leaving room for the side bar navigation.I am willing to pay for help if needed.

Hello,i would like to upload files to my FTP only when i save it. But i also want to have a real time preview. So as i'm editing, the preview should work, but after i hit ctrl+S it should save and upload all to FTP. Is such thing possible?

Just switched from DW CS 5 to DW CC (v18.0) and it seems like a small feature I didn't realized I loved is gone.Old behavior (CS 5):I would click the line # where my desired code starts, scroll down to the end of the range of code I want, hold down Shift on the keyboard and click on the line # for the end of the code.  All the code is highlighted and I can copy it.New behavior (CC):I click on the line # for the end of the range of code and it just highlights that line of code.  DW seems to ignore the fact that I'm holding down the shift key and doesn't highlight the range of code between the two line numbers.I can work around this by clicking inside the body of the code rather than clicking the line #...it's just not quite as precise and requires a bit more effort.Anyone know a way to get the old behavior back?Thanks!

Is retina.js a tool that should be employed for handling hiDPI images for retina display? Then use more compression techniques in your 'save/export for web'. Tutorial noted your large image might wind up being less kb than original size you had previously.Apply global CSS:portfolio-pics img { max-width: 100%;height: auto;}  ... and if you cannot do this, to make note in the image tag, width="700" as to the actual size needed on the page.Which of these techniques would you be more comfortable / trusting of to take care of this ever-evolving era in screen displays?I am curious as to your thoughts on these solutions; not interested in using the <picture> tag

i have a html template created in dreamweaver, when uploaded the browser directs me to my index of / page. im not sure what is missing from the coding im thinking im missing some php coding in the file so that the page may be displayed. Beispiel 1: Im Tab "At Work" soll Use recycled paper angesteuert werden. Dazu muss ja der zweite Tab geöffnet werden und natürlich muss das Ziel mit einer id definiert werden.Beispiel 2: Von einer anderen Seite soll Form walking/biking clubs angezeigt werden. Issue only applies to SCSS files.When I open and edit an SCSS file that is located on NAS drive, when I click save, an error message notifies me that 'access to (filename) denied', and does not save the file or update the associated CSS file (automatic compilation turned on).To test, I save the same SCSS file to desktop - it saves without issue and updates the associated CSS file on desktop.When automatic compilation of SCSS to CSS is turned off, the SCSS file will save. Manual compile does not work in this instance.It appears to be an issue with CC saving to an external drive, is this a known issue and is there a fix available?--iMac 27in 5k Late 2015, Mac OS Sierra 10.12

Hi,I can connect via SFTP but it takes me directly to my user profile, not the files on the server I have permissions for. I can connect using the same information via Filezilla just fine - I can view all files. This leads me to believe either I'm not doing it correctly via Dreamweaver or its impossible. Using a Mac if that helps.Any suggestions?

New problem since transitioning to Dreamweaver 2017:When making edits or uploading attachments in Dreamweaver, these changes aren't shown immediately in my site. In the older version I was able to make a change in Dreamweaver, refresh my site, and see the change / open new attachments instantly. With the 2017 version I haven't been able to do that.In my old Dreamweaver, when I set up the initial sync to my server, I went into advanced settings and selected "automatically upload files to the server on Save". I didn't find this option when I was syncing my Dreamweaver 2017 version to the server. Do you think this could be the problem?If that is the problem, where do I find the "automatically upload files to the server on Save" option in the 2017 version?

I have a folder on my site that contains our user manual, and it really is not part of the main site. It appears to have literally thousand of broken links that aren't really broken. This makes it basically impossible to run a link check in Dreamweaver, because when I do so it freezes. I really need to find the 20 or so truly broken links. Is there a way to ignore a folder while using the link checker? Thank you!

Hello, I update sites frequently with adding linked PDF documents to a list in order of date. I noticed with a recent update I am unable to change the order in the folder from alphabetical to list by date modified. Is there any way to change the folder to date modified or date in general? When I'm linking the PDF I'm selecting the text and dragging the arrow to the actual PDF in the folder. There are hundreds of files in the folder and in the past it was as simple as changing the view mode so the most recent was at the top. Can anyone please enlighten me as to how to make the most recent file added to the folder appear at the top? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
