I am trying to move over to CC2018 from 2016 and must note how big a learning curve it is.One of the issues bothering me is when i am writing code (split screen - code on the left, design on the right) and i hit <enter> to get to a new line.My pages are mixed HTML/Classic ASP and are usually defined as 'VBScript' in the language drop down at the bottom of the screen - mainly because the default 'HTML' mode does a bad job of trying to understand the ASP code. The 'VBScript' option is only slightly better from that perspective....If I am using Word Wrap, which i usually like to, the lines sometimes go completely wonky.Often, when i try deleting from the behind existing text, to try get it upwards to the end of the previous line - nothing happens, no matter how many deletes i do. Also, trying to 'tab' lines, to get them into a nice structure, does not work when in Word Wrap mode. Neither does CTRL + SHIFT + >Here are some samples.Sample : Why do some of the lines become so high..

Application: DreamWeaver 18 (build 10136)OS: Mac OSX 10.11.6In our network environment we have an authenticated proxy server for all internet facing traffic, which doesn't pose a problem with any AdobeCC apps with the exception of Dreamweaver. Shortly after launching the DW application we noticed persistent dialog boxes requesting proxy authentication. Upon checking our proxy logs we see that it's trying to go to a "local" site (specifically: http://127.0.0.1:58896/socket.io/socket.io.js) so instead of rendering any sites locally it is trying to go via our proxy.When the system proxy is disabled this is not a problem, so I tried adding 127.0.0.1 as a system proxy exception however the problem remained.It appears then that DW for Mac does not honor the proxy exceptions defined in the system configuration.Does anyone know of a workaround for this? Perhaps some location within the DW app that network proxy settings can be changed?ThanksJoel

Hello everyone,sorry I have to come back with my problem about the "includes are shown in different ways". In DW CC Vers. 18.0 I can't see the content of my includes in contrast to my DW CC (2015)!Here (German) DW CC Vers. 18.0 (no matter of shown in Live or Design view):and here (German) DW CC (2015). Shown as an example is the include on the left:Nancy and Paula did show me their working english Version. Could it be that this difference is owed to the different language versions?Well, I don't care, the main point is: Would you please help me with a smart solution.Hans-Günter

Hallo,ich bitte um eure Hilfe.Ich habe sämtliche Programme der Adobe Creative Cloud installiert. Alle funktionieren. Heute wollte ich Dreamweaver installieren, aber jedes mal wenn ich ihn starte bekomme ich eine Fehlermeldung das es ein Problem gibt und das Programm geschlossen werden muss. Wir haben ein Haufen unterschiedlicher Lösungen probiert. Ordner gelöscht, mit einem lokalen Admin User gestartet, deinstalliert, neu installiert usw. Zuletzt haben wir die Creative Cloud sogar auf einem neuen Rechner installiert. Dort kam es zum gleichen Problem: Alle Programme funktionieren, nur der Dreamweaver lässt sich nicht starten. Weiß jemand woran das liegen könnte? Hat es etwas mit meinem Benutzer zu tun? Ich weiß leider nicht mehr weiter. Der Support konnte mir auch nicht helfen. Danke schon einmal im Voraus!

I'm loving the Device Preview option, but I'm a bit stuck trying to figure out if it's possible to set it up using includes.For instance, let's say that I load everything from index.php, which has "include($_GET['page'].'.php')" - so while I'm working on the index file, I can see the homepage just fine, but let's say in case of "index.php?page=contact" - I would need to edit the contact.php file, however, when I open that file, it wouldn't load through the index, it "thinks" it's own page... which makes sense, but is there any way to set it up so that I can open contact.php in Dreamweaver and see "index.php?page=contact" in the device preview?

Since I cannot reactivate my original DW CS3 (too old), I decided to subscribe to DW CC 2018.I have a number of sites in CS3. How do I open my site files in CC 2018? Or, how do I import them?

I want to put up an E-commerce site in order to test from time to time the shopping cart from the front end and work with the transaction in the backend. Working on localhost would be the cheapest way, but apparently it's impossible to do. Otherwise I have to purchase hosting to use a domain I purchased or else put the site in a folder in my hosting account. I do not like the latter idea, however, and have run into some SEO issues from having a website hosted in a folder in my hosting account.I could block the site from being indexed either using the robots.txt file or password-protect the folder, but that may affect the way the Paypal Sandbox works.

Hey everyone,| am working on an email and I'm having the usual outlook headaches. Code renders pretty decent in other clients. Here are my issues:1) Background image is missing in Outlook (of course) . I tried bulletproof background images but it isn't working.2) It seems my yellow background is taking on the style of my button and the button is loosing the style. (Should the button styles be in the head rather than inline?)3) The logo at the bottom is taking on the button style in it's table and the button has lost the style. I've attached two screenshots. I have a bootstrap dropdown menu made in Dreamweaver CC that all lookes fine when you hover over it. But if you accidentally click on the parent (which I assume people are going to do), it will jump to the left. Has anybody any suggestion on what the problem could be? I have a very large website created on Macromedia Dreamweaver MX 2004. I have my own web host and my own domain. What would the best program be for me to buy that would be an update, but would accept all of my files as is? I am not interested in the Creative Cloud. I read the answers to someone (Theresa} that had a similar problem. The solution was"delete the red code." I assume this applies to everyone with the red coding. I see some pink colored code and there is quite a bit mostly relating to fonts. I started deleting all of it and when I was through suddenly a chunk of non-font coding turned pink. I stopped at that point. I didn't save any of the editings I had done. So now I am back where I started from. Your help would be greatly appreciated.The content, however, does show up in the browser.Michael

I'm using Dreamweaver 2018 CC and if the file is below 16 mb, it opens fine. If it's over, the tab opens, but there is nothing displayed. If I do a Find All, it even finds the items and shows what line they are on, but nothing displays in Code View. Since the file is an XML/Hybrid, it can't be opened in Live View. Is there a preference/config setting to display larger files?

I am new to Dreamweaver and am building a new site. I have set up the basic site with my main.html page, my styles.css page, and my folders. I want the title and the topnav to float to the left and right respetively. Then I will insert a banner, and then I want a main content panel to float to the left and a sidebar to float to the right. Created desktop site via Dreamweaver using HTML5 and CSS. Hi, I have decided to use bootstrap for the first time for a university project. (Web design isn't my course so I'm a beginner).My tutor has told me that he will be testing the sites on a standard sized screen and on an Iphone 5, that he said was around 320px. When i set up the site initially the small size is 768px I think. Does this mean that it will scale to small for anything under that size or do I need to change the small size to a lower number? I have also been told about the developer tools in Google Chrome and that it allows me to view what it would be like on various phone screens, so if my settings are wrong when I come to view it, is there a way that i can change the screen size settings.Thank you

The touch-touch lightbox gallery is what I am using to display images. I have been making images @15739213 for the retina display and adjusting the quality to make as low as possible. This is working well, and no real hold up on image loading time.Here is my dilemma... for example, many pieces have a width of 2300px. And when they display, render smaller than that within the gallery it so appears. I am happy with them.I now have a more horizontal piece that I have tried time and time again to no avail, even as low as 1536px for width & 1024 for height, but the lightbox seems to automatically pull it wider so you cannot see the fwd and next controls unless you maximize the screen. I intentionally want this image smaller and well within those controls, yet crisp for retina display.  - Why is this specific image just not working? How can I control them to be 'small' and still @15739213 display?Thanks for any pointers.

Hi friends.After updating Dreamweaver to 2018 version all the text positioning has moved from right to left (navigation, paragraph...)the text is still right to left (the characters didn't flip)  but the text direction if flipped.In the 2017 version, it was all good.Couldn't find any way to change it. when checking the creative cloud app it says that the Hebrew support is installed.Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?Hanan
