Hallo, sinds kort heb ik opeens bij mijn lokale site een voorvoegsel staan van ftp://, met tot gevolg dat mijn werkbalk met de upload en download button is verdwenen, bij mijn andere websites is dit niet het geval gelukkig. Maar kan iemand mij vertellen hoe ik dit ongedaan kan maken cq kan herstellen, want wat ik ook probeer het lukt mijzelf niet helaas. Heb een plaatje toegevoegd ter verduidelijking van het verschil.

I was recently tasked with updating my groups website and adding a members only area. I have basic HTML knowledge but do not know how to build a database, or the log in page or the other pages to be in the protected area. I have spent all day reading articles and help sites on how to set this up, but they all start beyond my basic HTML knowledge, or the articles are so out of date that the newest version of Dreamweaver does not work in the same way as what the articles say to do. Can anyone help me bridge the gap from basic HTML to building and using a database site?

Hello,I use Emmet alot when I design and I i'm glad to see the Dreamweaver has that feature native. However, one of the commands that I like to use is - "ul>li*". That will allow you to chose multiple list items and wrap a <li> tag around all of them.How is that done in Dreamweaver? I tried using cmd+T but that didn't seem to work. Unless I'm using it wrong. Please help, this is the one (main) thing that is keeping me from using Dreamweaver as my sole markup tool.Thanks in advance for your help

I just updated Dreamweaver to version 17.5 Build 9878. It is impossibly slow to refresh or to move between Design and Live views. In addition, issues that I and others have raised (such as the cursor not centering on the page but appearing at the bottom) have not been changed. Can I revert to the previous version? If not, I'm abandoning this product.

Every once in a while I upload a file to the remote site and when I attempt to edit it on-line, I find there is a missing EOF.

I move many many images onto a web page and in previous versions (prior to 2017.*) , I used iMac Finder.  Now I can use Finder but since the files are "outside the root" I have to go back and delete all the pathnames, OK... I can deal with that!I thought they solved it when I attempted to use the ASSET PANEL.  I selected the 78 images I wanted and was tickeled when they were put onto the HTML page.  Then I noticed, they were put onto the page in REVERSE ORDER!   image   xyz.078  and at the top of the HTML page and image xxy.001 was at the bottom of the HTML page.  Now I have to go back to the Finder way of intserting the images onto the HTML page and then search and replace all the pathnames.YES, I suppose I would renumber the images and try to see if I could get a chronological insert but I didn't as $078 is the end of the event and #001 is the beginning?Oh...  You can't move multiple images from the Files Panel... Hey everyone,So I have a problem with some child elements, as you will see from the screen shots, and video that is subsequent. Do note, this for MOBILE view.I know the difference between height: auto/100%. However, one of the parents (also child) elements does not resize to the size of its parent element.As a result, one child element, a "back-to-top" button is placed half way up of the parent element, and not at the bottom of its brothers/sisters elements (same level).here is the code, screenshots, and a video to help express my problem in further detail. Suppose I have a set of links or just plain text, which is identical across multiple html pages. Is there a way to 'encapsulate' that into one file, which is separately maintained, and which can then be called on every page that needs to have it? Hope that is clear.

On the other hand, I can't create another site because now 127.0.0.1 is synonymous with the virtual domain. So do you keep the changed code and comment it out until the day you might need to access the site? Or do you change the site host name to localhost/sitename as you would normally when you create a site to test locally?

Does anyone know how to disable these pop-ups? They are driving me mad and are even more frequent in the latest .5 update.

Hi everyone, I can't upload or sync files in Dreamweaver, getting error message "An FTP error occurred - cannot make connection to host.". I have just installed the most recent version (2017). Also I noticed that hitting F1 will not bring up help, getting another error message "Unable to display help, Connect to the internet and try again...". This is very strange, why won't Dreamweaver connect to the internet, when other Adobe programs are working fine? Please suggest what I need to do (not too technical if possible please). I have used a Bootstrap nav bar with a drop down menu at the right and have included a sub menu this all works fine until I get to the breakpoint for a mobile phone. The hamburger works fine, the drop down menu works fine and changes to a slider to access all menu items but when I click on the arrow to the right for the submenu it closes the section down. Presumably as there is no where to the right to push the sub menu out to. Hello all!I have an old version of DreamWeaver (CS 2) where this feature was prominent. Kind of got used to it as it's occasionally really helpful to have good reference on code integrated into the app. Now I'm trying get current, but can't seem to find this or activate it. The usual google searches indicate that how you access seems to have changed over the years but I still can't seem to get it to come up. This is with Dreamweaver CC on Mac. Hoping someone can either give me a clue on how to get it to show or confirm that it's been totally removed.Thanks!Jon

Hello, As I work through this book, I have hit a roadblock based on what appears to be a bug/ error in the author's instructions. In 7.3.2 (Hiding Bootstrap Elements) the final step given, prior to saving is: 10. Click the Remove Class/ID icon for the hidden-sm class. The class is removed from the element.However, lesson 7.3.4 picks up with step 5 asking: 5. Select the aside.col-sm-3 .hidden-sm tag selector. Observe the DOM panel display.The issue is that we removed this class in the final instruction in lesson 7.3.2.I figured adding it back (ignoring the deletion step from 7.3.2) would resolve. But then, when I get to step 7 my quotation does not appear anywhere on the screen when I drag the scrubber to the small media query, as the author's does in his video and in the book photo. Therefore, I cannot continue on to steps 8, 9, etc. Can you assist so that I may complete this important lesson?

Dreamweaver 2017, working on a php file. If I select a line and command 'x'/cut I get a pop-up dialog listing; __CLASS__, __COMPILER_HALT_OFFSET__, and so on. It's not of use to me and very irritating, is there a way to I prevent the pop-up?
