Greetings!As a designer/coder (in that order) I'm rather excited to be nearing the completion of my first site in years. The help I've received from this forum's usual suspects made connecting the dots between the old methods and the new ones easier than they should've been.The two items on my plate today are :Making a (horizontal, middle-of-the-screen) navbar stick to the top of the page once it's scrolled its way up there. When clicking "Menu" button, slide open a menu (either a vertical one that opens from the left side, pushing the rest of the design to the right -- or a horizontal one that opens under the navbar, filling 100% width and pushing the rest of the design lower down).As usual when Googling these subjects, the returns are all over the place (many of them relying on technology that has since been made obsolete by newer tech) so I feel safer coming here and asking the pros what avenues or scripts they recommend taking in 2017 for these two missions.Thanks!

How do you move the arrows so they are on the picture?The Carousel span 100% across the page.i.e.: We get your Business! I recently tried opening Dreamweaver on my MAC and it will not open due to various java script error messages.  I tried downloading an update for it, it failed, and now I don't get the java script error messages, but a message that just says that Dreamweaver can't be opened.  I tried looking for the cache.dat file in the configurations folder and there is none.  Your help would be much appreciated.  I'm baffled.

This image pretty much sums it up. I've got 10 (now 11) source links in this HTML source code. First one is for a google font. Next is for web icons. Next 6 are for CSS styles sheets. At the bottom I have three AngularJS files linked to. The first is the minifed version of Angular then a link to the Angular UI Router. Last one shown here is to my app.js file but it doesn't show up in the Related Files at the top. I've since added another AngularJS file which deals with some elements of a specific view.Neither of these Angular JS files are reflected in the Related Files section. As such I have to open them up specifically. Not a huge inconvenience but if I can get them to open with the other files, that would be easier.Any suggestions/ideas as to why this is?I'm using the most up to date version of DreamWeaver CC 2017 on a PC running 64 bit Win10 Home OS.Thanks!

HelloI have created some hotspots on a large image so that certain things can be clicked on.The issue I have is that the cursor only changes from the arrow to the hand on a few of the hotspots which are all roughly the same size. Sometimes the pointer changes for a brief moment before reverting to the arrow once again. I have installed an Ajatix add-on (boughtin the  Adobe Exchange) through the desktop app, but it is only installed in DW CC2015 but not DW CC2017. uninstalled the old CC extension manager, re-booted and tried again but still the add-on is only installed in the CC2015 program.I am in a bind because some other add-ons from S43 that I had been using in CC2015 would not install in CC2017, and I am scared to stop using CC2015 in case I can no longer update my websites if I move them to CC2017. I though the solution might be to re-build everying in CC2017 using add-ons bought through Adobe add-ons, but even that only worls in CC2015!Question is - how can I get add-ons installed into CC2017?Thanks for any help!

I can't seem to get Realtime Preview to use any updated css styles that are linked in an external css file. Live View updates with the new styles, but not Realtime Preview.Realtime Preview respects the css in the external file for all that is unchanged, but any changes or additions are ignored.It's like it's using a cached version of the old css file and won't let go of it.Anyone have ideas or help?Thanks

Hi,Total newb question; I'm creating an email in Dreamweaver that I'm planning on sending out through my Gmail account.  I have an image in the header which displays fine when I preview it with the images from my computer, but when I copy the code into the email the images aren't displaying. I've tried to upload them to host sites and change the code to reflect it, but I'm not having any luck.  This is the code with the image link:<img src="https://adobe.ly/2nN6FlS" alt="alt_text" width="600" height="451" style="width:100%;max-width:600px;height:auto" border="0" align="center">I'm obviously doing something wrong here and haven't a clue as to what to do...I'm also very new to coding so it's probably something simple...help?

I keep getting the following error...error: DwWef script exceptionI'm using Dreamweaver cc 2017. The error occurs when trying to insert specific features.In one instance, it was the header H1 tag, and in another instance, it was a responsive image (default). So far, it's looking like any insert menu with a drop down menu for some reason... 0_OCan somebody help me fix this? It is getting in the way of completing an answer to my other topic...

Dear all,  today when I asked my DW CS4 (win) to sync with the server, it claimed to need uploading *all* files in my website tree.This is clearly wrong because I am absolutely sure that most of the files never got touched in the past months.Obviously, my first intention was to not upload all files, first because it would have been a very long-time operation, and secondarly because I don't know which files have changed at the remote side since the last sync, so I don't want to lose data. Later, as I couldn't come through it, I decided to patiently select the files I was sure were up-to-date and select them as "mark as synced". But the next sync still keeps prompting for the files upload... so, it seems I am in a neverending loop 😞Tried to disable and re-enable the "keep sync info" flag, delete all dwsync.xml files, but nothing was useful.I also have already searched for some solution for years, because from time to time the problem appeared and never got a final solution.A

Is it possible for me to create a website that has multiple web pages, and have my students link them all together using the creative cloud.  I want them all to code different pages, and then be able to link all of these pages together by sharing them on the creative cloud.  Then link all of the pages together with the cloud.  I don't want one kid to have to link them all together using just his computer.  Is this possible, and if so how?

Two days ago all was fine. I was using DW2017 without significant issues.  This morning, zip!  The software came up empty... Not even a "Open Recent"  I have 226 site definitions to to add those back manually is a non starter.  I fired up DW CS5 and all was well.I looked at the forum and at least got the suggestion to export all the CS5  .ste files into a new directory but I do not know where the .ste files go in DW 2017.0.1? Any assistance would be helpful?

Each time I open Dreamweaver, I can only put files once. It works fine that first time but any subsequent attempts just hang until I cancel, close Dreamweaver, reopen it, and continue working. Yes, I could use FileZilla but one of the reasons DW is my favorite editor is what used to be the supremely perfect Files panel and FTP. It's been doing this for the last 2-3 versions for me. The creds are fine -- it works perfectly that first time every time.

Hello,I first purchased DW 8, and then upgraded to DW CS3.These were both installed on my 2 laptops.Now my two laptops are both broken, one, this one, has a broken screen,the other one, was up to date with DW CS3.This one, the one with the broken screen, I use with and add on monitor, so I read on one screen and type on my laptop.This Laptop had no DW on it, and I tried installing from my DW CS3  disk, but it does not like my serial number, and now it is telling me my trial period will be up tomorrow.I used the serial number that came with the DW CS3 installation disk, and apparently DW does not like it. overwrote my server files with badly designed files.  My backup files are several years old so they are not much help other than reconstructing them.  While working on the DW managed site,  I was prompted what to do with a undefined field.  I choose leave as "unchanged" and lost my content to all files linked to the template.  Is there a means of re-defining the field to reclaim my text?   I hate to start over, however, I learned a valuable lesson.  Thanks.

I've tried searching the web for a fix for this, but honestly have no idea the terms that would get me this answer. I updated to Dreamweaver CC 2017 and code that used to be indented and wrap to the second line in split mode now does not wrap to line 2 and begin on the left of the window, it aligns to the parent tag, so in my responsive email with nested tables I'm getting pieces that are literally 2 characters wide going down the right of my split screen.How do I re-calibrate my settings so that the code, even though it's indented on the parent tag, will flow to the beginning (far left) of the line when the line wraps? I don't want to turn off line wrapping and have to scroll to my code either. There must be a setting to turn off/toggle. This is on PC if that helps.

When I create my document in Dreamweaver CS6, my text is all in the same class. But anytime I have a bulleted, numbered or lettered list, the font appears much smaller once posted live onto the site. I have to go back to my DW file and re-add the class it was already on in order for it to capture the right font size. Does anyone know how this can permanently be fixed so that I don't have to keep re-classing my lists? See image below:Please note, I am an amateur when it comes to Dreamweaver.
