Is there an overview of what the different colors mean when I programming in PHP language?

HelloI have a redundant PC which has a copy of Dreamweaver cs6 which I understand has to be released from the Adobe Server for reuse on another PC.Can anyone please inform me how I can carry this out please? Many Thanks  John Hardy

HiI am not new to DW but the 21.2 version seems to lose formatting after I copy and paste from a word document. The first time I do it it keeps the formatting after that every thing gets pasted as palin text....

Where is the Properties Panel in Dreamweaver 2021?

I am having the same problem.  I have not used Dreamweaver for a few years and am a bit rusty. How do I know if I am sending the files to the server's root directory.  Am I supposed to have something where it says Host Directory?  I have attached my remote information

Note: I'm new to coding so maybe I just made a silly mistake, but I really can't figure out what it is. I'm adding some styles to my HTML and it's not reflecting on the navigation bar. I've added some styles to images just centering them and adding some padding using the same technique (having its own class) and that is working fine.  I have two errors First " Must be paired, no start tag" This is referring to my nav tag. I do have a start tag so I'm unsure as to why it's telling me I don't. I also tried erasing this section and rewriting it. The second error "Duplicate attribute [class] was found" I do have two .style-nav classes. One for Ul and the other for Ul, Li, and a. I tried merging them and this error did not go away. However this error is on my HTML sheet and not the CSS one, so I may be misunderstanding the error. I don't have any other navs on my HTML sheet and the style class is only applied in that one spot so I am unsure what the error is referring to

I'm using Dreamweaver 8 on Windows 10 and all of a sudden, I cannot edit, save, overwrite nor replace my home page, "index.htm," although every other page works fine.  DW says "internal data error in DW, try again" (of course, try try again, re-start, etc. didn't work).  Two separate installations of DW 8 accessing the same local and remote files have the same problem. Spent 2 hours troubleshooting with web host tech; ruled out server interaction issues and they said it must be a DW problem.  I did a Save as with test name using FileZilla, downloaded to DW, navigated in web browser very successfully, deleted local index.htm and tried to re-name test page as index.htm and again, get "Access denied, don't have permission, etc.."   So something is wrong with DW and "index.htm" after many years of no problem. It just doesn't make sense because no other pages have the problem, only index.htm.  Can anyone help?? 

Hello,  Encourage words and informations,  I dicided to create a Template from Dreamweaver with Bootstarp.Now I feel good and looks good but can't see the Hamburger Menu on Mobile divice, it is there I'm sure I did change the color of that menu.Don't where to find it from CSS file, tell you the truth that I don't where to look. Always thank you for reading,Jamesps.wefollohim.com

Hello again,   I thought when you upload the files from Dreamweaver to remote server it changed right away.I tried to upload the files so many times but It won't changed.Dreamweaver showed complete the upload it. Do you see my mistake somewhere?Help please,James

Since upgrading to Mac OS Monterey 12.5 the copy & paste keyboard short cuts don't seem to be working in Dreamwaever 21.3. The only way I can get something to paste or copy is to right click and use the contexual menu. Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Hi, I am using DreamWeaver version 21.3.  I have created a simple web site with several pages. I have a navigation menu at the top of every page.  Currently, I have copied and pasted the html for my navigation menu onto each page.  With this being the case, for any change I make to my navigation menus, I have to make the same change in several places. I am wondering if anyone here can tell me the recommended practice if I would like to put the .html for my navigation menu in its own separate html file and simply reference this file from my other pages. If anyone here can suggest a way I can accomplish this, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance,Paul

I am using Dreamweaver CS6 on Windows 10 and always have difficulty moving the cursor past the closing tag when working in Split View and typing in Design View. Let's say that, in a table, I have a line that reads <td>text... <a href="link">link text</a><\td> in Code View. I want to move the cursor past the </a> to add something before the </td>. If I press Right Arrow, the cursor moves to the next cell or row. My technique is to move the cursor to the code line at the bottom of the window, click on the closing tag of my choice, press Right Arrow, and resume adding text. A related case is moving the cursor to the start of a table cell before the <a> in order to add text; again I have to click on the tag in the line of codes at the bottom of the screen. My question is thus: is there a simpler way to achieve the cursor positioning I want without having to move my cursor to the bottom of my screen to click on code and press Left/Right Arrow b

I need html and css for a simple page that will have 3 images with text centered underneath each image, side by side on desktop, that goes to 1 column on mobile devices. So 3 columns to 1 column. Can anyone help? Has to be .php file to work with our site if that matters. I will use the existing header footer code for our site, and put this html code into the body. I looked at templates in Dreamweaver, and they were not helpful to me.Thanks!

Here we go again with probably the MOST asked question regarding Dreamweaver.  And after every update, the issue re-arises.  And again Adobe will offer the same 5 generic answers THAT DO NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM.So for anyone OTHER than Adobe, please help.I make my images first for an email template that I build in Dreamweaver.  I upload these images to my company's server.  I open Dreamweaver and start building the template.  The images that I point to in the html all load.  Now I go back and I change one of the images and I replace the old one on the server with the new one.  Now back in Dreamweaver, whether I quit and restart the program, use the refresh/reload command, nothing changes the image to show the newly updated image.  It will still show the old cached image.  I can preview the site in any of 3 browsers, and all 3 will show the old images.  I USED to be able to just refresh/reload in Dreamweaver or click between Live and Split

"Reset to Original Size" I changed the size of the buttons on my web site.  So I'm having to go into each image:Select it.Move the cursor to the properties window and click on the crossed circle to ge teh image to switch to the new size. Is there a way to to the entire page or is there a way to select all the images and set to original size all at once?Your help is deeply appreciated.Michael

It's all started when Real Time preview appeared in Dreamweaver CC 2017 last year and it hasn't been working right since then.Very often when I try to preview page in a browser I'm getting this problem:and nothing sorts it out unless I close the browser and Dreamweaver and restart them, which is very frustrating.And yes, the page is opened in Dreamweaver despite the error above...Any ideas?

Just upgraded to new Dreamweaver on PC. Trouble with arrow selection on menus. Selects certain 'fields' but locks me out of others!! Dreamweaver worked OK before this, but I did have trouble with Chapter 4 of  'Dreamweaver- classroom in a book' in that the coding was having a 'wobbley'! I followed the inputting as in the book, but no luck. I tried three times to do Chapter 4. Can anybody HELP!

Using Deamweaver 21.3Can't see blue frames surrounding text or images used to move or resize in the design window.What am I not selecting in my perferences to show the frames around the text?
