Is there anyway to set Dreamweaver to ALWAYS use the testing server for document source? Even though my site is static, for some reason Dreamweaver insists on mangling the layout (in Live view, don't even mention 'design' view) unless I set it to always using the testing server for document source. As it stands every time I open a document I have to remember to set 'View > Live View Options > Use Testing Server for Document Source', and as you can imagine it's getting old really fast.

Hi, I am using DreamWeaver version 21.2 build 15523.  I am a beginner and am trying to follow along with the examples in the book "Adobe Dreamweaver 2021 Version - Classroom in a Book". I am having a hard time with a few of the examples because when I try to select certain elements in "Live" view, DreamWeaver seems to automatically "expand" the selection to the element that contains the element I am trying to select (rather than the item I am trying to select). For example, right now I have a <table> element inside a <div> element. The instructions in the book say (in Live View) to select the <table> tag to bring up the Element Display for the <table> element. When I do this, I see the Element Display appear briefly for the <table> element (maybe not even for a second) only to then disappear. After this happens, the Element Display re-appears and is attached to the containing <Div> element. I can't figure out what I am doing

I have a nice Lightbox gallery on my website now, courtesy this great video by  Dan Carr (https://helpx.adobe.com/dreamweaver/how-to/make-web-portfolio.html#). I embedded a OAM file as directed by the Adobe Help page but while the page title shows, the media does not show. What am I missing? Bit lost as don't know that much HTML and limited experience with Animate. This is the webpage I'm attempting to embed into. It shows in Dreamweaver design view but not published. When I add a new .jpg or http files to my computer they show up in my website folder on my computer, but are not availale when I try to open them in Dreamweaver. They don't show up at all! How do I get them to show up in Dreamweaver when I try to open them?

 Hello, I have created a simple html file to play a mp3 file:  As you can see, the <audio> player does not show in the upper split window. If I click on Real-time preview, it shows the player and it works:  What am I doing wrong that I can't see the player in Dreamweaver? Thanks in advance.

Cela fait plusieurs mois que ce problème persiste malgré les mises à jour de l'application Dreamweaver ainsi que du système d'exploitation Mac OS.Ce problème s'est produit sous : MojaveCatalaniaBig SurMontereyIl se produit sur TOUTES mes machines : iMac 21.5 po, 2017 et MacBook Pro Late 2015.J'ai même formaté mon iMac et tout réinstallé «from scratch» et le problème persiste. Je trouve ça extrêmement déplaisant de payer pour une licence et ne pas pouvoir utiliser un logiciel... Merci à l'avance pour le soutien.

There have been a few posts about Dreamweaver and FTP-ing but no answers that definitively address the problem I am having. I have SiteGround hosting and have tried to set up the remote server to connect to it. Provided I leave the root directory blank, it tests OK. But when I set it to the public_html folder, I get an FTP error that access to that directory is denied. FileZilla connects to that folder, Dreamweaver shows it as a sub-folder of the root in the Remote Server pane, and SiteGround confirms that there are no restrictions on access.There must be some DW users with SiteGround hosting who are using the integration without a problem or I would have expected there to be howls of protest. If any of you are using it successfully, I'd love to know how you achieved it.I'm on the current DW build.

I have moved to DW CC from CS6. In design view in CS6, table cells showed dashed borders, so it was clear where they were. While I didn't want actual borders in the finished product, the dashed view was very helpful for things like seeing cells to merge them, and where to put the cursor to add data. In DW CC, my tables do not delineate cells in any visible way, the conent is just "floating in space". Is there a way to get the cell borders to show without putting actual visible borders on them? 

I have Adobe master Suite 5.5, I recently purchased a new laptop with high resolution, and everything is so small I cannot read it. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Dreamweaver 21  basic navbar How to change the color of the links?

This is back to the issue of the webfonts. I brought them in, I see them in Dreamweaver. When I open my pages in a browser Firefox and Chrome show them just fine. Safari defaults to something like Trebuchet or Tahoma, and  some serif font for the body text. It's not even defaulting to Verdana which is what I entered into the font-family rules. I don't think this is something that I'm doing. But it might be something that I'm not doing. The version of Safari on my computer is 14.1.2 which is certainly current enough to be aware that web fonts exist. Is there some extra step that I might be missing, or is this just something that one has to plan around when dealing with Safari?

dreamweaver keeps putting the text i'm writing in /div tags just below the body tag repeated and cropped at random with weird spacing it does it at random points, once after saving, once when I went to highlight other text. here is the html code it's spewing just below the body tag, it pulled it from the div  i was working on and repeated it. I'm making progress. Solidly into the; Do it. Now do it over, stage of proceedings, but I' getting more familiar with the program. Before I start saving templates, I have what I *think* may be a minor issue to deal with. I have background images. One is a tiled fill over the body area behind the apparant "page" The other  one sits front and center in what I believe would be called the masthead area of the page with the title of that particular collection or the page's purpose. That one is an actual image. I am assuming that it probably ought to be identified? It's linked through the CSS Designer, and it shows up in the selector's list, and I can go to the CSS code and edit it. But being linked through the CSS designer as a background image, it doesn't show up in source code. Only its continer does. I don't know of any reliable way of making it show up in the properties panel to give it an alt or a target description. I was fumbling around with it and it turned

Okay, I don't care how familiar I am with CS6. I'm a rank newbie in CC2021.I'm currently at square 1 of rebuilding an existing website. I've got a base page, that I intend to eventually use as a template. But I'd like to nail a few things down before doing that. Issue #1: I could just go ahead and use the default fonts that Dreamweaver used in the document that I built the page off of (one of the tutorial files), or change everything to Verdana as in the old site. But in the web design class I've been attending over the past semester, we used webfonts. I would rather like to be able to use one of the ones that I'd been using for the headlines and subheads. Just copy/pasting the font import information from the Codepen pages which we built in the class doesn't appear to bring them into Dreamweaver.These are Google fonts, off their website of free fonts. There is no QR code or URL in the Preview on Devices panel. What is the alternative? 

Back in the days of GoLive (I'm old), there was a way to ask what links came into and out of a particular page (the site --> site options search for links in DW only does the whole site; TMI when I just want to know one page). GoLive even did a graphic, with the page in the center, all the inbound links down the left and outbound on the right. Does DW 2021 have any way to do this?My specific problem right now: I have two copies of nearly the same page, and I want to delete one. I want to know if I will be breaking any links, and what they are so I can remedy it, to help me delete the least problematic copy.

Is there a way to change the scrollbar button color in Dreamweaver CC 21's Dark Mode, from a very dark grey that is almost invisible, to a bright white that is easily visible, even for us old timers who's eyes aren't what they used to be...? Thank you. 

Hello, I've had a customer ask me to replicate an effect he saw on Apple's website:https://www.apple.com/airpods-3rd-generation/He would like me to copy the effect to use on his new website.  Does anyone know how to do that?
