I am having the same problem with embedded images disappearing after saving, closing and opening files in Illustrator 2025. Appears to be random across various files. Anybody found a fix yet? I am also hoping for the latest update as suggested – will have to let you know if it helps.

I’ve already updated it, but the result is still the same—this issue is still occurring in some cases. So I’m still waiting for a response from the Adobe team on what I can do about this. This issue is really hindering my team’s ability to produce products that match the design.

Hi satisfied_dancer6e38,

Thank you for reaching out and sorry to hear you're experiencing disappearing of images. We will try our best to help you here. Would you mind telling us the version of Illustrator installed on your machine and the details of your operating system?

Does that happen with all files or with a specific file?

We will try our best to investigate the issue.

Thanks,

Harshika

This often happens randomly in all files, and more specifically, embedded images are missing.
