Hello, For several weeks now, I’ve been experiencing an issue downloading Adobe Illustrator on my Mac. Despite multiple attempts and following the instructions on your website, the download remains unsuccessful. I would like to specify that I’m trying to download version 29.1 (the latest), but it does not work. I’ve also tried downloading older versions of Illustrator without success. However, I have been able to download and install other Adobe applications without any problems. The first thing I tried was downloading the program to uninstall Adobe Creative Cloud. I uninstalled it, then reinstalled it, but this did not resolve the issue. To provide more details, I am running macOS Sonoma 14.4.1, my Mac is up to date, and the model is an Apple M1 Pro with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Could you please assist me in resolving this issue or help me successfully install Adobe Illustrator? Thank you in advance for your support.

It's been posted earlier, but I cannot get the CutStudio plugin to work with AI 2025 (it won't connet/recognize the Roland GS-24). I updated to the latest version of AI (v29) and CutStudio (v3.4.5), but it still doesn't work. I read somewhere the newer version should have fixed this issue, but it didn't. Interestingly enough, when I try it with my old iMac and AI 2023 (v27.7) with CutStudio 3.1.0.0, it works fine. So it's NOT the GS-24. Any ideas?

I have a document with a black background and white text, but when I print it it only gives black. how do I change this?

When I export a graphic from illustrator the color is changing.   I switch my color picker to web safe RGB and set the color to #311a92.   But when it exports and I use it in a webpage it is slightly lighter.  I sample the color using a browser color picker and it #362f8c.   I am using the #311a92 all through my CSS so I need to be able to to get illustrator to export that acutal color.   Here is what I have tried... - Using just a plain square.- legacy and regular export- setting "don't color manage my document" under assign profile- different jpg and png typesAll with the exact same result.  What am I doing wrong? 

I'm using Illustrator CC and I cannot select and move guides with the selection tools. The guides are not locked. I can select the guides in the Layers Panel, but I can only move with the arrow keys. I can also "Release" the guides once they are selected in the Layers Panel, but I still cannot move them with the mouse - only the arrow key. Summary of Problem:Guides are not locked.Some guides can only be moved when they are selected in the Layer Panels and when using the arrow keysNon-selectable Guides can be "Released" but only altered in color and line weight and still only moved with the arrow keys. Desired Outcome:I want to be able to move all guides using the mouse for greater accuracy vs the arrow keys.Thank you for your help.

Hi all, I've been having massive issues with my 2020 Illustrator this week where it's using up a huge amount of my RAM memory when I open any file. After trying all sort of 'solutions' found online, nothing seems to solve it. Mac is up to date in terms of software updates, Illustrator is on latest version and file I'm opening is less than 1.5GB in size. Yet, it continues to use approximately 6GB of RAM meaning it keeps on crashing and it can't carry out operations due to a lack of space. I've wasted HOURS trying to find solutions and I'd be very grateful to anyone who could help me. I've got a MacBook Pro Retina from late 2013, in case that makes a difference to the help I require. Thank you in advance.

Hi, maybe someone knows is it possible to do action reacording while creating number outlines, becouse I always get error

I have no idea what's going on here. This has never been a problem before. If I try to move a point with the grid on it's fine. If that point has curve lines assoicated with it, it will not move if the grid snap is on. Attached video, you can see it not work, then I turn grid snap off, it works, and then grid snap back on it no longer works.

I have a brush tile that I cannot get to space correctly when I make a pattern brush in Illustrator. I have an invisible rectangle behind it, like I always make for brush objects that need a specified spacing. But for some reason, it is not working for this tile. I have 2 different versions of the tile in the attached file. I have tried:to make the tiles w/out the clipping maskto eliminate all but the bare minimum of objects outside of the clipping areadifferent combinations of group/upgroupputting the tile into a different document in case there was a bug in the documenteliminating individual objects from the clipping area (it never worked, even with just one object extending outside the rectangle)I tried making a brush tile with JUST the two rectangles from the top and bottom of "brush tile 2". Even those 2 rectangle won't clip to the invisible rectangle.BUT any other brush tiles that I make work fine.Can anyone tell me what I've done wrong? Thank you!

I appreciate that Illustrator supports right-to-left, but I work mostly in English and I cannot find a way to have the text tool default to left-to-right. How can this be done. I don't want to have to reset paragraph and allignment every time I select the type tool Thanks

I'm trying to create a vertical wavy line repeat pattern. Would anyone be able to help me ensure that the top of the line matches up with the bottom so it repeats lengthways. thank you! diane

I am able to get into my files on Illustrator but then I cannot perform any tasks.  Every time I click an action I just get a beach ball and then it starts to show various previous details of my patterns outlines etc.  I have tried cleaning up my Max a computer engineer has checked it out and added more RAM but I still have the problem - a month now!!!!

It crashes frequently when adding colors to the swatches panel in the 2025 versions — it’s terrible. It happens to me all the time, even after updating the software. Thankfully, I can still work with earlier versions. Back when there weren’t so many updates, it didn’t crash as much.

The data of approximately 10MB is being automatically uploaded to sharedcloud-production-prod-ap-northeast-1-data-temp.s3.amazonaws.comIs it being uploaded due to Adobe Illustrator?I would like to know what data is being uploaded.

I can't remember how to make a clipping mask in the layers panel. But this is the way to keep your layers in tack within the path that you create on a top layer .. 

Hi there. I am trying to open an .aix file that I exported from ArcGIS Pro. Last week I had no problems using the ArcGIS Maps for Adobe Creative Cloud extension, but now the extension doesn't even show up in Illustrator. My coworker is having the exact same problem. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the extension already. I am using Adobe Illustrator 2024. Can anyone please help???

Hello lovely Adobe people,  I have an Illustrator Design for a commerical billboard which is 5800mm * 300mm I did it all in one go to ensure the design would be fluid.Now I want to split the design into multiple parts when exporting because:A. The file is very large (1.5gb) B. The printing shop says their machine won't handle something that big So I want to split it into 5 parts whithout losing the fluidity of the design or maybe there is a way to crop PDF (I Decided to expost as PDF since it seems like it's giving the highest quality when exported if there's a better way please let me know)

Hi there, I am working on mlutiple file and would like to reuse the "charater styles" across multiple files for making sure to have the same consistency. I added a bunch of styles to "Character Styles" but I can't seem to find a way to "save" them. In the flyout menu of the Character Styles panel, there is "Load Character Styles" option but there is no option to save?  I am doing something wrong? Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hello - I made a very long Adobe Javascript that does a lot of things (that work).Part of that script is the request to compress a folder on the desktop (of my MacBook) to .ZIP. It's this last part that doesn't work. I've tried several things but nothing seems to work.So my question is, is it possible to compress a .ZIP folder via a script in Illustrator?If so, could someone share with me the few lines of programming needed to do it correctly? Thanks a lot.   - Dimitri

I tried everything on the illustrator performance page. Nothing works. I have more than enough ram. It lag on every clicks. Worse the longer illustrator is open. Even tried making smaller files with fewer layers and no diffrence.
