How can I change this title and subtitle to a diagonal arrangement, as in the bigger image?

Adobe Illustrator Version 2023 v27.5Windows 10 Pro Since March 5th 2025 we are unable to drag object on the canvas.If we use the rectangle tool, objects can only be created by using coordinates.Bezier curves don't work no more! Anybody the same issues?  

Quando salvo de algum documento do illustrator em versão para impressão no pdf, o arquivo apresenta alguns erros no objeto que usa malha fica aparente, os vetores ficam aparecendo por cima de outros objetos e a imagem de png dentro do documento esta saindo diferente o arquivo pdf. Eu sempre salvava na predefinição PDF/X-1a:2001, mas tá dando esses erros. Agora tô tentando salvar em impressão de alta qualidade, mas ou o aplicativo trava ou estraga algum outro elemento da arte. O que posso fazer?

Illustrator for some unknown reason until today is not working properly after 3 years, the main dropdown menus at the top are now not working at all. Sometimes the effect will drop down but I can't select anything.All other drop-down menus work and all buttons work. it's taking the biscuit as I got assignments to do. Is there any fix?I have already tried disconnecting monitors, deleted remnant files and re-installed illustrator, reset preferences and updated drivers. apparently, 10 series are not supported but it was working fine until now. System: win 11, gtx 1060 6gb, 5600x, 16gb ram.Two monitors and small tv are connected.

I am working on an illustrator file and I clicked the little House or home icon in the top left region I get redirected to the home screen and it seems as if everything I was working on has been closed, I don't understand, is the file still open and I need to click something to get back to it or has it just been closed because I clicked on that icon? Normally if you're going to close a file it would prompt to "save as". What just happened here?

I have a script I'm running that changes localized type in swatches from Japanese to Gibberish. It works ok on when run by itself, but when run within other functions it's breaking. Is there an overall encoding for files that I should be using? HiI'm using in Illustrator 2025 (version 29.3)When I am trying to create images using multiple documents, noticing a weird issue during the copy & paste operation between different documents,due to which the image creation process takes mutiple times to get createdsometimes retrying the same image works but it is affecting the productivity due to multiple times creation of the image. while the image creation process takes place some of the components are not pasted properly where I get a specific error: an illustrator error occurred:1346458189 ('PARM') As a result I get improper images where I could see some blank spaces where the copied content is missed to be pasted.The copy and paste operation fails intermittently, with the pasted element sometimes not appearing at all or appearing incorrectly. I have tried mutiple ways but issue was not resolving. When the same process tried with CS5 version, I don't face any problem the creation process is clean & no multiple tries observe

Illustrator 28 on MacOS Sonoma 14.5 been crashing for weeks. I've installed various updates to v28.   It happens even after a fresh boot when nothing else is running. Usually during any kind of file operation (save, open, place, export), but I've also known it to happen when moving an object.   Mac Studio Ultra, 128Gb ram.     {Renamed by MOD}

One thing that has always been missing in Illustrator is the ability to apply transparency directly to the image and at the same time be able to apply a gradient to that transparency, modulating its intensity, exactly as you can do in InDesign where I can calibrate the intensity of the image's transparency with a gradient, blurring it as desired... is it possible to have this feature in Illustrator?

As you see below, I have three lines to which I've applied a gradient after making them compound paths. It works find for the bottom, solid line example. But for the dashed line, the gradient is applied to each segment indepently. How do I get dash lines to work the same way? 

Hi all! I desperately need help with a problem I'm having. I've been working in production design for various screen printers for a long time and the problem only came up recently but is persisting. My client prefers I export separated tif files of the artwork for her to print on film and then use for screenprinting, and whenever the artwork is vector everything is fine. But when any part of the design is raster, even if the file looks sharp when previewed on screen, it gets a really dramatic stair-stepped or jagged look around every edge (images attached). I read that it might be an anti-aliasing or "art optimizing" problem when exporting but those settings are turned on. Please help if you have any idea what is happening, I need the problem fixed quickly. Thanks!

I used to be able to toggle on and off whether Illustrator adds the stroke wight to the displayed size of an object, and whether it takes into account an object's troke weight when aligning. If I remember correctly it was a check box labelled "Add stroke weight" in the transform palette. I can't find this now - it has been missing for a while but I have worked around it. I'm now doing a job where I really need to be able to toggle it on and of as I'm wokring. Has it been renamed, moved to another palette? 

Hello, Everyone. I'm learning a lot of new techniques from all the members here. Thank you SO MUCH. You've been a lifesaver.  Most of my learning of AI has come through YouTube, and it's really great, but I can't find the answer to the following question.  Below is the image I'm working with. The number and the clover / Shamrock are being engraved, the holes and the outside shape are for cutting. Here is the issue. I cannot get this image to laser engrave and cut at the same time. It will perform either task perfecly on its own, but not simultaneously. What's weird is, it was working fine and doing that 48 hours ago with this exact same image, but now it won't. I assume I must have accidentally made some minor formatting change that has changed this.  Any Ideas? Thank You.   

i restarted my mac and forgot to save a completed project in illustraotor. Og course it got deleted, how can i return it ????

Whenever I try to launch Adobe Illustrator for work in my Digital Art class, I can't. I have tried changing settings and a lot more. It is getting annoying because I have a bad grade in my class and can't do assignments to fix it. I have tried asking the teacher for help multiple times over 5 weeks. The teacher is of no use like she always is.   

Hi there, was wondering if anyone was experiencing being unable to drag and drop images from photoshop to illustrator. When I move the image between the apps on my desktop, the green circle plus sign appears in Illustrator like it's going to drop the image, but then nothing happens. I can still drag images from Illustrator to Photoshop no problem. I know I can export a PNG file of the image and then place it in Illustrator, but it's not the same. Both Illustrator and Photoshop have been updated to the latest iterations (AI v29.3, PS v26.3). Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!

When I export a file from Illustrator to JPG format and transfer it to the Wasatch RIP software, the size increases. For example, I export 100 cm x 100 cm, and in Wasatch, it appears as 417 cm x 417 cm. This only happens with JPG; if I use PNG or PDF, the problem doesn't occur. I've already reinstalled Illustrator, and it's not fixed. What can I do?

Hey folks, My company recently purchased a laser etching machine for pad print plates. It uses EZCad2 for setting up files (don't even get me started there) and I've encountered many issues with vector files. Apparently, this software sees compound paths as complete objects and will fill their entirety solid instead of honoring vector lines. For example, if I'm printing an O that is a compound path, even if no object is inside of the O, it will fill the entire thing black and turn it into just a solid circle. Releasing the compound path gives me two vector objects filled with black but if I use pathfinder to punch the center of the O back out, it turns back into a compound path and I'm right back where I started. Unfortunately, the artwork in question is from an outside source so I'm limited in tackling this from the source. Has anyone ever dealt with an issue like this? Any help is very appreciated and thank you in advance!

I want this grid to fade away from bottom to top. I thought applying a gradient to the grid from white to the color of the background image would do it, but every way I try it (rasterizing, expanding, etc.) it either does nothing or the gradient is not applied evenly to the lines from top to bottom (sometimes the vertical lines have the gradient but not horizontal or vice versa). How do I do that, or is there a better way to achieve what I am looking for?  

So apparently I pulled the side menu bar and accidentally press the X, which closed the menu bar and now I can't figured out how to reopen it to keep on doing my work. Hope you can help. Thanks.

I customize my shortcuts in Illustrator every time I install a new version, but I don't know how to load this configuration when I reinstall the program. I can't find the file or I don't know how it's saved and loaded. I would appreciate it if you could guide me through this process so I can have my custom keyboard shortcuts for Illustrator functions in each new installation.

Hey all!I'm trying to make a bunch of business cards using a template en masse with a Excel document.This contains Inuktitut characters that I would like to remain in the finished product. I've tried it with and without the Inuktitut, all the cells are filled and I've done a search for all empty cells to be sure. Each time, the result is the same: invalid library. For not losing my work progress, I saved my AI file to Adobe Cloud as .AIC. I turned on Auto Save Cloud Document and set it to save every 5 minutes. I did a lot of work yesterday in this .AIC document. Today morning my AI crashed. I tried to recover the LATEST change and I supposed to see the LATEST version of it. But in the Cloud file recovery I can only see the oldest version!!!!    Adobe why you are doing this, I chose Cloud saving because I expected it can auto save my progress like Figma. But you guys did a really bad job. I hope your engineers can fix this.    I will never save my files to Adobe Cloud again. This is so disappointing.

Hi,I've just switched to Illustrator on the iPad from Mac desktop and there are two desktop functions I'm having a hard time finding an alternative for. 1. Moving an object by a specific value - I.e. on desktop I would move an object by using Transform - Move - then specify the horizontal or vertical value that I would like to move it.  2. Pen tool - on desktop Illustrator I would create straight lines by holding Shift key down when plotting points. On the iPad I've tried having grid view on and snapping to grid, but it doesn't seem to actually do it... Thanks, appreciate any suggestions for similar functions!
