My Adobe Illustrator still asks for heic/heif files even though I have it installed. so I have to restart the application again when I encounter an error warning

Hi everyone, since today i noticed a problem with illustrator on my desktop pc (on my notbeook i don't have this problem and both are the same, latest version).Basically both tools if i click with the mouse and drag to design the shape looks wrong. The SKEW settings is always positive and negative for the horizontal and vertical, and never set to zero as it should be to keep the right design.I've tried to reset my illustrator preferences but the problem is still there.Anyone knows how to fix this annoying thing? Here's some screen to try to explain visually:Click + drag with the mouse (as you can see the skew are -500 and + 500) Only one click with the mouse (skew set manually to 0 and 0) Click + drag with the mouse (as you can see the skew are -500 and + 500) Only one click with the mouse (skew set manually to 0 and 0) Thanks in advance to everyone.

I have 600 unique QR code stickers that need to be resized, to 1" by 1", the artboard resized to fit, and exported as PDF with marks and bleed to be cut.  I figured out most of this but I can't get the artboard to cooperate. Is this a scripting task? 

Today after updating the program to version 29.3 all pictures that were PNG format became regular pictures. When O mooved the picture outside artboards it looks like PNG. When O saved the file as JPEG, all PNG pictures are saved as required (screen attached) Is it possible to fix this proble? Because it difficult to work when white color cover other objects and final result is not visible befor saving  

Hi, I am new to illustrator and am taking a class online. No one really responds to the class anymore and I don't want to wait and see if I get a response. I was wondering if someone could help me here. I am learning the pen tool and how to use it we are tracing an image of a cat. Below is how is started tracing the image but when I get to the nose part and try to make a curve, it is cutting off the orginal image and is making a whole new image. How do I get this to stop? In the video from the class it wasn't discussed and I would really like to know how to fix this. If you need more clarification please let me know. 

I'm familiar with all of the export options, I think. But as I understand it, my only options are to choose a resolution that I want. That's great but I'm trying to get the cleanest version of the photo as possible, and I want to avoid Illustrator scaling it up or doing any unnecessary compression. Thanks for sharing any tricks!

Anytime I double-click on an Illustrator file to open it, the Illustrator CS6 window opens up too small to view the file. It comes up with an error message that says "Can't open the illustration. There is not enough room for the window; increase document area and try again."If I then click on the box to expand the Illustrator window to full-size, then I can open the file. It's just frustrating that everytime I try to open an AI file by double-clicking on it, I get this error message.

I'm building large gang sheets in illustrator (22.5 inches x 240 inches), exporting them to png (300 dpi, type optomized hinted) but when opening these files in photoshop or another application, even illustrator, they are only 2.1933 inches X 23.3196. Putting the pngs back to the original size makes them pixelated. I do the exact same sequence in Illustrator 2024 and have no issues at all. I've searched the documentation for any information but I can't seem to find any setting that would affect this. Any ideas or suggestions?

I am brand new to Adobe everything. I am using Illustrator to design t-shirts.  I struggle to modify geometry with the Direct Selection tool since every time I click it, it will switch to the Selection tool. I tried Ctrl+Shift+B, which worked temporarily on one design but not the other. I tried turning off Real-Time Drawing and Editing, which worked temporarily. I have been able to manipulate rectangles but not triangles.  I have a 2022 Asus ROG Flow X16 and the newest version of Illustrator. If there are any other significant updates, changes, or pointers that would be helpful for my device, please share them so I don't have to make more posts plz and thank you.

Hey All,I'm not able to adjust the text boxes, and general shapes, sizing since the last update. Before I was able to grab an anchor point and adjust the box size in general, but now I'm only able to grab an individual anchor point and have to adjust each point individually. << I hope that all makes sense. Is anyone else having this issue? Any help in fixing it would be greatly appreciated--it's getting rather annoying and slowing down my work output and flow. Cheers!

I'm having an issue with text not bottom aligning within the text frame. I have the Area Type set to bottom (as pictured). The text within the frame will align to the bottom as I am resizing it, but after I'm done resizing, the text moves back to the top of the text frame. I can't figure out why it's doing this.

I'm having a problem where I've already downloaded Adobe Creative Cloud on my computer and should have free access to Adobe Illustrator through my university's student account, but for some reason the only versions of Illustrator that show up in the Creative Cloud are the web version and the tablet version. How do I fix this?

Hi,I created a long vertical file (resume) 210 mm x 580 mm. I thought it would be possible to split it automatically into two files when exporting to PDF, but it wasn't possible. So I decided to rearrange the design and changed the size to 210 x 294 and created a second artboard the same size to which I moved the elements that did not fit the first one.Now when I try to export it as a PDF the second artboard is exported as a blank page. All the elements are in the artboard and in the preview export window they are visible also. When I exported it as PNG it was visible. I would appreciate your help in resolving this issue. 

Hi EveryoneHave a customer of mine that is converting AI files to PDF and then trying to print PDF but get an ERROR: stackunderflow error after first page is printed. They are using 4 Konica Minolta C450i copiers 3 have IC-420 Fiery controllers and 1 uses standard controller using PS drivers. If they print directly from AI it prints all pages. I narrow it down to PS drivers once I changed to PCL the PDF's worked but the Fierys dont play well with PCL drivers on them. Need to see if someone as a solution for me. Also attached the error page. Thanks

Nothing has changed, no settings has been manipulated with, I've even tried resetting all setting and reinstalling the app, but my vectors and objects no longer snap to guidelines. Smart guide is on, snap to point is on, everything else is off. I can't zoom and center the objects to the guide lines anymore... Please help!

Hi All!I've asked to generate background in rectangle for description "White room, curtains and window at the left" and got "One or more words in your prompt violate user guidelines". Screenshot is attached.What could be a problem? P.S. Midjourney and ChatGPT generated image with the same prompt as usually very well.I've tried it for the first time (just for test) and even first request failed. Also Topics requested to send this post do not relate to the issue. Hi,We use a lot of dynamic symbols in the fashion industry to make colorways and keep the link with the original sketch which is in black and white.In Illustrator CC 2019 (23.1.1) and CC2020 (24.3) version on Mac and Windows, I noticed several bugs with the dynamic symbols:When I copy a dynamic symbol (CTRL + C / CTRL+V), the outline of the copy disappears.When I copy a dynamic symbol (ALT + Drag & Drop), the outline of the copy disappears.When I copy a dynamic symbol using CTRL + C / CTRL + F, the outline of the copy is normal.When I copy a dynamic symbol from one Illustrator document to another, the outline of the copy disappears.Do you have any idea where this problem comes from? Thanks for your help !  Daté TETEGAN

Hello Community, I need help with an Adobe Illustrator script for Stacked Object Distribution. Simple objects work fine, but when they are objects with a clipping mask, the same does not happen. Objects with a mask are stacked according to the content they have inside in order to align with the simple objects. Let me explain in the sample image.

Hello Community, I hope you can help me.This past week working in Adobe Illustrator 29.1 everytime I "place" another .ai file in my base illustrator doc it comes in as a group.  Inside the group everything is clipped.  It is supposed to be a linked file. Does anyone know what glitch may have corrupted the "place" function? Thank you for your thoughts.

We just had a large wall graphic with several placed links - had one of the links change to another in the document. Before we send files to the printer we make a JPG which shows files correctly but the AI file is changed. Anyone have that issue?

When I open illustrator file an error pops up that says "Program Files (x86)/common files/adobe/startup scripts CC/adobe InDesign/indesign-v20.0.jsx" I know its not an indesign file because i opened it yesterday before i installed illustrator updates over night
