I've tried expanding, isolating the mask, grouping, ungrouping, and yet this box won't go away. I had to add fill and stroke back in via the appearance panel, but it just applies to absolutely everything in the bounding box. Oddly, I can still edit the individual vertices.

I don't know if anyone has ever encountered this, but my Illustrator refuses to use the Times New Roman font. It wont even show in the font list. I can find it if I choose the bold version and then switch to the regular version. But it keeps showing the  font  show below somehow.I've tried deleting the IllustratorFnt.lst file, replacing the font itself (several times from several sources). But it refuses to acknowledge the fact the font exists and it's driving me crazy because I litteraly can't use one of the most widely used fonts on the planet and unfortunately I have several clients that use this font.  

The png export preview isn't showing with the latest release update.

Hello everyone, I have recently encountered a problem with my Illustrator experience. I have used the software for about two years now and have only recently started having lots of problems with it regarding copying and pasting. Before, I had the problem of a copy + paste only pasting a text file, though I eventually found how to fix that in preferences. I am not sure why this setting would change for seemingly no reason, but I figured it out. Now I am having a new problem with it. I often copy the artwork I am working on in Illustrator and paste it into personal dms to show my friends my progress with it. This has worked for the years I have used the service so far, but today it has stopped working. I copy the artwork in Illustrator, then move to the personal DM to paste it, and when I paste the artwork I no longer get the image that I am usually greeted with, but instead a massive block of words, these words being only part of a layer I have dedicated to text. 1. Some of the fonts I install (3rd party) in Font Book show up in the Font Book folder but not in the Illustrator Font Family menu. 2.  When I open a new Illustrator file it selects the default font. If I specify a different font in a text block it changes to that font. If I return and select one of the letters it automatically changes to the default font.

Hello everyone, I want to replace some text in an Illustrator file. I know that I can use a script for this. The script can be run on my local laptop. However, I would like to run the script in the cloud on a server without human intervention. I could not find a solution for my described process. Is there a way to customise Illustrator files in the cloud without human intervention?

Suddenly my Illustrator changed it's behaviour and I don't seem to find the solution.A have a text box (live or regular) and let's say it's text is arial. If I click to edit the text and add/replace some of it the new letters come in a different formatting - they don't keep the text's box formatting.Any clues?Thank you.

How do I package Typekit fonts as part of an Illustrator file that is required by a printer?   Thanks to anyone who can help me.   Suzanne

Hi AllI am using Illustartor 2025 and when I go to print, the colours are very desaturated. The Red prints out as more of a burgendy colour. We have tried both CMYK and RGB and they almost identical. All other colour settings seem to be greyed out. I don't really know much about the colour settings or what could cause such a difference in colour between what is onscreen and what is being printed out. If we print to PDF, the colours are fineWould updating the print drivers help?Is there a way to test to see if it's fault with the printer or the settings? Thank you in advance

Hi all, Having some issues with create outline on text which seems to be removing the fill and adding an outline. In the appearance settings there is only a fill and no outline so a tad confused. Could anyone help me get to the bottom of this?    Thanks

Hello, I have to set up artwork files for a clients exhibition booth the back wall of the booth is 9 metres wide by 3.6 metres high. I have set up 3 different artwork files for the back wall so its not 1 artwork file. The booth is being printed in Japan and the vendor has asked for illustrator files and that the images need to be 150 DPI / PPI at 100% size. I have down scaled my artwork to 25% so my images DPI / PPI need to be 600. I need to place 2 images onto each section of the wall (3 parts) a background gradient and an a cutout image of a person. When I try to place an image into illustrator it times out and the image is not placed into the file, the back ground gradient is 550 MB this is just one of the images I need to place. Is there a maximum file size that can be placed into illustrator? I would appreciate any help. Thanks.

Hello community,My work requires fine control over brush size (or stroke width), and I'm looking for a way to set the brush size or stroke width increments available on keyboard shortcuts to a very small distance without having to go into the menu. Is it possible to change the setting for brush size or stroke width increment, or am I stuck with 1 pt per keystroke?

As tittle. I tried with turning off the animated zoom. I am not sure why is it keep crashing. Can anyone help to take a look? Hey community, I recently started drawing a mandala design with the following instructions, so that I only needed to draw in one pie piece and it would reflect around the whole mandala:https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator-discussions/how-to-draw-mandala-using-illustrator/td-p/11840705 Unfortunately i've nearly gotten to the end of my manadal and the reflection has stopped working. When ever I draw a shape in the original pie piece it does not reflect in the others as it has been.Does anyone know how i might be able to fix this? Thanks in advance! Danica

I'm sure this has been discussed, but I wasn't able to find a solution.Every time I copy pixel data with transparency from Photoshop into illustrator, it is filled with a white background. Is there any way to copy and paste into Illustrator without this happening?For example, say I have a doodle done in Photoshop that I want to incorporate into an Illustrator layout. I select said layer the doodle lives on, hit ctrl/cmd-c, and then select my target document and hit ctrl/cmd-v. The exact visual information is transferred into the new layer with no noticeable changes. However, in illustrator, the transparent info would be lost, and replaced with white.I know how to place files with transparency, but that's WAY slower and requires otherwise unnecessary file management. I am trying to edit this PDF so I converted it into AI format in illustrator however I still can't edit it and the only thing I can select is these grid squares? I have tried everthing to try fixing this but I just cannot find a way to be able to select anything. I can select the individual squares and isolate them but i can only move and delete them not select any lines. Please help   

My Type tool has defaulted to setting text alignment Right to Left instead of Left to Right.I have changed the language to English UK and clicked the align text button to left to right, but to no avail.I have attached 2 images for reference.The second image shows the cursor tool but the arrow underneath points to the left rather than the right.

I'm running Illustrator 29.1 on an M1 Mac running Sonoma 14.3.1. I rely a lot on guides, but they keep disappearing when I'm trying to set them. Has anyone else experienced this? I just downloaded the latest Illustrator, and this new feature is wild and crazymaking. Thank you!

Hello, Since a few months every time I want to view my work in presentation mode, my screen dims grey after and it doesn't go away. Only when I go in my browser and put my arrow on a tab it dissapears. I have to restart my pc to get it away.I can't take a screenshot because it's not visible then. I have seen other users ask the same question on Reddit, but no solutions.  Please don't just ask my specs or tell me to uninstall everything, everything worked fine until one update.

Hallo Liebe Comunity, ich habe mir vor einigen Tagen die neuste version von Illustrator auf meinen PC heruntergeladen. Auf meinem Grafiktablet arbeite ich mit einem Stift an meinen Projekten. In ilusstrator ist es jedoch so, wenn ich mit dem Stift in die Scrollleiste an der linken Seite Timme um das Bild nach oben oder unten zu bewegen, lässt er diese nicht mehr los. Wenn  ich den Stift dann wieder auf das Blatt richte, bewegt sich dieses ohne dass ich etwas tue nach oben oder unten. In Indesing oder Photoshop tritt das Problem nicht auf. Außerdem tritt es nur auf, wenn  ich versuche mit dem Stift zu scrollen. Wenn ich mit meinem Mauszeiger den Schieber nach oen oder unten bewege und loslasse, kann ich noirmal arbeiten.   Gibt es dafür irgend eine Einstellung oder kann ich das Problem anders beheben?. Neu instalation des Programms hat nicht geholfen. Alle treiber sind auf dem aktuellen Stand.
